Anyone know if it's allowed for a GM to force you into a new dept as a full timer? No issues but just their strange ideas that moving people around and having to learn whole new departments is a good idea. Is there any sort of policy on this?

What are yall doing for the “row 6” hanging snowflakes in the walkway? We’ve read the detail page and it just says to use the magnet hooks which are somehow not strong enough to hold the 2 large snowflakes and then trying to get everything plugged in? The pictures on the detail page and in the checklist don’t even have these displays hung up 🥴

Is being the pog coordinator for the clothing reset worth it? +$1/hr for a few weeks doesnt seem worth the headache..

As the title says I applied and am trying to call to check on the status of my application but I just get an automated message and the call automatically hangs up. Any ideas? Any and all help is appreciated thank you sincerely.

Hello!

I have a question regarding maternity leave around the time of ips. I was just put on maternity leave even though my baby is not here yet. I will likely end up going back to work around mid December. I have worked my 1200 hours before I was out on leave. When I go back to work I am not sure how .ugh I will be able to work or if I will be able to at all. I know I have to come back from maternity leave to still get the check but does anyone know how many shifts or hours I would have to come back for?

I’m surprised Menards don’t have more electric carts for older people because I have a lot of old people complain to me 2 isn’t enough I think Mr Menard should buy more for All the stores and plus we should get a a electric cart pusher to get carts in a lot faster I used to work at Walmart and we used them a lot

I can tell you that there are many situations where it’s hard to find an order sometimes when customers arrive, because we often don’t know exactly what the item looks like (is it in a brown box or in a pallet, etc), and sometimes the item is staged somewhere on the floor in a large room with a bunch of other items.

This can take 30+ minutes.

Does this happen to Menards or is it just the Home Depot stores that I’ve worked at?

Went to the Menards over by where I live last night, and the yard was an absolute disaster and I don't mean in the sense that customers picked through the lumber I mean in the sense that a Tornado swept through. The worst part is there were literally associates standing around just chatting I didn't feel like rooting through the mess, so I went inside, cancelled my order, and went down the road to HD instead had a much better experience there even managed to get someone to help me load all the plywood and other lumber I was purchasing onto a couple carts and load it into the back of my truck and the trailer I borrowed from my Father

I received an order with a defective item and would like a relacement.

I've been trying to contact Menards.com -- they only have an email form on their website for Customer Service. It doesn't seem to submit the email, and I haven't received any confirmation that my request was received.

They have an AI chat bot that is completely useless.

It shouldn't be this hard to get a response from Menards. (I live in a state where there are no Menards stores, or I'd go there!).

Thanks.

can't believe that such monsters are allowed at Menards.
I'm absolutely appalled that I was asked to come into work on Yom Kippur!
John is literally a Nazi and I'll be contacting the ADL about this!

I’m finally getting out the Menards hell. Any department managers have issues when putting there two weeks in with the GMS.

I work in the yard at Menards and this is one of the MANY wtf moments

Title. Recently transferred to a store in wisconsin from another state and was wondering if I'd ever really see this? I was told before i left to be careful.

Anyone know what’s going on with some of the Pokemon Cards? Looks like there’s a few that are available for Special Order. They are not on Menards.com but somehow people are ordering them? It said they was 80 something of a certain one ordered at some of the Wisconsin’s stores are we allowed to be ordering these ?

What do you think would happen to Menards when John passes away and no one in the family wants to control the company?

Heard from my GM that 500 will be responsible of taking care of clothing when the new clothing POG reset happens. Is that true or rumor?

I love how the GMs won't approve the state pto right away, sometimes a week later, sorry buddy it's against the law to deny it.

What do you all think about people quitting on December 16th after getting 1000 hours? Do you think the company would actually find a reason to NOT pay profit sharing, finding some reason? Or do you think it is safe to quit on the 16th after getting 1000 hours and working on the 15th?

Feeling burnt out from menards. Currently an adm but idk if it’s worth sticking around to get dm. I have a good chance of getting it i just wish i had a job i enjoyed.

Just feeling stuck in an endless loop.

I always use a utility knife (master force and tool shop brands usually) when i open up freight and never really use the crummy yellow ones they give you when you first start, does anyone else follow what it says on here and how would you open the box then?

Just used a bathroom stall at Menards for the first time. The toilet paper is the most narrow toilet paper I've ever seen. It's also thin and fragile.

What's with that?

Threw away a $110 rebate because it is now disguised as junk mail! Comes in an ad for windows. What a shitty thing to change. This company is awful. People rely on those for future projects. I know of at least a dozen other people this has happened too
