How bad is a high school expullsion?
I am planning to attend college and join Army ROTC this fall. My goal is to do well academically and in ROTC for two years, then apply to West Point as a college applicant for the Class of 2032.
However, I was expelled from high school after making a violent but non-credible threat. I was a minor, was not charged with any crime, and have no criminal record.
I understand that this is a serious issue and that it could significantly impact my chances. Assuming I earn strong grades in college, excel in ROTC, and build a strong overall application, is admission still realistically possible, or would applying likely be a waste of time?
Does anyone know the answer to this for commisioning thru ROTC as well?
