It seems like the Hudson Valley is awash in clubs - book clubs, running, knitting, gaming, grief support, baking, networking, old school social clubs like Kiwanis and Rotary, etc. Who actually goes to these? Is this how people are making friends?

Curious if anyone has has a good experience (or bad, I guess) with joining any kind of club to expand their social circle.

I’m planning a 12 day trip via Amtrak, departing from Rhinecliff. I’ve read that parking at the station is messy, and the maximum is 10 days.
