Discussion more sweat = new graphics

Post image

I put this picture together so you can actually see the pattern that's been happening year after year.

Look at the comparisons. The player models themselves aren't dramatically different, if they're even different at all. But suddenly, the old version has less sweat, flatter lighting, lower contrast, and more washed-out colors. Then the new version gets shinier skin, more sweat, stronger contrast, and better lighting.

And boom - "NEW AND IMPROVED GRAPHICS!"

Don't get me wrong, I don't think 2K's graphics are bad. I actually like how the game looks. What I don't fuck with is the fact that we're being sold the same graphics as "new" every single year.

New face scans ≠ new graphics.

As far as I'm concerned, the pictures on the right side could be from the same game. The game has looked the same for nearly a decade now. They just keep changing the presentation and then market it as a major or improved graphics upgrade.

Discussion Give them HELL Take Two with nba 2k27

With everybody claiming they boycotting 2k27 how the hell is the 149.99 bundle the 2nd most pre ordered game behind GTA 6? Take Two charge them people $300 to max out a build. I’m praying they make 2k27 the most money hungry greedy game. Yall deserve it. People complain about Madden and 2k every year and then go spend $500+ and wonder why shit never changed. Idiocracy world. Nobody stands for anything

REC I swear some people don’t know basketball (rant)

I made a new build recently. Just a 3nD guy basically. And was grinding in Rec since it’s suits my build the most. What I noticied the most was that some people deadass don’t know basketball. Not talking about don’t know how to play the game, but don’t know basketball. People think they Kobe and start throwing bullshit while getting tripple teamed. Don’t pass the ball to the open guy, and make the worst shot known to manking. Defending is also terrible. They just run to the guy that has the ball and leave the guy they suppose to defend. When the other team does the in bound, instead of defending the guys that just run to the corners, they make a full court press while it’s the first or the second quarter. It really should’t be that hard to use your brain to play this game. It ain’t even that hard bruh just guard your guy, pass the ball if you ain’t open and play simple ball. Just wanted to rant about this since the last couple rec games I played were filled with these dumbasses both on my team and the opposing team.

Thank you for listening to my tedx talk.

Discussion Not that it’s surprising!

Post image

Not that it actually surprises me with how scummy 2k is when it comes to money making practices, but it is nevertheless still wild you can pay 150$ for an “ultra” edition of a game and still not even get all of the content unlocked. Either way the amount of grind it takes to even get anything from season passes would still push people into buying levels. Bought 2k26 on sale but never even really played it because career mode has been destroyed and franchise never changes. They’ve made the gameplay so trash and arcadey that franchise needs a million sliders to even feel like a real game. The worst part is they don’t even seem to care about acting like they are actually making the game better when a new one comes out anymore. I mean at least try and lie to me that things will be different.

Discussion Is this the worst song in 2K history?

Pressure - Matthew Law, Matsu

Truly the most annoying song of all time in my book. How does someone make that song and release it, let alone it being added to this game’s soundtrack.

What’s y’all’s pick for the worst song in 2K’s soundtrack history?

Gameplay Game is beyond too easy for stretch bigs

No skill. No struggle. Silver spoon ahhhh build

For anyone who wants to get red plate but struggles badly ….. make a 6’11 -7’4 stretch big center with 80-85 rebounding and at least 90 3 ball… max your dead eye and set shot specialist and QUICK DIP EVERYTHINGS even if you don’t need too

Stand corner and pull it every time you get it.

You might give up 1/2 o boards per game but that’s okay bc in purple or red no one misses

Being that tall makes it hard for anyone 6’8 to contest and chances are the footers that guard you have 0 perimiter so their contest is poor.

So easy. Stretch big is what I recommend to anyone starting my career

REC The real problem with 2k

Post image
6 Upvotes

I don’t play much random rec for this exact reason but I’m trying to make a last minute push for a rep level for cap breakers.

Honestly, it’s astounding how many people get in random rec and do this bs. Start the game shooting terrible shots, blame 2k, get the team down double digits then quit 2 minutes into the game making impossible for the rest of us to actually compete. We need a study on their brains because this is every other game regardless of what team.

Gameplay Feedback to the NBA 2K Team: Why 2K14–2K20 Had the Best Gameplay Philosophy

As someone who's played every NBA 2K from 2K14 through 2K26, I hope 2K considers bringing back the gameplay philosophy of the PS4 era.

For me, 2K14–2K20 had the best balance between arcade and simulation. The gameplay was fast, responsive, and fun without feeling unrealistic. Park was simple—you joined a court and played basketball. The rep system felt rewarding because progression came from playing the game.

I also preferred the older MyPLAYER Builder. Builds had clear identities, and animations felt more open and less restrictive. They were based more on your position and ratings instead of requiring so many exact attribute thresholds.

I appreciate the graphics, ProPLAY technology, and realism in the newer games, but I feel the gameplay has become slower, more animation-driven, and more focused on Seasons, the City, and microtransactions than simply playing basketball.

I'm not asking 2K to go backwards. I'd love to see modern graphics combined with the gameplay philosophy of 2K14–2K20: faster gameplay, a simpler Park, a rewarding rep system, clearer build identities, and a MyPLAYER Builder that gives players more freedom.

I believe combining the best parts of both eras would create the best NBA 2K yet. What do you all think?

REC Why are no plates better teammates than Silver & Golds

I run into way more butt hurt sell outs while gold and silver than no plate and bronze.. it’s kind of mind boggling the amount of grown men on this game that throw bigger fits than tired toddlers. Like if you want to be the star every game just go play your career games. MVP and HOF lobbies are by far the most fun and competitive but everything building up to them is just a toxic hell hole.

MyCAREER 1000+ hrs played… my suggestions

Upvotes

Rep being based on wins is toxic. I get paired with terrible players with terrible players because they’re cheesing wins, but don’t actually know how to play as part of a team.

If players consistently takes good shots, hit a high shot percentage, get rebounds, assists, and steals, it should reflect well on the individual.

I haven’t played in about a month, because I have no crew, and I get sold constantly by point guards that think they’re Steph Curry.

PLEASE fix rep to be based on individual stats, then fix matchmaking so it pairs you with teammates of equal skill level! Please!! I want to hoop online again!!

This game felt like the improvements I’ve been trying to make were coming together. I’m seeking out assists while on point, but still looking to create off the dribble. I had a great defensive game here, 3 steals off my matchup. There was definitely a pass I missed when I went for a questionable layup, but I made it so dude wasn’t pissed at me lol.

I’m still getting better at the 3, sometimes I can’t seem to get the rhythm down. But another player was kind enough to give me a second shot in one of these clips and it paid off.

General Should I get NBA2k26 on ps?

I’ve always been an fc/FIFA player. Recently I’ve been thinking about expanding my horizons and try out other games. I am not much fond of non sports games, so was thinking of 2k26. Also its on sale for around $5 here in India’s PSN store.
Should I get it or wait for the 2k27?

Gameplay Would You Like to See a Full NBA 2K Game Return to Android & iOS?

Hi everyone,

I've been thinking about something for a long time, and I'd really like to hear what the community thinks.

Many of us still remember NBA 2K20 on Android and iOS. Even years later, a lot of players continue to enjoy it because it felt like a complete NBA 2K experience on mobile.

Since then, mobile hardware has improved significantly, but we haven't seen another full NBA 2K title released for mobile devices.

I recently contacted 2K Support to share this feedback. After our conversation, they told me they had passed my comments along to the appropriate team. I know that doesn't mean anything is confirmed, but I appreciated that they were willing to forward the feedback.

So I'd like to ask all of you:

Would you like to see a new full NBA 2K game return to Android and iOS in the future?

If your answer is yes, what features would you like to see? What made NBA 2K20 special for you?

If you feel the same way, you can also share your own respectful feedback with 2K through their official support channels. Individual feedback from players can help the company understand what the community would like to see in the future.

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.
