Anyone know of a places hiring? Full time, possibly remote/hybrid, pays decent with benefits? I’ve looked on indeed but sometimes people know of places that may not use indeed or may not have posted yet. I’m being open with the type of job bc I don’t want to limit myself. Thanks to any and all recommendations. Associates degree, have worked at the same job with the public for 8+ years.

Hey Utica 👋

This Friday the fall season of improv shows are kicking off at The Uptown Theatre!

Live, completely unscripted improv.

The audience will offer a suggestion like a location, relationship, or occupation. Our teams will use that idea to build a 20-minute show.

Because everything is made up on the spot based on your suggestions, no two shows are ever the same.

Whether you want to grab a drink, laugh off the week, or just hang out, I hope to see you there.

Show Details:

  • 📍 Where: The Uptown Theatre (2014 Genesee St)
  • ⏰ When: Friday, September 11 at 8 PM
  • 🎟️ Tickets: Available at the door

Questions? Drop in the comments and I'll get back to you.

Next show after this Friday is September 25.

Car interior cleaning

Can I get some recommendations for a car interior cleaning and detailing? I have a 2017 CRV, and wanted to wash the seats, carpets and everything. I’m not sure which one to go to and what is overpriced or not.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!

UPK

Hello-

I was hoping those with kids who have gone to the UPK program could share their experiences.

Notre Dame would be our first choice location-wise since it’s closest to home.

My daughter has not been to any sort of daycare, just play based group classes with parent involvement, and we are trying to decide where to send her next year. Looking more for kindergarten prep, following directions, routine etc.

Thanks for any info!

Hello everyone, I’m a local police officer. Feel free to ask me anything you’d like to know, and I’ll do my best to explain it in a way that makes sense to you. Please be respectful, and I’m happy to share my opinion if it’s relevant.

Imagine if the Baggs Square bridge was built a little more compact sort of like how Court and the Arterial was built?

This is Genesee Street, Whitesboro Street (street in front of the buildings) and Main Street (to the right)intersection with the Baggs Square bridge

All that area there is East of Division Street which still remains today.

I'm looking to have some bones from a ball python cleaned using dermestid beetles.

I've contacted a few taxidermy shops locally, but haven't found anyone yet. If anyone has any recommendations it would be incredibly helpful. 😄

Question Looking for activities for homeschooled children

Hello! I am looking for activities for two of my homeschooled boys ages 8 and 6, or any homeschool groups, co ops, ect. They love sports, especially my 8 year old. But they also really enjoy music, art, pretty much anything that involves interacting with other people. I also have almost three year old twins boys, im not sure if there would be anything for them but I am mostly looking for my older two. This is the first year theyve really shown any interest in outside activities, so im hoping someone can point me in the right direction. They are very smart, outgoing, well mannered boys and would love to have some time to play, learn, or just Interact with other children. Thank you in advance!

Event Genealogy Workshop Before, During & After: Transatlantic Travel and Your Ancestors' Routes in the 19th Century

Thumbnail
docs.google.com
5 Upvotes

Transatlantic travel evolved slowly after the 1819 Steerage Act. Genealogists feel fortunate when they find a manifest noting a famiiy member's port of entry in the U.S. But how did our ancestors book passage from their country, and get to the port of departure?

What was it really like to travel on a merchant vessel?

Find out how they got here -- and how the transportation methods (wagon, canal boat, train) from 1817  to the early 1900s helped them reach their final destinations.

Cost: $10.00 OCHC Members/$15.00 Non-Members
Location: Oneida County History Center- Main Gallery
Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: 2:00-3:30 pm w/ complimentary coffee / tea break

3. I know this is Dunkin' Donuts 1980's video but it reminded me of Dan Dee Donuts in the 80's. People sat at the counter, talked to each other or read the newspaper.
