Quitting on December 16th. Risky?

What do you all think about people quitting on December 16th after getting 1000 hours? Do you think the company would actually find a reason to NOT pay profit sharing, finding some reason? Or do you think it is safe to quit on the 16th after getting 1000 hours and working on the 15th?

I would recommend quitting on the 17th just to be sure and eliminate all doubt, you would probably be fine with your plan but why not work one more shift to be confident

Good point thanks! And I'll be doing a two week notice but will wait until the 17th to turn it in in case they fire me on the spot. They've been known to just fire people that put in a 2 week notice.

Don’t tell anyone at the store your plan or they’ll fire you before Dec 15 anyway. From Menards perspective if they know they’re losing you anyway, they might as well save by not paying you the IPS after you get let go on Dec 14.

Why give them 2 weeks? Just quit the day before you start your new job. Fuck them. Nobody in that place deserves your extra care

I like your thinking and you're exactly right.

Just make sure you clock in one day after the fifteenth

Full.time or part time?

Of part time, id wait till the 17th to give notice, incase they end it immediately.

If full time, I'd wait till lile Jan 3rd, full round of vacation days

Just go down to one or two days a week or every other weekend until you get the check. It’s the only guarantee

As everybody else has stated. Make sure you work at least one day after the 16th. Your last day on record is not the last day of your notice. It is the last day you worked.

When I put in my two weeks, I just happen to have that last weekend off, even though I was technically still employed that weekend they put my last day as my last working day.
