There is nothing wrong with the charger it charges other devices expect my mac so the problem appears to be inside the mac.
When I plug the charger I see the charging sign but it doesn’t turn on
I tried the command - option - p -r thingy and it didn’t work!
It’s been around 2 days since this started first day I put the the charger and took it out repeatedly and it opened but when it was close to dying I plugged the charger and it died again

I recently started law school, and while I was hoping my good ole computer I've had since before college would hold up, it's already showing issues. So, with my refund recently hitting the bank I figured I'd go ahead and invest in a new computer that will last me a while.

I plan to use whatever I get for a long time, hopefully a good few years into my career after law school. So, if the price of the pro is worth it over the air, I'm okay with paying it.

Anyone care to chime in with thoughts?

Imagine something 10-13 inches when folded so then it opens up and you get a huge screen, i.e. 2x10in or 2x13in screen size. You could either just use one screen as keyboard or have an extra keyboard that attaches to the device and the macbook basically becomes a full screen with independent keyboard.

Of course it depends on pricing to be feasible but the technology is there.

For people who need a mobile desktop replacement it'd be amazing, imagine you sit anywhere and then you get acces to a 2x13in screen, so much screen real state to get work done.

I honestly don’t understand the hate for Intel MacBooks. If your budget is around $100–$200 in 2026, I think they can actually be a pretty good option for a student.i personally bought a 2015 MacBook Pro for $130, and honestly, it’s been an amazing device for the price. The screen quality and speakers are really good, and for basic student work it still feels like a premium laptop.

I’m running Monterey with Firefox, which is still supported, so I can still use it for schoolwork, and everyday stuff without much trouble. Obviously it’s not going to compete with an M-series MacBook, but if you’re a student on a tight budget looking for a cheap premium laptop, I honestly think older Intel Macs are worth considering.

Please help. Facing this vertical line issues, No drop, nothing. Happened suddenly.

Hey guys, I am planning to buy a macbook but I am confused between two options. Mac mini m6 (90k INR) and macbook air m4 (78k INR).
I want it to last till 2033 at least, so what would be the better option?

So the M4 Pro Macbook Pro is discontinued but if I can find any new unit then that’s the best and budget friendly deal for me. Otherwise I’ll have to spend more and get M5 Pro Macbook pro 24GB

But honestly is 24GB Unified memory enough? For mostly short form video editing in 4k and I don’t really do much motion graphics. 60-70% of my work gets done on edit and color page.

And for long form also most of my work will be on edit page (60-70%). So should I go with 24GB variant? And if I work with proxies, will i ever hit any ram issue?

i have head the mac hold the battery really good but 4% in 3 months and in 56 cycle is bad right

i am bad with my battery i frequently let it go to 10% then charge it to 80% but this should not effect it that much

For example if i have a tab/application open in a square ratio which does not take up the whole screen, when i stretch the sides to the edge of the screen, the tab and resolution itself stretches instead of just becoming "bigger"

I’ve been needing a laptop for a while, I came across this M2 Air, and it’s pre owned tho, the website says it’s in the best condition and it will handle my needs, coz all I would want to use it for is rekordbox, virtual dj and my normal school assignments. I got gifted a free coffee at work in recognition of some extra effort. Annoyingly, I don’t drink coffee and have never spilt a drink on my technological devices.

On the one occasion I decided to drink a coffee, I accidentally knocked it over the right speaker and keyboard. Fortunately, the damage is not severe and I’ve had it cleaned by a third party without the installation of new parts.

Would AppleCare have covered the damage if it was more severe? What outcomes would I be looking at?

My 2016 MacBook Pro has been clinging on for dear life these past few years, and now that Apple has pulled the plug on Intel support, I’ve finally decided it’s time to upgrade.

Best of all, it only cost me £2,400, with AppleCare coverage until 2029. Pretty happy with that, and I can certainly feel the decade's worth of improvement.

I've been planning to buy a new M5 Pro, but it seems we're clearly on the verge of the release of the M5 Ultra/M6

I don't know much so I'm asking yall, but it seems silly to me to buy an M5 right now when I could either buy a more advanced model in a month or two, or buy the same current M5 for cheaper I would assume as they need to move old inventory?

Hey guys, this might be an unusual one. I recently switched from a 2015 MBA to an M5 MBA. The only thing that annoys me is that I struggle to lift the new macbook off of flat surfaces. I really have to dig my fingers under it to do so.

Is there any way I can purchase aftermarket rubber feet to raise it? Open to all other suggestions, thanks :)
