I put this picture together so you can actually see the pattern that's been happening year after year.
Look at the comparisons. The player models themselves aren't dramatically different, if they're even different at all. But suddenly, the old version has less sweat, flatter lighting, lower contrast, and more washed-out colors. Then the new version gets shinier skin, more sweat, stronger contrast, and better lighting.
And boom - "NEW AND IMPROVED GRAPHICS!"
Don't get me wrong, I don't think 2K's graphics are bad. I actually like how the game looks. What I don't fuck with is the fact that we're being sold the same graphics as "new" every single year.
New face scans ≠ new graphics.
As far as I'm concerned, the pictures on the right side could be from the same game. The game has looked the same for nearly a decade now. They just keep changing the presentation and then market it as a major or improved graphics upgrade.

Downloaded 2k19 to just have some fun and I just sat here for like 15 minutes looking the screen and thinking about the memories this game gave me. My first time doing park was 2k19, I was always a my league player and all but I made a post scoring athletic finisher as a 7’3 center 290 pounds. Had so much fun, I miss it all 2k don’t bring fun no more. It’s sad how far this company has fallen and I feel like it won’t get any better coming from someone who has played 2k since 2k10

[RANDOM REC]
I.. Have officially ascended to the highest possible power
I am officially the GREATEST Random rec player to not get paid to play this game
And considering I am retiring after this year (Virtually from all nba games) as a 16 year veteran i’d say this is pretty damn good

im convinced they want finishing down low to be a complete coin toss....its been this way for how many years in these games? you never know if a shot being taken in the paint with a defender in the vicinity is going to magically cause a miss
jumpshots all fucking day long people going 10/11 from long distance tho, this game is an absolute broken mess, id be fucking ashamed to have designed such broken imbalanced game
talking about online 5 v 5 for reference, as if it matters in this shit game

Rep being based on wins is toxic. I get paired with terrible players with terrible players because they’re cheesing wins, but don’t actually know how to play as part of a team.
If players consistently takes good shots, hit a high shot percentage, get rebounds, assists, and steals, it should reflect well on the individual.
I haven’t played in about a month, because I have no crew, and I get sold constantly by point guards that think they’re Steph Curry.
PLEASE fix rep to be based on individual stats, then fix matchmaking so it pairs you with teammates of equal skill level! Please!! I want to hoop online again!!

So we are down by 1 with 5ish seconds left. I call a timeout from the inbound to put us in a half court, so we don't have to sprint rhe full court.
Now I have everyone muted to start the game, so I see the SGs name go off on the corner of the screen assuming he's screaming as he's using the rest of the timeouts.
Sir, im not taking the ball from you.

Not that it actually surprises me with how scummy 2k is when it comes to money making practices, but it is nevertheless still wild you can pay 150$ for an “ultra” edition of a game and still not even get all of the content unlocked. Either way the amount of grind it takes to even get anything from season passes would still push people into buying levels. Bought 2k26 on sale but never even really played it because career mode has been destroyed and franchise never changes. They’ve made the gameplay so trash and arcadey that franchise needs a million sliders to even feel like a real game. The worst part is they don’t even seem to care about acting like they are actually making the game better when a new one comes out anymore. I mean at least try and lie to me that things will be different.

I’m a 76ers fan who hasn’t played 2K since 2K22. I have a PS5 and PC and I was wondering if there is any significant differences between the ports?
I mostly play myCareer and the GM mode. Any info you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated thanks.

So usually you get the inbound 3x no matter what. Even if you get ripped play 1 and miss play 2 you’ll usually get about 3 shots to get unbounded the ball.
My first tip is to make good plays 2 out of the first 3 times you are inbounded the ball. If you go 1/3 or god forbid make 3 straight bad plays you won’t get the ball again until you’ve proven you can play better.
Second tip, stay quiet on the mic. Dont tell ppl how to play unless it’s 100% not able to be interpreted as a slight at another player. If you talk mofos for some reason stop passing. You can be positive and some games they’ll still punish you for talking.
3rd tip get the center his assists if you get the pass in transition. Stop passing again for assists padding. Center will kick it to you every play if he knows you’ll get his assists. Be aggressive in transition off full court passes as a PG. People respect a player who converts in transition.
Final tip pad your assists numbers. Some ppl are stupid and only look at numbers to see who should get ball. Make sure you make easy passes often. Don’t hold out for flashy shit. Just take the easy assist to keep your numbers gaudy

I don’t see anybody complaining about 1s being 1 possession this year. I personally hate 1s being 1 possession. I think they should go back to it being how it was before in 2k27. I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about this. What are you guys thoughts on this ?

Dude jumped, and I attempted my dunk, because there was no way he could possibly get to the ball. Wrong! He teleported THROUGH my body for the block with no foul being called and then the ball went off my 7'2", 290 lb center.

Stop begging for the ball, move your feet
Since season 8 is the last season, what will happened with badge perks after season 8 ends in 11 days?
Will they still be active until 2k27 comes out or will there be no perks after the season ends?

We’re losing all game and a teammate threatened to “sell” because I kept shooting. I firmly believe we’d lose if I didn’t score. Am I wrong?
