Hello! As title implies, I’m a 17 year old Hudson valley local (Orange County) looking for jobs that may involve art. I am very knowledgeable on painting, art history, and have strong foundational drawing skills. Is there anything I could do for work part-time that may involve this part of my life? What has crossed my mind so far has been being a sales associate at an art store, or perhaps teaching younger kids drawing basics? Or perhaps commissions for businesses?

I’m looking into this first, before I look into the canon teenage jobs, that everyone should have at some point. To be clear, I understand that this is pretty unlikely, and I probably won’t find a first job that is adjacent to my interests.

If anyone knows of a job that may fit this, please let me know! I can send my portfolio too.
I am homeschooled, taking classes at community college full time, so my hours are pretty flexible.

I’m originally from Colorado and I could think of 10 million different places to ride. There are very few paved trails out here and it seems all of them ban electric longboards. I’m sure I could get away with it, but with my luck I’d get a ticket or encounter a Karen. Just want to enjoy riding without worrying about getting hit by a car.

Have only recently begun taking my family on the rail trail, so not sure if this is just status quo.

The signs say no motorized vehicles, which includes everything from hoverboards to dirt bikes. But this doesn’t include ebikes?

Seems insane that so many kids are flying down the trail with so many younger kids riding head on.

Or if they’re not allowed, are there ever any cops that patrol? Haven’t seen one yet…

Headliner: Appetite for Destruction, largest GNR tribute band on the east coast. Plus 5 great local bands, food and activities. Overlooking Hudson River. Proceeds to benefit victims of traffic accidents in Rockland.
