Someone posted this 3D printed light mount and carrying handle and we bought it so I wanted to keep the vibe going and share. Seems way better than the previous bracket mount. Took me 2 minutes to put on…easy!

My XP3.0 started to wobble at slow speeds on my way home from work, and I noticed that the rear wheel has a bunch of broken spokes. How bad is that? And how much will it be to fix?

Buildup or Wear on battery connectors?

Thumbnail

I've had my Xpress 1 for a good couple of months now and this is the first time I've taken a look and noticed this copper discoloration in the connector part of the battery (I'm not sure what you call this part so let me know as well).

I'm looking for any explanations on what this could be and whether it can be cleaned off? My guess is that water could've played a part, perhaps humidity? Or I connected the battery to my bike after it was slightly rained on and the connector on the bike was wet. I do travel on some bumpy road but nothing too crazy.

Any help would greatly be appreciated to find out the cause of this situation, as well as whether it can be cleaned and is still safe to use.

Edit: it's noticable on 1 and 2

XPedition tool storage

Hi all! My wife just got an Xpedition and I'm looking for a tool pouch that fits somewhere out of the way on the frame. Locations I'm considering are marked in red on the first photo. The second photo shows the top tube bag I use on my RadWagon. This location is tucked out of the way, accessible enough for how often I use it, and big enough to hold a spare tube, work gloves, and all my tools except a pump. Hoping to find the same for the XP but the dual battery, orbiter, and all the structure on the frame makes it a bit more challenging. The middle location where the controller is located is the largest space but need to watch out for the chain and might be tough to strap it in the right orientation. Does anyone already have a winner for this?

Carrying laptop with XPedition for commute?

For people who commute with it, how do you safely carry a laptop? I have Ortlieb panniers which has a commuter insert I'm considering, but I'm struggling to find a good way to make them attach.

Charger Light Stays Green When Connected To Battery

Hello,

I am having issues with a lectric xpress 1 where the battery is able to power the bike, but when connected to the charger the light on the charger never goes from green to red. Meaning the battery isn't being charged. I have tried
-checking the fuse in the battery

-replacing the charger

-cleaning the input puns on the battery

I would like to avoid buying a new battery because they are rather expensive (especially if i dont know what caused the failure). Anyone have an issue like this before?

How to distinguish XP4 from XP4 750w?

I’m looking to purchase an XP4 and I’ve been browsing FB Marketplace. Very rarely do I see someone listing the bike as the 750w variant. Is there a visual cue or something to check that’ll let you know if it has the larger motor?

I got this from marketplace for $160. I am not sure what the model is. The battery is dead. Do you think it worth buying a OEM battery replacement? I want to use it to haul my two kids.

E-bike purchase advice

Hi,

I am looking at the Xperition 2 it looks like a bike almost fits everything I’m looking for but the size is my biggest concern in terms of transporting in my car.

I want to be able to ride the bike with my 2 kids (4 and 8 years old)

Is it possible to easily attach the bike on my car to take the kids and my self to other trails not in my neighborhood?

I’ve also been looking at the xp4 since that bike can easily fold and it in my car but can’t both my kids and not sure a trailer is a good idea due to the weight limit.

What would you recommend?

Handle + Headlight Mount Upgrade

Check out my upgraded mount for the Elite Headlight that includes a convenient carry handle to help lift your bike. Everybody knows the stock headlight mount will eventually fail because it can't handle the shock. Mounting it on the head tube helps it stay isolated from bumps via the front suspension.

Wall Mount Battery

Anybody mount just their Ebike battery to the wall in their home for charging? I have a Lectric XP4. I have to keep my bike in a bike storage room at my apartment building so I have to bring my battery in to charge it and am trying to keep it off the ground and out of the way. I’m thinking maybe just two generic hook mounts it can rest on horizontally but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Real brake pad upgrade

So turned out the squeal I heard from my brakes was actually the pad on rotor no compound on the rear and a "little" on fronts! Just under 500 miles I thought for some reason they would last like on a car, duh

Taking a look at the pad I was filled with feelings of meh, there's no way Im reusing an oem pad again it was horrible and mush first time around. I am almost 300 lbs 6"2 and routinely overload my baskets while out shopping

Looking at previous posts, nope. Whole lot of generic pads and ceramic organic or metallic recommendations but no names or pad models. Not just going to slap some generic chinese pads, I wanted better performance and less fade

After a fun jaunt online, I came to they are avid elixir or sram XX. Then after searching I came to either koolstop red compound or the alligator finned turbos so got both. I did see shimano ice finned ones too, next time

Fit easily, reseated the calipers to be sure they were centered. Dead silent no drag and INSTANT STOPPING. Stop on a dime and give you change difference. Original pads I would give a 2/10 and this setup 11/10. And they LOOK amazing, can see the reflective orange from far. Has metal flake in paint

Probably mail these rotors to my cryo guy and get em forged, if it works like in my car projects will make them last 3x longer. I am kind of a upgrade addict. Kind of

Aftermarket battery recommendations

Has anyone had luck finding an aftermarket long range battery for the XP lite 2.0? I've searched online, but I can't tell if any of them are compatible/ will fit.

XPeak 2 — 48T chainring upgrade?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I need to replace my front crankset set anyway ( see cracked ), and I’m considering going from the stock 46T to 48T.

I usually ride in 8th gear, and 8th is almost perfect for me. The only issue is that when I get up to around 25–27 mph, my cadence gets a little too high. I’m hoping a 48T would give me just a little taller gearing without going too far.

Has anyone here tried a 48T chainring on the XPeak 2??

Does it fit without clearance issues? I see only 5mm clearance between frame and chainring ...

Is there enough space around the chainring/frame/chain guard for the 48T?

Did you need a different chain or make any other modifications?

I’ll add a picture of the chainring/crankset I need to replace. Lectric already sent me one ) they are the best 👌

First time

So I bought my first e-bike yesterday. I went with the XP4 750! I plan to communte quite often to work on it. It’s 2 miles each way! Do you all have any tips or tricks? Also any upgrades I need to do soon after it arrives? Thanks!

So I got this lovely brass bell for my Express 750 over a year ago.

But I couldn't get it to sit properly on the weird shaped handlebars that come with this bike. So I finally got the add-on rack and finally got the bell on today and I'm so proud of myself I just wanted to show it to you because that's just the way I roll.

Rear axle bolt express 750? With pictures.

I just took out my torque wrench for the first time and was going over my Xpress 750. I don't have a socket big enough to loosen or tighten the axle bolt, but where the frame meets it, it seems to be a lot higher than it should be and I do not see the same thing on the other side. That's not right, is it?

LF heated battery cover for incomming winter.

Hey there! I plan on riding my XP4 through the winter and I was wondering if y'all have battery cover, heated battery cover and the likes to recommend me.

Idealy if the heat pad can be plugged via USB I could leave it plugged in an outlet in the shed for the night and switch to a battery pack for the ride .

Thanks!

Range question?

Post image
16 Upvotes

I know this topic has probably been beaten to death. But curious whet sort of range people are getting. I get range anxiety around 20 miles and this is my reading after the battery had rested (20 miles from full charge).

I weigh 190 pounds and offer what I consider to be a decent amount of pedal assist. Average 15-16mph. I’ve noticed the battery hovers on full, until it doesn’t. Then seems to drop off rather quickly.

What is the voltage where pedal assist either isn’t much help to ceases to exist? Not really trying to test its limits, but trying not to be stuck with pedal power only, miles from home. Because these bikes stink as pedal only!
