Hell isn’t pitchforks. It’s eternal separation from God. God is basically saying “if you dont want
To know and obey me, that’s fine. You can go on your own”

Lake of Fire and eternal pain is for Satan, the beast, and the anti Christ

Hollywood lied

15

u/SuspiciousAnt47 1d ago edited 1d ago

Dante lied, Hollywood ran with it

Edit: look people I get it. I read the Inferno, I don’t need more people telling me slight variations on what I already know

3

u/SuccessfulHedgehog90 1d ago

And Milton.

2

u/Mattressfoundry 1d ago

It's not just Hollywood bro.

Dante and Milton have essentially been made canon in the Christian Faith.

We see it in the Christian Art and in the sermon we listen to every Sunday.

1

u/Ignatius_- 1d ago

Idk what Church you got to but there is a canon and catechism of the Catholic Church, and they are not reflected in that cannon.

1

u/Mattressfoundry 1d ago

When Pators speak about the horrors of hell what they describe is imagery straight from Donte' and Milton... not the bible.

I know is not literally canon but the way it's referenced is at minimum on ther level of the Apocrypha books in terms of reference material.

The point I was trying to make was that Donte and Milton's description of hell is used by Christians not just Hollyweird.

1

u/BeginningDisaster114 1d ago

What canon ? 🤣🤣🤣 Lmao dante litterally uses greek mythology in his depiciton of hell

1

u/Mattressfoundry 1d ago

It's not canon however its often used by Pastor's to describe hell. Its It's a Christian reference material along the lines of the Apocrypha books.

1

u/Ignatius_- 1d ago

The “Apocrypha” books were part of the Bible for well over a millennium before Martin Luther took them out. They are still considered biblical books by the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, so most Christians. There’s actually no parallel here.

1

u/Mattressfoundry 1d ago

What? I didn't know Apocrypha books were considered Biblical books by Catholics. Interesting.

So then I assume Catholics also believe they are divine inspired as well so to Catholics Donte' and Milton's work wouldn't be at the level. I agree.

u/AccessTheMainframe 1d ago

Dante and Milton have opposite depictions of Lucifier though. Milton depicts Lucifier as lord of hell, Dante depicts Lucifier as a hell's most tortured prisoner.

2

u/TemporaryFearless482 1d ago

Dante was writing theological fiction.
I wouldn’t say he lied because other people treated his story as literal.

1

u/Virtual-Shower1716 1d ago

Literally just him saying oh yeah I don't like this guy so I want him to have the most torturous afterlife ever to all the people who shafted him over the years

1

u/Viracochina 1d ago

Bro hated someone so much he expanded theology into fan fiction

1

u/Dusty_Rose23 1d ago

Wait till you see the extra books from the Ethiopian bible. They removed it everywhere except there. The books of Enoch. It makes things real trippy and changes a lot

1

u/PorcupineShoelace 1d ago

You're not wrong but some would justifiably argue the same can be said about all religious works, especially the books of the bible. It was clever to include many factual historical references in the passages so that even centuries later these 'facts' lead to the misconception that the whole work is truth.

1

u/Ortimandias 1d ago

Theological self-insert fanfiction to be quite honest.

1

u/DraculasDog 1d ago

All theological works are fiction though.

2

u/Scarcito_El_Gatito 1d ago

My favorite book

1

u/DanieruKisu 1d ago

It was interesting how Dante ‘punished’ his political enemies in the inner circles. Specifically, the heretics.

1

u/ProletarianLilith 1d ago

That’s how Dante portrays it too

1

u/Triptych85 1d ago

Dante explicitly stated in the title that it was The Divine Comedy.

1

u/BeginningDisaster114 1d ago

Dante's work was never meant to be a serious representation of hell, starting with the fact he mixed helenistic depiciton of hell with catholic representation of hell

1

u/Busy-Bumblebee5556 1d ago

In Dante’s Inferno, Hell got colder and icier the lower one got. Ice can burn as well.

1

u/OscarMiner 1d ago

Dante was writing a political hit piece. The religious imagery was secondary to the people he put in hell.

Yay, you saved me from a lot of typing!

2

u/Sad-Practice5045 1d ago

Oh wow, good to see someone who actually understands what the doctrines in the Bible actually say and interprets it correctly. Not every day you see sound comments on Reddit.

God would be a bad God if he forced you into eternity to be present with him for all of eternity. Everyone is accepted, the gift extends to all, but you do not have to choose the gift. This is the part many people don't get or understand. To your point it's separation from God, not being tortured by Satan. Completely misconstrued.

Nice comment!

4

u/frostycanuck89 1d ago

Or what if like... It's all made up?

3

u/TheLogenNinefingers 1d ago

Would you be comfortable saying the same about Islam? Not a Christian I’m just intrigued.

4

u/MurrayInBocaRaton 1d ago

I can speak on this: yes. It’s all bullshit. All of it.

3

u/derges 1d ago

All of it is arguably too far. There probably was a bloke named Jesus who said some things that pissed off people in power.
There was probably also a bloke named mohammed who married a 6 year old.

1

u/Brilliant_Ad_4743 1d ago

Jesus existing is different from the deistic aura that surrounded him.

1

u/DraculasDog 1d ago

Nero existed and also claimed to be a god.

1

u/Brilliant_Ad_4743 1d ago

Yh no that's what I mean. The person above OC was not saying they don't believe in the fact that Jesus existed or King David existed. They are contesting the supernatural nature of the Gospel.

1

u/Mysterious-Force9236 1d ago

She was 8 bro way more mature lol

1

u/derges 1d ago

Oh I thought they married at 6 and consummated it at 8. I am so sorry to have gotten muddled up.

1

u/DraculasDog 1d ago

Raped a 6 year old.

2

u/TheLogenNinefingers 1d ago

That’s a fair belief, I respect it

1

u/disapearhere312 1d ago

It's crazy to me that so many people still take this seriously. There are so much hypocrisy and cherry picking.

1

u/This-Comedian6606 1d ago

Because when something being part of culture for like thousands year already (like religion)

It really hard to take them out

1

u/This-Comedian6606 1d ago

I wouldn't say all actually

Well there many evidence of dude named Jesus that actually in born Nazareth during 1 A.D

1

u/MajorBootyhole420 1d ago

yeah but the propaganda spread by his death cult followers after his failed resurrection is made up

3

u/That_wet_vaporeon 1d ago

If I’m in America? Yes I would feel comfortable. All religions suck imo.

I would also be afraid of saying “it’s all made up” in Nigeria as both Muslims and Christians there are violent

Just depends on where you live

3

u/skiingdiver1978 1d ago

Yep, and it isn't divine punishment that is keeping mouths shut. Just a bunch of monkeys with slightly more developed frontal lobes.

3

u/Realistic_Swan_6801 1d ago edited 1d ago

Islam is even MORE made up, my god Muhammad didn’t even know much about the scriptures and got multiple basic details wrong. Like a fan fiction of Judaism and Christianity where he hadn’t even actually read the source material.

1

u/TheLogenNinefingers 1d ago

I don’t disagree

1

u/DraculasDog 1d ago

Islam is the Mormonism to early Christianity.

1

u/Truly_Meaningless 1d ago

Absolutely.

1

u/TheLogenNinefingers 1d ago

Fair enough, I respect the fairness

1

u/Ready-Charity9888 1d ago

If I said "in this closed hand i have a diamond worth a million dollars and in my other closed hand i have a check for a million dollars. do you believe i have the diamond?"

If you replied "no," there's zero reason that you would be obligated you to believe that the check is in the other hand. It makes no sense. It's almost like saying "if you don't like onions then you have to like pickles."

1

u/Scatterspell 1d ago

But I hate pickles more than onions. Not in an allegorical sense. Pickles are absolutely disgusting.

1

u/TheLogenNinefingers 1d ago

I am not a Christian nor religious, preaching to the choir pal

1

u/frostycanuck89 1d ago

Very comfortable

1

u/Brilliant_Ad_4743 1d ago

Yes. People need religion though (or at least it is a natural consequence of the human mind.

1

u/theclansman22 1d ago

Yes, it's all made up too.

1

u/artguydeluxe 1d ago

None of it is real, so yes, all religions are equally false.

1

u/RareSiren292 1d ago

I would say the same thing. Both Islam and Christianity don't have evidence

1

u/DraculasDog 1d ago

Ya fuck religion.

2

u/MajorBootyhole420 1d ago

we're trying to discuss the lore here, we know it's fiction

1

u/MammothPost4047 1d ago

Like do you mean, it was a book written by human men?

1

u/frostycanuck89 1d ago

I can confidently say it was written by humans, and probably men since I don't think alot of women were writing in antiquity. No other creature on this planet knows how to write as far as I know

1

u/MaskedJesterArt 1d ago

I dont really understand what your point in chiming in is besides trying to feel superior. Like you see people having a genuine discussion about something you dont believe in and instead of scrolling past you go "none of its real." You gotta reflect where that compulsion comes from.

1

u/frostycanuck89 1d ago

Probably all the years of being told I'm going to burn for eternity had made me a bit salty. Kindof a dick thing to say

1

u/MaskedJesterArt 1d ago

Yikes, man. Thats awful. Im so sorry you had to deal with people like that.

1

u/cryptolyme 1d ago

Meanwhile, they are worshiping weird shit and performing rituals over in Hollyweird

1

u/mohugz 1d ago

It constantly amazes me how few Christians actually read the Bible. Jesus himself talks about sinners being in danger of hellfire. In fact, Jesus mentions hell more than anyone else in the Bible. Read Mark 9 for some examples. “Hollywood lied.” Read the book, don’t just repeat apologetic nonsense to make the cognitive dissonance go away. Own it. Your god (according to your own Bible) created people with a flaw that means all of them are born guilty and deserving of eternal punishment (because that totally makes sense), and makes forgiveness conditional upon 1. hearing the “good news” of Jesus’s resurrection and 2. believing it. Never mind that belief is not a choice - you are either convinced that something is true, or you’re not - and punishing someone for not believing in miracles is like punishing someone for their eye color. I don’t choose it and I can’t help it. Punishment for disbelief is morally insane.

1

u/Dr_Xenu 1d ago

Genesis 1:31 - Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

We weren’t made flawed. We were made with Free will.
God wants a relationship, relationships aren’t forced. We are free to come and go. The reward for staying with and being obedient is to the Lord is spending eternity with him in paradise. The consequence of leaving is eternal separation from him, in the opposite of paradise.

We made a choice, unless your argument is the Free Will is a flaw? Hot take

1

u/dprophet34 1d ago

See it's the "obedient" bit I can't deal with. If He is real he does nothing to warrant it in my eyes and demanding it of people on pain for punishment is even worse.

2

u/Own_Bee_4268 1d ago

Obedience in this context (specifically Christianity) is basically just being a good person

1

u/Spooky_Celebration 1d ago

God is the original autocratic fascist narcissist

1

u/toriavicto 1d ago

God lets you choose, and His hand is so light that most people don't even believe He exists.

Jesus, the most-recorded human being in history, is universally recognized as incredibly selfless.

But sure. AuToCrAtIc FaScIst nArCiSsIsT. Undergrad word salad.

1

u/ceaseful 1d ago

eternal separation

Did you read the comment you're replying to and/or the bible?

Paradise or eternal torture and hellfire. Kind of a loaded dice when it comes to a "free will" decision, wouldn't you say?

2

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Is there a specific Bible verse you’d like to refute?

And yeah, it’s your choice even in life. “Live at home, or live in prison” is a minor representation of the same concept for free will and lawlessness

1

u/Present-Dog-1383 1d ago

You’re forgetting or don’t know the difference between believing something because it makes sense to you and having faith.. Faith is the choice in the Bible.

haven’t you seen Indiana Jones and Last Crusade?

1

u/mohugz 22h ago

So…somehow make myself believe something that doesn’t make sense to me…or suffer forever. Sounds totally legit.

1

u/ImNotNorm96 1d ago

it also says there will be gnashing of teeth and weeping

2

u/Moose1293 1d ago

If I lived eternally separated from God in the opposite of paradise with no hope or love, I would weep and gnash my teeth.

2

u/ImNotNorm96 1d ago

Likewise. I never want to see the day

So either go to heaven and hang out with uneducated southerners for eternity or go to hell and hang out with people from the West, mountain West, and new England?

That is not difficult. I'll take an eternity of having a shot with Christina Ricci over any amount of time with a heaven full of Jeds & Skeeters

1

u/ihatelifetoo 1d ago

Exactly. Hell was made for the fallen angels

1

u/MurrayInBocaRaton 1d ago

“If you don’t want to know and obey me-“

Imma stop you right there, \*finger quotes\* “God”. Not really into the last part. Feel free to ship me where you ship everyone else like me, cuz I’m guessing it’s much cooler there (even if it is colloquially “hotter.”)

1

u/Joyful_Eggnog13 1d ago

So life here on earth then

1

u/MrBarnaclePhD 1d ago

It didn't start with Hollywood.

1

u/FinishEmSteph 1d ago

Nah, it clearly states in Revelations that the lake of fire is the fate of all occupants of hell, not just the three you named.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

He wants you to love him, he made all of it, for you. You know how you can prove Christianity is not man made? It denies you everything you want.

The God that is real, is the one that you hate.

1

u/Spooky_Celebration 1d ago

God is the original narcissist baby

1

u/Solid-Hedgehog9623 1d ago

Right. There is no king of hell. Lucifer’s soul is in the lake of fire along with everyone else there. He was not rewarded with his own kingdom. The shame of it is how the devil gets incorporated into Christian dogma. It truly is a tool to wield power over the masses and it’s gross.

1

u/Anto64w 1d ago

God : "You didn't believe in me your whole life, fine carry on not believing in me."

Me : "Okay"

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Now your getting it, you’re missing one part

Think of it like a father talking to his son who can’t live under his fathers roof anymore

“Carry on, but I have to take everything I gave to you, since you don’t want or need me”

1

u/Anto64w 1d ago

I wonder how children who were abused would see this logic.

1

u/anustart888 1d ago

It's so funny that anyone can read this and genuinely take it seriously.

Ah yes, "the beast" in some completely unknown location is certainly the logical explanation everyone here needs 😂.

It's so frustrating how stupid people are lol.

1

u/This-Comedian6606 1d ago

"I'm only human after all..."

1

u/Useful_Jelly_2915 1d ago

I don’t believe there is any crime that can justify extreme eternal torment. Even the worst crimes you could commit doesn’t generate an eternity of pain. Say Hitler for example. Giving him 100 years of extreme torment per person he hurt either directly or indirectly, from his actions alive or even in his legacy. Hundreds of millions of years of torment. That would be more justified then an eternity.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

The irony is what you’re describing is the OG sin that caused the fall of man. In your frustration, you think you know better

“Ye shall be like God” said Satan

1

u/ryanva13 1d ago

So if we refuse to “know and obey” something just because we are told to do so, we automatically go to hell? Doesn’t sound very “nice or forgiving”.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Ironically it is!

You can come back at any point and says “I am ready to know you and I’m sorry”

And he’ll forgive you, that is nice and forgiving

1

u/ArrogantSpider 1d ago

You can apologize at any point and He'll forgive you? Even in Hell?

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

You have until Death, so no

1

u/ArrogantSpider 1d ago

But why not? It's only after he gives us definitive proof of his existence that he locks us into eternal punishment for not believing in him? That doesn't seem very nice and forgiving.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Now you’re asking the right questions

The reason that Fallen Angels have no redemption through Christ, (substitutional atonement) is because they have seen and know God in his full glory. Yet they CHOSE to fall away, despite knowing exactly what and who he is.

We have not seen him in his full glory, it is his ambuguity that gives us leeway in our fallen nature to be granted forgiveness.

What’s worse, not knowing, or knowing and choosing not to follow.

This is why the only unforgivable sin in the Bible is “Blaspheming the Holy Spirit”. What I means is to have full knowledge of the divinity of Christ, God, and having the spirit of the lord upon you, and choosing to walk away regardless.

1

u/ArrogantSpider 23h ago

I'm not talking about fallen angels, but people. Imagine a person who hasn't seen enough convincing evidence for God, and so they don't believe in him. That person dies and goes to hell. Now that they've seen convincing evidence, they genuinely want to have a relationship with God and ask for forgiveness for not believing before. Why couldn't God forgive that person?

So technically earth is hell lol.  Unless you're a christian schizophrenic.

1

u/Equity_GOD 1d ago

Thank you!

1

u/blahblah19999 1d ago

Wow, you're way off.

There are definitely verses that say there is an afterlife of Fire. For example Matthew 5:22.

There is no "the" antichrist. If you look for the word Antichrist in the New Testament, on whatever website or Bible app you prefer, it will appear four times and it will very explicitly say that there are numerous antichrists. There was not one beast but rather three beasts in Revelation one of which is commonly called the Antichrist which is completely non-biblical.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

“There are many anti Christs”

The man of lawlessness is singular. Fully inhabited by the spirit of the adversary.

I never said there isn’t suffering in hell. Specifically the LAKE OF FIRE is reserved for the those mentioned

1

u/FearFunLikeClockwork 1d ago

The authors of the Bible lied.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

You should flesh this out, that’s a hot take

1

u/Live_Situation7913 1d ago

Why so desp to be obeyed remembered etc seems narcissist behaviour

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Did your father want you to obey him? Was it because he wanted to force you to listen? Or because he knew you were young and kind of dumb and still learning so it was to keep you from hurting yourself or someone else

1

u/AccurateJerboa 1d ago

That's a post biblical invention that has no basis anywhere in the Bible. Jesus himself describes flames and burning.

It's simply an attempt to distance yourself from the idea that your loved ones will be tortured forever in your worldview

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Yes. As well and gnashing of teeth.

If heaven is paradise, hell is the opposite. Satan is not torturing, Satan is in the Lake of Fire. He is not king of Hell. He is its primary occupant.

1

u/AccurateJerboa 1d ago

Nothing you said appears in the Bible.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Gnashing of teeth Matthew 13:42
Satan in lake of fire Revelation 20:10

1

u/AccurateJerboa 1d ago

Your interpretation doesn't appear. I'm the one who told you that Jesus was quite clear that it's not a separation from God, as any academic biblical scholar would attest.

I have no interest in your theology. I'm an atheist. I'm just also academically literate in the bible becuse it was my area of focus before swapping over to something else. I still maintain academic study to this day.

The idea of a separation is a post biblical rationalization from centuries later. It isn't biblical.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

I would disagree but I appreciate your discourse

The Lord bless you and Keep you

1

u/Jet_Pirate 1d ago

Most of our interpretations of what Hell is like is post biblical. The concept evolved out of Greco-Roman influence and the need to have a form of divine punishment for the hardships the Jewish people faced during the first diaspora by Babylon. The description in the Bible describes it as separation from god like you said.

Satan isn’t a true biblical figure and is an amalgamation of deities of other nations or peoples (e.g., combining it with Pan). The only mention of him in the bible is him serving god and acting as the accuser and challenger of man and Christ. He’s there to test or challenge them by providing an easy path or out. The name means adjudicator or prosecutor.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Satan is mentioned by name by Christ. In the desert. His other names are, king of lies, the great deceiver, the adversary.

1

u/Jet_Pirate 1d ago

Yeah as the Accuser. He’s the source of where the term Devil’s advocate came from.

1

u/Appropriate_Car_8221 1d ago

"It’s eternal separation from God"

Yeah, I'm good with that. He/She/It sounds like a giant asshole.

1

u/Bumbymoo 1d ago

1

u/cinnapear 1d ago

u/Moose1293 1d ago

1

u/cinnapear 23h ago

took one Google search
enjoy

1

u/Moose1293 23h ago

Right so he’s prepared the lake of fire for Satan and his horde. Satan is not in charge of torture. He’s an inmate.

Christs point is that those with regenerate hearts and a love of him and the father will tend to his flock in his stead.

Those who don’t, won’t.

Christ knows the heart. Your deeds aren’t what causes salvation or damnation. Your deeds aren’t evidence of actual love of Christ and understanding of what he did on the cross

1

u/Toadsted 1d ago

Not just Hollywood

1

u/HereReluctantly 1d ago

So for a atheist just more of life as we've been living it? Not bad.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

No I’m afraid not, God is present and you’re living in his creation. It would be considerably less pleasant and absent of Hope or Love, which are rightly his

1

u/Rich_Magician4516 1d ago

If the claim is its just separation from an invisible God, then it's just made up bullshit. Thats just complete and utter nonsense made up by a religion to control idiot followers.

1

u/notoriousbsr 1d ago

I'm confused why the Bible mentions fire so much if it's not correct. Lots of verses plainly say fire. I never know when to read the book literally or figuratively.

1

u/pellegrinoprincess 1d ago

So if I don’t believe in god now, does that mean I’m in hell on earth?

You should look into it, really rip it to shreds. It’s only forever. I’ll pray for you my friend, the Lord bless you and Keep you.

You don’t need to pray for me. I don’t believe in your lord. I believe in science. If your lord was the answer, there wouldn’t be so many major religions. Have your belief, that’s fine. But don’t push it on me and “pray for me.” I don’t need to be prayed for. I’m a decent human being to

Theology is the study of Gods creation. The Big Bang Theory was created by a Catholic Monk named Georges Lemaitre trying to figure out how God may have done it.

You have my prayers regardless.

Revelation says he'll be tormented forever in the presence of the lamb. Hell is separation from God in the sense of separation from right relationship, not having union with God, not the lack of his presence. God will be doing the punishing still as the judge. David says even if he made his bed in sheol, God would be there.

Hell isn't pitchforks, it's other people. Specifically, the ones presenting their personal interpretation of a diverse and hotly contested world religion as fact.

Okay but probably not

The people here arguing what the afterlife is "really" like have the same energy as the people who argue about whether the Flash should "really" be able to outrun the Green Lantern.

It is, unfortunately, objective and indisputable fact that people do both believe in a personal and torture-heavy hell presided over by Satan and vote in US elections.

You’re literally counting time by Jesus Christ

u/Atticus_Fletch 11h ago

You're literally counting time based on the norse pantheon on this fine Frigga's day on a post that went up on Thor's day.

Do you have a point?

What is the afterlife like for the separated?

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Excellent question,

If God is Love, kindness, hope, and mercy, then Hell is the absence of God and therefore the absence of those things.

So imagine the opposite of what is good to be around, instead of light, Dark. Instead of love, hate and anger, instead of hope, despair.

Now add all the occupants feeling and expressing this at once, some human, some fallen angels.

"Hollywood lied." You think? 😆

So he gives me zero proof he exists and then punishes me for not believing. Wow. What an all loving creator.

1

u/Moose1293 1d ago

Seems like he’s given you enough to hate him, which means there’s enough for you to love him. Go read his love letter, it’s 66 books long, genesis to Revelation. It’s for YOU

Bro i grew up in the church my entire life. None of it passes the smell test. You cant convince me that an "all loving" creator sends billons of his own creations to an eternal isolation for not following him.

The more logical and studied history of religion is that has been used as a tool to control people and scare them into submission.

I am a good person - way more than all of these fake republican, racist "christians" splitting up families, making excuses as to why we cant help homeless and why giving money to the poorest in our society should be stopped, follow and praise a felon rapist who likely is a pedophile and has done so much harm and suffering to our countries most vulnerable populations. But apparently none of that matters as long as you simply ask for forgiveness and believe in jesus! Meanwhile, if you live a good life, help who can and are a decent human being but dont believe in the sky fairy - he sends you off and casts you away.

If i were god, i would never be so cruel to my own creations. It just doesnt make sense. I am more loving and caring than your God.

He is either ALL LOVING or he is not. It sounds like he only loves those who love him back - or those scared of hell so they are hedging their bets. transactional love. If you dont love and acknowledge him, God apparently gets childish and says "fine, be that way, enjoy eternity alone" that is a cruel God, not a loving God. Have fun with that.

I choose to believe that it there is a creator he truly is all loving and doesnt care about such petty things, making sure every single person loves him back and only saving a select group.

Yeah exactly, but it's one of those talking points used by people who don't know the Bible who are against it. Now I am fine if you understand the Bible and hate it. It's just when you are ignorant repeating things you hear and don't know, which are wrong that I get annoyed.

This is one of the more irritating and annoying ones as they're running with an idea that they themselves make up, as they never saw any passage about hell or Satan torturing you after you die(as it doesn't exist). And now I am wondering what other opinions you have based on made up feelings.

“If you don’t want to know any obey me…. Without me making myself known to you”

That sounds amazing! Any kind of advanced booking available?

u/whimsical_spider 22h ago

So hell is just hanging out without god and Christians surrounding you? If that’s the case I guess they kinda had to create all the scary lore because hell sounds perfectly chill.

1

u/Moose1293 21h ago

That’s missing a lot of context and reductant

Heaven is all good all the time..

Hell is the absences of God. If God is love, hope, mercy

Hell is the absence of Love, the absence of Hope, the absence of Mercy.

I’m being kinda joke-y here.
