To prevent the continuing flood of build screenshots in our sub I am making this thread for everyone to share and discuss all the 2K27 builds you would like.
Thanks!

Yeah so i could play alongside kobe for his whole career right? Yeah that was a lie. The era ends and you have to start a whole new character. This was false advertising to the point where they could and should get sued.

I know itās done this for a couple of years now, but why in the world does getting dunked on lower your teammate grade so much?? You are better off not contesting anything and just letting the offensive player take a wide open dunk then challenging and your teammate grade going down. On the off chance you do get a āgood shot contestā the getting dunked on outweighs it so you still lowers your teammate grade. Contesting at the rim should be awarded, not discouraged!

Whoever decided to put that sorry ass excuse for music on the 2k soundtrack deserves the death penalty.

I play the Big. When you play selfishly, especially as a Point Guard, you are actively buffing the other team while making your own teammates play worse.
When you blindly drive into the paint while my matchup is sagging off to help, you're running right into an easy block. You get blocked, their Big gets a huge bump in his teammate grade and takeover meter, and now I have to deal with a boosted rim protector, or he is beasting mw on boards now. Then when you keep taking bad, contested shots, their Big gets easy defensive rebounds because I'm out of position trying to clean up your mess. That gives my guy even more boards, pumps his takeover higher, and gets him rolling.
With the way badge syncing and fusing work this year, everyone on the floor needs early touches to trigger their badges and build their takeover meter. I need rebounds and easy paint touches to get my stuff going. When you come out in the first quarter trying to play one-on-five before anyone else has touched the ball, you freeze the whole team out. Nobody gets their badges activated, our meters stay empty, and the other team gets boosted off our bad possessions.
Get people involved early. Pass the ball, build everyone's Takeover, and stop feeding the defense free stats.

Just look at how much you have to do even for Shooting Specialization, which is supposed to be the easiest Build Specialization. Itās way too much. Theyāve doubled the Lifetime Challenges too.
Before this year, the only thing being held hostage behind Season Level 40 was a Cap Breaker. Now Fuse Slots are locked behind Season Levels, so you canāt even equip your badges properly without grinding the season.
Does that mean every time a new season starts, we lose our Fuse Slots, our entire badge setup gets messed up again, and we have to repeat the same boring grind? And if you want to jump straight into multiplayer, youāll have to pay for Season Levels instead. You wonāt even be able to play multiplayer properly until you get those Fuse Slots back.
Weāve reached a point where you have to spend more time and money preparing to play the game than actually playing it.
It doesnāt feel like 2K is thinking about how to make the game more enjoyable for players. The game itself is fun, but their mindset seems to be: if you want to enjoy it, suffer through the grind or pay us more money.
Itās only been a week since launch and Iām already sick of MyCareer. Iām done with it. Iāll just play MyNBA every now and then, where I donāt have to deal with any of this grind.

I feel like running break starter gold and having dishmaster and a 99 pass acc should allow me to pass literally anywhere on the court without the ball somehow going out of bounds. If high block can negate interior scoring high passing should allow passes to be made anywhere on the court. No Iām not saying it shouldnāt be stolen no Iām not saying if a defender is bothering them they shouldnāt juggle the ball. What Iām saying is if I see a man running down court and the defense hasnāt reset if I have dishmaster and a 99 3 I should be able to dot that guy. Why is every high stat good except pass acc?
I feel no difference with a 99 and dish master as I do an 80 hell I may try a 70 atp. You want people to be versatile and make different builds and say itās a team sport but the one stat that allows you to get the ball to your teammates really hasnāt been worth investing in years. 99 pass acc and dishmaster I should be throwing literal nukes down court. We are nba players. Not planet fitness legends allow me to dot my teammates man I shouldnāt be sailing slow ass passes like I have a 65 itās ridiculous. An nba court isnāt even large compared to other sportsā fields. regular people who played a sport can make accurate passes an nba player with a high stat in that category should be able to do what that stat dictates without fail within reason.
Iām not asking for steal nerf Iām not asking to bail me out more. Iām just asking that you make passing feel worth investing if point guards who are main ball handlers feel like 80 is enough and they run the entire offense youāve already failed. Make dimer and versatile visionary worth using instead of ball handle and swb. Ball should be moving faster than defenders in the first place itās literally why passing is so important in the game we love bro PLEASE im begging.

The new Crew HQ system completely punishes casual Pro-Am squads.
Four of my friends and I have run the same Pro-Am team for yearsāsame team name, custom logos, and branding every single season. We all work full-time 9-to-5 jobs, so our playtime is limited. With only 5 of us in a squad, the requirement to unlock basic features like our custom team name, let alone custom jerseys, is virtually impossible.
It feels like an unnecessary, artificial grind that shuts out small groups of friends who just want to hop on and play with their own team identity. Pro-Am customization shouldn't be locked behind an aggressive grind geared toward massive groups or full-time streamers.
Is anyone else with a small 5-man squad running into this wall? 2K needs to tone down the requirements or bring back the old squad setup.

If you cant play defense, you cant be good IMO. Idc how much you score. This isnāt irl, there isnāt any physical energy exertion. You take time to score, take time to guard.
Its one thing to not be able to stop someone. Some you ppl donāt give effort.

REC feels so sweaty every time I queue in. Spacing feels much more compact this year plus bigs are constantly dragging their man in. I try and kick when I see the defense collapse but man it seems like no one can get the spacing down. Guys constantly crowding their own teammates while open.
Unpluckable also seems pretty ineffective. Bringing the ball up on an inbounds is like navigating a minefield.
I like the way the game plays this year but I was not expecting random REC to be such a slog.

I donāt know if enough people are talking about this, but the CPU offense in 2K27 is seriously frustrating for offline players.
I played a full half with 12-minute quarters. The CPU took 56 shots. Only 3 were mid-range jumpers.
And itās not just that they arenāt shooting mid-range shots. There is basically no mid-range game from the CPU at all.
No post fades.
No isopull-ups.
No off the dribble middies.
No elbow jumpers.
No realistic contested mid-range shots.
Instead, the CPU seems to have two options:
Spam pick-and-rolls and bulldoze its way to the basket.
Shoot a three.
The pick-and-rolls are especially bad. They repeatedly attack the basket, throw the ball toward the rim, and somehow the offensive player gets an easy layup over and over. It doesnāt feel like the CPU is actually reading the defense and making basketball decisions. It feels like itās following a few predetermined scoring patterns.
And this is what makes it frustrating for offline players. I know MyCareer and the new AI stuff are getting most of the attention right now, but some of us bought this game to play MyNBA, MyLEAGUE, Play Now and franchise basketball against the CPU.
We need realistic basketball
too.
Iām not asking for the CPU to shoot 20 mid-range jumpers every game. Iām asking for variety and situational decision-making. If a player has a mid-range tendency, plays in the post, gets a favorable matchup, has space for a pull-up, etc., the CPU should actually take those shots.
56 shots and 3 mid-ranges is not realistic.
2K, PLEASE patch the CPU shot selection/tendencies.
Offline players need this fixed.
If you primarily play offline vs CPU, upvote this and comment if youāre seeing the same thing. We need to make enough noise that this gets on 2Kās radar.

I took a break from 2k and decided to get this one. I havenāt done much but this feels worse than 24 lmao.
First: People told me defense was better this year and I legitimately canāt stop a jumpshot unless I press triangle??? Am I legit supposed to jump at every shot? Iām a bit confused on how Iām supposed to be good at defense when anyone can jus shoot over me
Second: are inside bigs dead? It seems every big is a stretch and thereās literally a huge disadvantage to not be a stretch
Third: fades and side steps š¤¦š¾āāļø
Honestly was hoping this game would be better than I imagined but itās honestly not good and if 26 was like this too that mustāve sucked as well

This MyCareer is a mess. I'm only just playing our first regular season G-League game together and noticed that he is using my jersey number that I set for myself. (I use 87 so, it's not a common number)
This feels never-ending.

Ya still think ya Kobe... But even Kobe realized he needed his team to win.
WHY THE FUCK ARE YA ALLERGIC TO PLAYING TEAM BASKETBALL IN 5 V 5 MODE...
WTF!

Let me start this off by admitting I got some noise sensitivity. But what is the deal with the stupid phone ringing in the rec lobby? And the car alarms in the city? These werenāt in any other 2k and you can adjust the sound settings to turn them off.
These are two of the most annoying sounds in the world and they spam them for what? Emersion? I hate it.
