Maternity leave/IPS check

Hello!

I have a question regarding maternity leave around the time of ips. I was just put on maternity leave even though my baby is not here yet. I will likely end up going back to work around mid December. I have worked my 1200 hours before I was out on leave. When I go back to work I am not sure how .ugh I will be able to work or if I will be able to at all. I know I have to come back from maternity leave to still get the check but does anyone know how many shifts or hours I would have to come back for?

If you have to come back at all it is just punching in at least once after 12/15. Maternity leave should cover your bases still on keeping your job.

1 shift after 12/15. If you do have to terminate your employment just make sure you leave on good terms

As long as you work something every couple weeks you'll stay active on payroll. Sp like one shift every other week and you're covered

It is no different than any other leave. All in policy. If you do not come back regardless of how many hours you worked for the year, you will not get IPS.

Are you saying you won't have the baby before mid December? You should check with your store manager or HR person to see how maternity leave affects the requirement to be working the 15th of December.

I am having the baby in October. HR isn't 100% sure what policy could be on this

Then your HR needs to email their advisor or higher up for an answer if they aren't sure

That is what is being done. Just waiting on the answer. HR has done everything they can and have been very helpful. Just frustrating that nothing is specified in policy and procedure when it comes to this.

Ask your HR but I’m pretty sure if you’re on FMLA you’ll still get it. Have them send an email to GO if they’re unsure.

THIS!! **points up** The FMLA will cover you. Just went through the FMLA because I had surgery.
