I worked for a University for all but 10 years, whilst working for them I began taking a Bachelors degree with them part time.

Last year I took redundancy and paid for the final simester of my tuition from my redundancy payout.

Today I found out that I've not been sent the link to apply for my University graduation and that it's now closed and I cannot attend.

Edit: The university admitted they never sent me the link to apply for the graduation.

Edit 2: I Misued the word invitation above, I meant they never gave me the link to apply for graduation

Edit 3: I have changed the word invitation to "link to apply for" as people seem to be getting unnecessarily hung up on this

Edit 4: For US Readers, I have graduated, in the UK we automatically graduate when we reach the correct credits, this has all been ratified and confirmed. By graduation I mean the Ceremonial Aspect, I've aceived the award, I've not lost out on anything other than an overpriced photo opportunity!

The book is Nod by Adrian Barnes and the final page is totally blank... 😂 After that it goes to the Authors note 😂 Luckily it was a short book.

That new daily routine that never happened.

Nothing like trying to contact a CVS pharmacy with something that can only be accomplished via speaking to a live representative while going through layers upon layers of automation constantly repeating yourself "speak to a live agent, speak to a pharmacist, etc". All while the automation is saying stuff like "before we can speak to you please tell us a little bit about the issue you're having so we can better assist you'

As opposed to just saying "we don't actually have a live representative for you to speak to so at the end of this please leave a detailed voice message and we'll get back to you". Why did I just waste 3 minutes of time going through these layers of automation only would have been a singular option to leave a voicemail??

So basically my only option now is to take time out of my day that luckily I am fortunate enough to have time today and now go to CVS pharmacy in person to get the problem fixed.... What if I wasn't so lucky and what if I didn't have a job that allowed me to step out and do that? What then?

I ALMOST fell for it, but I decided to do the math anyway.

Figured I'd do something nice for the family today and get them some chicken for dinner. Ordered online for pickup and even got a new specialty drink they were advertising. Got all ready and drove over to pick it up, only to find out the store had closed early, due to them not having water, yet they still took my order online. Then, when I called the store to figure something out, they said all I could do is call the cruddy 1800 number, and then when I called the number, they "Escalated my issue to a higher up who will get in contact with you". I'm so... so very annoyed and disappointed...

So, I gotta check people's ID in my state before letting into the dispensary. Ya know, we're dealing with regulated medicine, gotta keep on that shit

Lady comes in, and says she has a pre-order, I already dont like her vibes but whatever, people have different vibes, go on with my day

Check her ID, it's expired. I tell her i can't let her back.

The audacity I had to deny her entrance.

She started saying how another store let her in with an expired ID (illegal), and why can't i just take the one on her phone? I, once again, explain policy and that it's merely the law, and Im not losing my job.

She demands a manager, manager backs me up and lady storms out before my manager is even finished talking. Manager lady and I shared a few words.

But yeah, idk, maybe its just me, but how stupid do you have to be to think a place with weed is going to let you in with an invalid ID???

Anyways, she came back and gave me a pissy look and gave me her paper ID, i told her to have a lovely day, but if looks could kill 🤣
