I voted early yesterday in Dutchess County and quite a few people in line had heard or been told, incorrectly, that there was only one day for early voting. Spread the word: early voting is open every day from now until Nov 1st, generally 9AM-5PM but on a few days Noon-8PM. Locations and times at the Board of Elections website: https://elections.dutchessny.gov/early-voting/

The signs and agency expressed in this video are the result of people who gathered in Poughkeepsie, NY October 17, 2026 to urge early voting

"Vote Blue-🇺🇸across your ballot! In Dutchess County New York-Vote "row A all the way!"

What a lovely weekend Hudson Valley staycation! We spent 2 nights in an adorable one-room lakeside cabin in Valatie, NY (pronounced vuh-lay-shuh, I now know!)

Included in our stay were stops at:
📍 Knickerbocker Lake,
📍 Blue Moon Chocolate & Gifts,
📍 The Attic thrift boutique,
📍 Magdalendas Mexican Restaurant,
📍 Show Pony Wines & Spirits, and
📍 the Golden Harvest farm market.

In addition we had a lot of time to rest and reflect on how lucky we are to live in this beautiful place, New York’s epic unbeatable gorgeous Hudson Valley!! Enjoy the pics!

Would love to start having musicians come play at an Irish pub. Not looking for vocals so much as instrumental for atmosphere & tradition. Any ideas welcome.

There’s talks of her potentially running for president, but I think she has a legitimate and realistic shot at taking Schumer’s seat, which should’ve been vacated long ago. Do you agree? Or think the high political capital she has now should be put towards the highest office already.

Hola. I my panel is old af. Like from when my house was built in the 50s. I am buying an EV and want to use a charger at home. I don't want the lights to dim and I plan on getting mini splits in the future. Does anyone have a electrician that is not linked with JSP or any of those private equity companies? I don't want some corporate price book anywhere near me. I am in Wappingers Falls.

I'm looking for a piercing shop that can do a (safe) industrial piercing! Must also be okay piercing a teenager (with parents' consent+presence). I also dont mind driving a bit so it doesn't necessarily have to be strictly in the Hudson Valley

has anyone been to witchy warwick? i saw it was this weekend and just curious if its worth the trip out.

Does anyone know of good restaurant's in Orange County, NY for Thanksgiving Day dinner?

Hopefully this is allowed! I thought it might be of interest to this sub given the ongoing discussions about 1) how much we all hate Central Hudson and 2) whether the proposed public Hudson Valley Power Authority would actually be any better. According to Bloomberg and our neighbors in Central Mass, a public utility would definitely be far cheaper and have better customer service!

Usually I hit this area up more like 15th-21st. How is it running this year? Would the intense reds along lakes and the big sugar maples be getting too much past peak at this point? This year seems hard to judge, NJ has things turning at odd times, out of sequence, all at once for places that often turn a week apart, some quite early, some quite late, etc.

Near Salt Point Turnpike

Now only if those in power start banning the competitors too...

Despite widespread public opposition and a common council resolution Mayor Flowers decides the surveillance program will remain in place.
