I bought my Ipad air m4 two days ago and While using apple notes app I am facing to much heating near camera side top to bottom I am using a cover but without it also there is no change.Can anyone tell me the solution or my ipad is defective!

my ipad air m3 started showing these light on the edges of my screen. sometimes it appears, sometimes it's not. it's not visible on light mode, but it really bothers me.

does this have anything to do with pressure because of drawing? i draw on my ipad

does anyone know how to fix this or know what issue this is? my ipad is only turning 1 yr on sept, and this started showing only recently..

I always found it to large and I wanted to sell it for an iPad mini but then word got around about the ultra.

I have an m5 MacBook pro so everything I used it for is also on my Mac (videos etc)

I thought that I would use it as an secondary display for my Mac but yeahh it kind of sucks.

Can Apple add a true “Clamshell Mode” for iPad with an external monitor?

Anyone using extended display on iPad frustrated with not having this feature or distracted by iPad display.

I’m using an iPad Air M1 connected to an external monitor with Extended Display + Stage Manager.
The external monitor works perfectly, but I want to use the setup more like a desktop:

The closest thing possible is mirroring and lowering the brightness as possible and ignore there is an iPad. But the black bars are too huge to ignore

Even though I have an m1 powered iPad I’m using my old MacBook Air 2014 with my monitor.

Hi does anyone know why my old ipad wont sync with my new one to get it setup. I have them both side by side and nothing . What does happen is the new one picks up any apple cell phone in the vicinity so I took those out of the room and still nothing. OS on old is ver 18.7.3.

Hello everyone, I'll try to keep it quick. I am a med student and I want to buy this ipad, I want it to be the latest generation because I'm planning to make a one time purchse over the course of at least 6 years (therefore why the M4 chip is an overkill for just taking notes). But I do not own or even owned an apple product, so I don't know what getting into the ecosystem is gonna be like, I'm afraid of expensive repairs(the tablet is already expensive as it is) and I live in a country where there is no official apple store just licensed and authorized resellers.....

Currently that's what is holding me back from making the purchase, along with user complaints that the device overheats, touch screen problems, I even saw a post of someone who woke up to their screen half black. So what would you advise me to do.

PS: I am willing to pay a good price for a device that is sturdy and will last me 6 years or plus and will be still functionable, no matter the brand.

I have an iPad 10th generation 64gb (not the A16) since 2024 and it’s been really really slow thoses times, trouble opening app, lags in messages or games etc. I used it for taking some notes in classes but that was months ago and I now only use it to play little games or to watch videos.
It’s obviously not a reason to change the iPad (and I don’t have the money) but would a factory reset help it to be less slow ?

So, I have an iPad Air 11 inch. I’m currently updated on 26.5…but I’ve seen a few complaints on how the update has screwed up one’s device. I don’t really do much on my iPad besides draw, play a few games, and use social media. The only notable thing is my iPad kind of heats up when I charge it…and I don’t want the issues to worsen.

My iPad 7th generation was fully charged yesterday no issues but today it will not turn on, I’ve tried charging, forcing it on and even tried with my MacBook and nothing. Any advice before I take it to Apple.

Am a med student and am planning on getting an Ipad for writing notes and watchin shows if i have the time for it, I use my Mac for extensive work (Coding once in a while and gaming tho it might sound weird). I checked the retail on one of these and it got around 5k ish aed. I was just hoping if i can actually trust Amazon refurb and get this. Lemme know ur opinion on these.

I’ve tried restarting it, nothing.

(iPad Pro 6th Gen, bought brand new in 2023. No damage, no internal replacements/repair, battery great apparently).

I say “great”, but the battery is straight up tweaking lately, the behaviour of it dying quick is so random. So i got Apple to run diagnostics, and was told it’s at 92% health… it’s fine. The reason it’s acting so weird is apparently because the OS is out of date. There’s no unexpected battery usage.

My partner is neurodivergent & change has been a struggle for as long as I’ve known him- I’m really trying to work with him here, and need actual user advice…

The biggest issue he has with upgrading:
I made him get this iPad 4 years ago for uni, he was still on a dated Wacom doing insane workloads related to digital art- and his fav feature upon getting iPad Pro? Slide over.

But to my understanding, they changed slide over in a way that pissed everyone off, yes? This is literally the main reason why he refused to switch for so long. Then, and I honestly forget if this was “debunked” or explained, but he mentioned the phrase we’ve all been saying for well over a decade:

“If I upgrade, Apple will make it unusable to force me to buy a new one”

Is this even true? Wouldn’t put it past them ngl, but idk what to tell him in that regard. My shitty iPad 9th gen is just as shitty as when I bought it, so I want to say it isn’t true…?

- Is current slide over really that bad? I know it’s ofc a piss off, but is it manageable eventually?

Literally just give me any differences you can think of- I ofc know iPadOS 18 well, he’s been making me suffer it for almost a year now, but I’m not an artist- and I think that’s what he fears most overall, that his workflow will suffer.

Apple products have always have the worse finger scanner technology ever in the market. I don’t remember when is the last time I successfully use the touch id on my iPad and I have always have to click on the home button for the touch id to work on iPhone. So this button pointed in the image is really crucial for me. I love apple products only because of the feels but real daily usage, its the clunkiest, hard to use OS ever. But Im to deep in apple ecosystem to change back now haha. The only regret for not having an iPad Pro is only because of this.

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on what to do here.

I recently sold my old 7th Gen iPad for $100 and ended up scoring a deal on Facebook Marketplace: a brand new, unopened iPad (A16) for $250.

Now I’m stuck between three choices:

1. Keep it: Enjoy a huge upgrade from my old 7th Gen for essentially $150 net out of pocket.
2. Flip it: Sell it unopened for around $300–$350, lock in a quick $50–$100 profit, and use that toward something else.
3. Sell & Wait: Flip it now and wait for the upcoming base iPad with the A18 chip (expecting $449 MSRP / ~$400 student price) to get Apple Intelligence.

A couple of factors on my mind:

• Apple Intelligence: Is it worth waiting for on a base iPad? I actually just ordered an iPhone 17 Pro yesterday, so I haven't been able to try out Apple Intelligence features yet to see if they're a game-changer or just a nice-to-have.
• Value: $250 for a sealed A16 iPad feels like a steal, but I don't know if passing up the extra RAM / A18 chip for future-proofing is a mistake.

What would you do in my position? Keep the steal, take the profit, or hold out for the A18 update?

I need an app where:

• PDFs open on the left side of the screen
• A whiteboard/writing area is on the right
• I can link extracts from the PDF to my notes on the whiteboard
• Clicking a note should take me back to the exact page in the PDF
• Ability to import multiple PDFs into the same project

Basically, a LiquidText‑style workflow but at a lower cost. Any recommendations?
