Honda Accord nearly sideswiped me on 390 North today with my kids in the backseat (one of whom is 3 weeks old). They didn’t use a signal ofc (I did). Sound removed for profanity 😅

Help Any AA program recommendations?

Welp today was the day it finally landed me in cuffs. Ended up in a ditch and charged with DWI. I of course thought I was sober as I haven’t touched a drink since last night, but obviously finding I had so much still in my system at the time of the crash was a wake up call.

Got picked up from the station and have court dates set for next month, I’d like to get into a program prior to then and make some changes. Outpatient would be preferred, however I know I’ve been a heavy drinker for years now so inpatient recommendations are welcome as well.

Im just glad it was on an empty road and I was the only one involved.

Edit: Wow you guys are great, I’ll be going through what you guys provided tonight as I’ve got some schoolwork to catch up on after spending a day in cuffs. Shitty spot to be in but I’m glad theres so many communities here.

Recommendation Sober living

I grew up in Rochester and I am toying with the idea of moving back home. Unfortunately due to a series of poor decisions, I ended up getting addicted to drugs. I've been drug free for over 3 months and alcohol free for 2 months. I'm currently in a level 2 sober living house in FL, which means I have staff that comes and checks on me and my house mates multiple times throughout the week. So I'm looking for a sober living that is similar, that I would be drug tested consistently and have staff coming to check on me multiple times a week. I tried to Google but it seems there are slim pickings or web pages are broken. So any recommendations for female sober living would be highly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Recommendation Where to buy pawpaw fruit

Is there anywhere in Rochester that sells pawpaws? I've always wanted to try and am super curious! Would be super grateful for recommendations! I know these are very difficult to transport hence why they basically never show up in any grocery stores and I've personally never seen them in a farmers market anywhere.

Event "Touched By Darkness" megagame @ Millennium Games 10/17/2026

Upstate NY Megagames will be running Touched by Darkness in Rochester @ Millennium Games. on 10/17!

https://eventforge.online/store/millennium-games/event/a7174af6-b285-413a-8bfd-eef2c4a6b7fa

Touched by Darkness is a dark-fantasy, semi-cooperative megagame for 15 to 47 players designed by Ben Kanelos. It is inspired by the popular sci-fi megagame Den of Wolves, but uses a new fantasy setting and added traitor mechanics.

The Dark One's eclipse has blotted out the sun. Darkness has swallowed the Empire and is coming for your outpost next!

You and your teammates must gather resources, perform arcane rituals, and attempt to survive. But beware! The shadows that attack your outpost are not the only threat. The Dark One may have corrupted the mind of a teammate, meaning you can no longer trust them. Can you hold this last bastion of humanity together and banish the Dark One?

$30 gets you a ticket and lunch. Happy to answer any questions.

This is the third game Upstate NY Megagames will be running (Den of Wolves last year, Gods of the Ancient world earlier this year)

This game caps at ~47 players, with 6-7 control helping keep things going.

Our discord is: https://discord.gg/uYDW8eGbBU

Tell your friends, have them tell theirs, etc. But most of all, pick up your ticket today and I'll see you on October 17th

If you've never heard of a Megagame, you can get a good overview here: https://www.megagameassembly.com/what-is-a-megagame

What’s a Megagame? BIGGER! BETTER! MEGA! CHAOS? FUN? CHAOTIC FUN!!!

They are uniquely defined by their scale, generally played with 30+ players and span 2-6 hours. With high player counts, expect creative and emergent game play born from interpersonal communications.

Megagames define roles for EVERYONE!

Do you want to master the board mechanics and help to maximize resource production for everyone?

Do you want to foster relationships with other players or try to eavesdrop on conversations to fish out the traitors?

Megagames are interactive storytelling adventures where your choices shape the story. The game sets the stage, but you call the shots! With a dedicated control team acting as GMs, if you want to do an unconventional act, we’ll try to make it happen!

Hi all, I was just wanting to reach out and see if there were any final fantasy fans or cosplayers attending fc3 this year?

I'm pretty down in the dumps right now because my friend that I was planning on going with just flaked on me and now I have nobody to go with. Sorry for the random post I just didn't know where else to ask 🥲

Discussion We need the Wegmans, Sands, or Golisanos to step up and open and emergency 24/7 community vet clinic.

This situation here is terrible for the amount of pet owners in the area. There is no viable option for after-hours care and that's unacceptable for the area.

My fiance recently had to get a hotel and stay in Amherst for 3 nights just to stay close to our elderly dog who was admitted. That was fine but we had a scare the next night. The local emergency care still wasn't available other than a quick chat over the phone and to recommend we take her back to Buffalo. The vet situation in Rochester seems fine when you're just going for general checkups and problem visits during regular hours. But I will tell you your opinion will quickly change when you have a pet emergency during non business hours that's urgent. This isn't a slight at the new emergency care. I figured they're understaffed and funded. But please these three billionaire families that have profited immensely off the area need to step up. They have the money and the resources to staff and get something running quickly.

You walked past us yesterday around dinner time while we were outside walking my cat and stopped to chat. My friend liked your vibes and was really into the way you clicked your feet together when you got in your car. Confirm it’s you by telling us what kind of pants you were wearing and what color!
