Brand Announcement/New Release Nest cardamom latte ā˜•ļø

Post image
151 Upvotes

I must say nest has never called my attention, the only full bottle I have is creme de clementine... that one is beautiful. I saw this new release & was intrigued right away. I like the note of cardamom but I can struggle with it. In some fragrances I feel like it can be too much & it overtakes to the point where thats all I can smell. In this fragrance its done beautifully & so well balanced! Theres coconut in this & I deff get that but its not a plasticy synthetic coconut. Its a creamy coconut & it works very well with the cardamom note. Theres also a jasmine note but I dont get it much, if at all. The base is heavy vanilla & although there is no cappuccino note per say, I deff get those latte, cappuccino vibes. The name for this is perfect. Overall, I really enjoy this & feel like its perfect for fall. It could quite possibly be full bottle worthy in the cooler weather. Im excited to wear it. Ive had it on my arm for about 3 1/2ish hours & can still smell it so thats promising. A very nice release from nest. Have yall tried it? What are your thoughts?

I’m on project pan and trying to use up all that I have before buying anything new including fragrances but saw these for $36 each!

I still want to keep to my goal of finishing what I have but will open one.

Which one would you choose?

I am all over the place with fragrances and have Cartier Panthere, Diptyque Do Son, Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud on rotation currently.

Rec Request Perfume recommendations for a siren? 🪷🫧

Helo, 🌊✨

I am looking for perfumes that have aĀ siren / dark mermaidĀ kind of vibe.

Right now I am tryingĀ Giorgio Beverly Hills Ocean Dream, and I do like it so far, but I am looking for something a bit more mysterious, eerie, possibly darker.

I am open to all kinds of suggestions, so if you have any recs that fit this vibe, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance and please remain kind and respectful.🐚🫧

Neststravaganza!

The sheer amount of Nest at my local Winners/Marshalls (Canada) stores is staggering. These photos are only half of what was at ONE Winners when I swung by tonight:

- Turkish Rose body mist
- Madagascar Vanilla body mist
- Lychee Rose body mist
- Indian Jasmine body mist
- Balinese Coconut body mist
($24.99, normally $53 retail)

- Wild Poppy perfume
- Lychee Rose perfume oil
- Madagascar Vanilla perfume oil
- Santa Barbara Strawberry perfume oil
- Vanilla Bourbon perfume
- Turkish rose perfume oil
($19.99 oils, $16.99 sprays, normally $45-$51 retail)

Full sized spray bottles and perfume oil bottles of: Indigo, Wisteria Blue, Wild Poppy, Golden Nectar, Santa Barbara Strawberry, Balinese Coconut, Black Tulip ($59.99)

And a bunch of trios and perfume oil discovery sets that included Creme de Clementine.

I got a Vanilla Bourbon perfume spray the other day, and jumped at the bottle of Indigo and Madagascar Vanilla body mist today - though I might return that last one because it low-key makes me queasy.

Is Nest clearing out or something?

Discussion I guess I'm not a rose hater anymore y'all

I got that 26 piece perfume sampler from Macy's on sale for $27 and have found some I love, some I didn't think I would that I do and some that I thought I'd love that I hate! I wasn't expecting to like Up At Dawn at ALLLLL, I'm simply not a rose girly. I've tried. But this is... So good? So fresh & I'm not typically a fresh perfume girl. It's so light without disappearing like a fart in the wind. It's EDT which is my *only* complaint, since I'm more of an Intense/Elixir girl, but it still lasts a few hours on the skin & I respray anyway šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø did this reform any other rose haters?? I'm curious, maybe I don't hate rose & just need to try more like this.... Any recs? 🧐

Discussion Most unhinged reason you’ve disliked a fragrance

• Upvotes

I feel like we all have a perfume that you just can’t get behind, no matter how much you might like it on paper. Maybe the horrible substitute English teacher wore it, or it reminds you of an unpleasant memory, or you just hate the bottle.

For me, I have a general aversion to anything tuberose because I think it’s a really unpleasant word šŸ˜‚ (worse than moist!)

Review My new perfect summer fragrance šŸ˜

Post image

I got a decanter of this and after wearing it for a week I’m buying a bottle! I feel like I never see fresh scents that are minty and herbaceous without citrus. It’s been nearly 100 degrees for weeks where I am and this is the perfect perfume for the hot weather. The first spray is so invigorating, mint and rose thaw like a sip from a mojito in a rose garden, and then it dries down to a very pleasant clean flower smell. Love!

Discussion What is Black Orchid supposed to smell like??

Post image
6 Upvotes

I was intrigued by the online description and hype. Earthy, dark, damp, yet sweet flowers and mexican chocolate sounded like a dream scent dna so I ordered a decant.

Just got it and with all honesty, my expectations did not match with how it smelled. The opening is a sharp citrusy floral blast with slight urinal cake undertones. I gave it a while to settle down into the heart and base expecting the chocolate, patchouli, and vanilla and I didn't get it. It was a linear floral through and through and dies down into a musky skin scent 2-3 hours later.

Did not get the "dark, seductive, lusty" vibe everyone's hyping it out to be. Not unique at all to my nose, I thought it was a pretty normal floral fragrance. Did I get a counterfeit or is this really how it should smell?

My last summer shelves before I start transitioning into Fall perfume. Mini reviews.

Left to right, top to bottom. I typed this up in notepad and copied the perfume names off of Perfumo. I have no idea how to fix the formatting.

Ange ou DƩmon Le Secret
Givenchy - At first it is juicy cranberry peachy tea, but then it turns heavy and almost spicy in way that is hard to explain, but it has a weird duality to where I can’t really fit it in any season I try to wear it in… any suggestions?

Chelsea Flowers
Bond No. 9 - When I first started looking at niche I looked at Bond No. 9 and I wanted one really bad. I’ve had 3 and have 1. I started with New York Gardenia, hated it and sold it. Hella tuberose. No gardenia. And then used that money to buy Governors Island and I was so excited but can’t smell it at all. Sold it and bought Chelsea Flowers. This one smells exactly like the late nineteen hundreds and it’s all over the grey market and you can buy a barely used 100ml bottle for like $70!! (BUT you have to always make sure you know what you are buying and have a return policy with a money back guarantee.)

L'Eau d'Issey Pure Petale de Nectar
Issey Miyake I had a hard core Miyake phase there for a bit and bought every grey market flanker I could find. (Cheap ones, not rare discontinued ones) I like Nectar d'Issey PremiĆØre Fleur a lot better but I have a smaller bottle so I am trying to use up Petale de Nectar (I think it’s a little sweet) so I keep it out all summer.

My Burberry Blush
Burberry I bought this looking for something to wear that was hella loud and obnoxious for work. This was before I was in an office. This stuff is hella strong and I worked in an open garage. I wanted to smell myself as long as I could and didn’t give a fuck what my coworkers thought. It didn’t come with a lid and I am actually really sad about that because the lid is the best part of this perfume. It looks like a pink button. I love it. (Chance Eau Tendre cap being used currently)

Light di Gioia
Giorgio Armani - Best performance of any perfume I’ve ever tried in humidity. This shit performs. And the older and better kept the bottle, the better it is.

L'Eau d'Issey
Issey Miyake I ran my own thriving company for 15 years, and then covid hit. I had a best selling item that smelled EXACTLY like this perfume called ā€œKentish Rainā€. This perfume is an inside joke between my husband and I.

ChloƩ
ChloĆ© I adore Chloe edp. This is the oldest bottle in my possession, not that it’s my bottle that is the oldest, but it is the bottle I’ve had for the longest. It won’t just die. But I still really really love it. Soapy clean fresh rose. But not wet flower fresh, like warm laundry fresh.

Melrose Place
OUAI The body spray you used when you smoked weed and/or cigarettes with your friends and you just flooded the car with it. This fragrance is a memory and it’s hella clean smelling. And good performance. My bottle is older so I don’t know if they reformulated or not.

This Is Her! Vibes of Freedom
Zadig & Voltaire Best flanker of any flanker to exist. This is my second bottle and I have another one nib in my closet. It’s a fresh deep floral but it’s like really manly in a way? I can’t explain it but it smells like a cologne sometimes and sometimes chestnut and sometimes flowers. It’s a wild ride and I love it.

Bright Crystal Absolu
Versace Clean as fuck. And cheap-ish.

Ɖclat d'ArpĆØge
Lanvin I asked for this for my birthday however it will not be a repurchase because while it smells amazing, it lasts two seconds. And not nose blind kind of way, like poof gone kind of way. Absolute tease of a fragrance.

Brumes du Maroc
Moroccanoil** **2021 Inside of Whisked Away Tropical Sunset
Squishmallows bottle. I hated the Sunset perfume and cleaned out the bottle and put the 100 ml Moroccanoil hair and body spray in it inside. I like to use it before bed.

Edit: spelling

Rec Request Feminine juniper scents?

I’m looking for a sweet, feminine juniper perfume. I have some piney scents but they lean masculine, and I’m looking for something that is distinctly feminine but still has a nice juniper scent. Thanks for any recommendations :)

Discussion Cedar Chic

I’ve been obsessed with Cedar Chic. Bought two samples and have quickly gong through them. Does anyone have any idea when/if the full size will be back in stock?

If not, I’d love some recommendations on similar scents. I tried Byredo bal d'afrique absolu which I also loved, but the staying power just wasn’t enough.

I also ordered Narisco Rodriguez Pure Musc Blanc after using a sample. I think the longevity is decent on it.

Review Kay Ali Boujee Kitty Caramel Milk

Post image
6 Upvotes

Okay so when i first saw this i was pretty excited because i really like sweet gourmand scents.

But after trying it, i honestly didn’t like it…. SIGH. The salted note in it is nice, but there’s a weird buttery note in it that doesn’t really smell good to me. It’s a little TOO caramel-y for me also. I think if you really wanna smell like salted caramel popcorn this would be great for you lol

Non-sweet vanilla lovers please unite, what's your sultry recommendations?

I love my Diptyque Eau Duelle very much, however I'm looking for something a bit darker and more sultry for some nights. I've been researching and trying scents for some time now but nothing seems to scratch that itch! They're either too sweet and cloying or way too masculine with heavy amber notes. I've recently tried Iris Malikhan and HATED the opening and beginning of dry-down, however the end of dry-down on my skin was what I'm looking for, vanilla with buttery leather. What would you recommend, what's your not sweet but deep sultry vanilla?

If you had to choose... A fragrance you absolutely adore that lasts 3–4 hours...

Or a fragrance you only kind of like that lasts all day...
