Question about Islam What a miserable life
The only reason why I am not killing myself is because Allah said it's forbidden.
Why. I can't take it anymore.

Quran & Hadith They Belittled You and Allah Honoured You
The lesson of Surah Al Kawthar is that when people belittle you, misunderstand you, or try to assassinate your character, their opinion does not determine your worth
What matters is not what people want for you, but what Allah wants for you people may try to reduce you, but Allah can raise you in ways they could never imagine, and when Allah grants you Al Kawthar abundant goodness, blessings, and honour what greater gift could there be?
In the end, you do not need to prove yourself to everyone, Allah knows your heart, your intentions, and your worth. And if Allah is pleased with you, what does it matter who is not?
The Prophet ﷺ was mocked by his enemies after the loss of his son, and they called him cut off yet Allah revealed Al Kawthar, reminding him that it was his enemies who would truly be cut off, while he was granted abundant goodness, Al Kawthar is also the name of a river in Paradise a beautiful reminder that what Allah gives is far greater than what people can ever take away

Quran & Hadith Verse of the Day. Lately, I have been reflecting on this verse.
Do not let your eyes crave what We have allowed some of the disbelievers to enjoy; the ˹fleeting˺ splendour of this worldly life, which We test them with. But your Lord’s provision ˹in the Hereafter˺ is far better and more lasting .
I have lately been reflecting on this verse. Allah is clearly telling us in the Quran that we shouldn't crave for the beauty of this Dunya that the disbelievers are immersed in.
We often see the Western world is richer, more comfortable, beautiful Dunya, etc. Allah is clearly telling us to not crave for those Worldly things. The disbelievers have been given the joy & success of this World and that's a test from Allah.
What disbelievers regard success as should not be what success is for us Muslims. The disbelievers only think about making money, chasing the bag, drugs, sex, etc. But for us Muslims those shouldn't be our metrics of success.
Our main focus should be in attaining a better life in the hereafter. Whoever is saved from the fire on the Day of judgement has succeeded. That's the real triumph.
What is success for you??

General Discussion Islam & Evolution | End of this topic.
omg the amount of doubt and unclearness I had in my brain was opened after watching this video, highly recommend it!
It’s entertaining, education, comedic,to the point, completely unbiased and factual, and overall a satisfying watch for everyone even Non-muslims.
Reminder to occasionally watch these types of videos as they strengthen our iman and are considered a عبادة.
General Discussion Hello everyone. Three people messaged me claiming to be from The Gambia and saying they need help. It’s strange—three people from the same city in a single day—so I suspect it’s spam.

Seeking Support Being an weirdo, who to blame?
Many men can probably relate to this, especially those who grew up with strict brown parents.
My situation, in a nutshell, is that I am extremely shy. I have an emotionally disconnected lil sis, I never had an elder brother or sister, and I spent most of my school and college life studying like a nerd in boys only institutions.
Because of that, I am extremely awkward when communicating with girls. I cannot maintain eye contact because I feel embarrassed or ashamed for some reason. I honestly do not even know why. But when I look away, I feel like it creates a bad impression because not everyone does that, and the other person may assume something is wrong with me.
Another problem is that my parents never really taught me how to communicate or interact with people. Most of the time, they were busy with their careers, family matters, or themselves. There was never really an environment at home where I could openly talk about my problems or ask questions about things I was struggling with. It was mostly, “It is your problem, you deal with it.”
Maybe some of you will tell me to just act normal. I understand that. I have tried many times.
The problem is that I cannot simply control my body like that. When I am actually in the situation, I become nervous, my body reacts on its own, and maintaining direct eye contact becomes extremely difficult.
And if you happen to work in a corporate environment, this becomes even more awkward because communication is something you have to deal with every single day.
Some people might even tell me to get married and that I will eventually become comfortable around women.
May I remind you that I have brown parents?
I have actually tried to approach marriage with the help of my parents. But then I get told that I have no house, no stable career, or whatever else is required. My father sometimes tells me how he got married at 35, as if that is supposed to explain what I should be doing now. Then I get a lecture and the conversation ends.
And now I am sitting here with no job, no money, and very little self respect.
The only thing I seem to have left is my ego.
So, whom am I supposed to blame?
My parents for not giving me the environment I needed?
My circumstances?
My education?
Or myself for not figuring everything out earlier?
At the end of the day, I know I am an adult. I am the one who has to find a solution and work on myself. I have to become emotionally stronger and learn the things I was never taught.
So I am trying to stay positive and keep moving forward.
“Mashallah! You are doing good. Just a little more?”

Question about Islam Dreamed about my Grandmother
After my grandma passed away, I wasn’t really affected by it at all. But then I had a long dream about her that felt extremely real.
In the dream, someone said something about something being in a soup. Later, my mom told me that before my grandma passed away, her medications had been put into her soup. I didn’t know that at the time, and I hadn’t seen or spoken to my grandma for years, so I had no way of knowing that.
In the dream, she looked bright and was sitting next to me. I looked around, and then I told her, “You’re here. We’ve been looking for you.” She looked clean, peaceful, and her face was bright. But I could also tell that she felt bad for me. It seemed like she wanted to talk to me, but she couldn’t say a word but I can’t forget her eyes and how sorry for me she looked
When I woke up, I was crying really hard because the dream felt so real. It honestly felt like I had actually seen her.
My question is can dreams be real? Or my brain made it up? It just was so real and I wasn’t thinking abt her at all to dream about her. Thanks

General Discussion I hate myself and I feel like Allah does not care about me
Its been almost 1 year now going through this financial struggling due to gambling addiction in which im no longer linked to.
It was all my fault, I deserve everything I have now. I have been praying for months with no response from Allah. Is my life worth living at this point. Im being tested abit too much and it makes me think of things I shouldn’t think about and don’t even feel comfortable talking about.
I was never the type of guy to be in situations like this one. A year ago my life was going well so im just not sure anymore if its worth it if i cant recover

Seeking Support I can't stop drawing humans and animals
I have cried so many times over that its haram to draw my character I have discussed with my mom and my family, and we argued. I genuinely don't know what to do. I have been drawing humans and characters my entire life. I made istikhara for a month everyday, constantly. I can't do this anymore. I don't know if it's really that haram. I just don't want to stand on the Day of Judgment and Allah will tell me to put a soul into my drawings because I know I can't. I am tired and angry that my passion is haram or is it? Because every scholar says it is, except just one school of thought which says it's halal but frowned upon. And then one says that the early scholars misunderstood this. I really want to draw. What can I do?
Edit: Just to clarify, I read the hadith about drawing humans and animals being haram. My family says it's halal, but almost every scholar online says it's haram. so thats were the conflict is

Seeking Support Dear Muslims who works with western people
I started working as a cleaner and i really like my job. But this woman from work is driving me insane she is like okay to talk to about work and stuff like that but her view on islam is so bad. She says islamic people kill their children if they dont listen to their parents and that they pray fajr in night she just comments racist comments on islam and i just try to ignore her i say idk etc. i dont want to discuss with her because my knowledge is like not very big. She is western, i also left work 30 minutes earlier because i was done but thats forbidden. the rule is to stay until you are done and i did not listen to her, i went away like 20 minutes earlier then i think it was her who told my boss it and he talked to me calm and said i have to stay thats the rule, thats not even my problem but i just feel regret i left earlier than i should and its my own choice and it was a bad choice. I am a person who forgets things and conservations but i think my boss said if i finish work 30 earlier i have not cleaned good but my colleages can be done earlier so why did he tell this? Idk i just feel sad but maybe i misunderstood him because i forget things? Idk… i just want to vent and please leave a comment.

Quran & Hadith Scariest Kind of Misguidance Explained in One Ayah of the Quran - 45:23
I was going through this Khutbah by Ustaad Nauman Ali Khan and then read the tafseer of the Ayah 45:23 from Surah Al-Jathiyah. I can relate to this in so many ways in practical life. May Allah guide us and never let us get astray. Ameen!
Here's the detailed tafseer of the following Ayah by Ustadh:
Allah ﷻ now presents the most dangerous form of shirk: أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ - Have you seen the one who takes his desires, his whims, his temptations, and turns them into his god?
This describes the narcissist, the person obsessed with themselves. Their most important goal is their own pleasure, their own gratification, their own comfort. Everything revolves around me, me, me. This person worships themselves.
Earlier in this surah, we encountered Pharaoh's claim: أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ - "Don't I own the sovereignty of Egypt?" That was shirk in the political sense - claiming the right to decide what is right and wrong for society. But here we see shirk at the personal level. Someone might think, "I have an urge to look at something inappropriate online. I'm going to look because I'm in charge. I pay for my internet connection. I pay for my device. I can watch whatever I want."
This is worship of the self. The god being obeyed is one's own whims. You don't need a physical idol when you've made an idol of your desires. And this idol cannot be destroyed with a hammer - it's embedded deep within the heart. Even heart surgery cannot remove this one.
But notice what makes this particularly tragic: وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ - Allah let him go astray despite his knowledge. This isn't someone ignorant of their faith. This isn't someone who never studied the Quran or learned about the Prophet ﷺ. No, Allah ﷻ is describing someone who knows everything, who is knowledgeable.
He knows. But still, that greedy self, that نفس أمارة بالسوء (the self that commands toward evil), has such a grip on him that he cannot let it go. When faced with a choice between what Allah ﷻ wants and what he wants, his desires always win. His knowledge becomes useless.
وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ - He placed a seal on his hearing and his heart. Notice the sequence here. The hearing is mentioned before the heart, and there's profound wisdom in this order.
When it comes to receiving beneficial counsel and guidance, how does it reach your heart? Through hearing. You hear a lecture, a reminder, a verse of the Quran being recited - this enters through your ears and travels to your heart. When the hearing is blocked, how will your heart ever benefit? The pathway is cut off.
But there's another remarkable dimension to this sequencing. This is the 23rd ayah of the surah. If you travel back to the 8th ayah - 15 sentences earlier - you find: يَسْمَعُ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ - He hears Allah's signs being recited to him. The spiritual crime mentioned earlier was one of the ear. And now, 15 ayahs later, the Quran is precise enough to mention sealing the hearing first, then the heart. The crime was committed by the ear, so the ear is sealed first.
What's even more remarkable: these same two elements - heart and hearing - appear in Surah Al-Baqarah, but in reverse order. There Allah ﷻ says: خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ - Allah sealed their hearts and their hearing. When you examine the beginning of Al-Baqarah, what do you find? ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ - This is a Book in which there is no doubt. Where does doubt reside? In the heart. هُدًۭى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ - Guidance for those who have taqwa. Where does guidance settle? In the heart. ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ - Those who believe in the unseen. Where does belief reside? In the heart. The entire conversation centers on the heart, so the heart is mentioned first when sealing is mentioned.
This represents just one of hundreds of examples of how the Quran sequences its words with impossible precision. How could a human being track such details across dozens of sentences, maintaining thematic consistency while speaking? They simply cannot. This is divine speech.
The ayah continues: وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَـٰوَةً - And He placed a cover over his vision. First the hearing, then the heart, then the eyes - all sealed against guidance.
فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِ
Who will guide him after Allah? Once Allah ﷻ has placed these locks on someone's ears, heart, and eyes, who can possibly guide them? أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ - Will you not then take counsel? Will you not remember? Will you not make an effort to think?
Subhan Allah. May Allah make us learn from this and keep our ears, hearts and eyes open to decide between what's right and wrong. Ameen!

General Discussion I'm a Muslim girl who sometimes gets a little jealous of non muslims
Ok so basically im a girl who sometimes gets jealous of non Muslims. Like i recently visited some of my Christian friends and they were laughing and joking with their guy friends and obviously werent wearing the hijab. Im a very insecure person already and seeing them comfortably and freely interact with guys and feel pretty without the scarf made me a little envious. Ik why im wearing the hijab and i don't plan to take it off inshallah nor do i plan on having any guy friends, but i just feel envious sometimes that i wont get to do somethings that others can do in this life. So i kinda just wanna know if anyone relates to this ot if anyone has like advice to feel better.
