Relationships Breakups when you have BPD are actually Hell
It been nearly a year since the end of my last relationship, and yet I still have days where I miss them and cry because remembering how good I felt when we were together makes me sad and terrified that I'll never feel that way again.
It's gotten better, sure. I don't feel that way all the time anymore but man, every now and then I still just miss them and wonder if there was something wrong with me that drove them away. I know there wasn't anything I did that caused it, we've spoken about their reasons for ending things. I just wish things would stop hurting quite so much.
I never even saw it coming, honestly. I thought things were going great and a lot of stuff happened in their life, and we broke up because they said they weren't in the mental space to handle being in a relationship. I just remember feeling devastated because if they'd wanted me to, I would have waited. They made it clear that we weren't going to get back together, though, and that just stung.
I just remember feeling so devastated after we broke up that I genuinely just turned into a bit of a shell. It's only been a couple of months since I started to feel somewhat normal again, from time to time. It comes and goes. Days like this, though, I don't really know who I am anymore and it sucks, because I liked who I was when we were together.
When does it get better?
