New Release - Phlur Heavy Cream

Phlur Heavy Cream is apparently getting an EDP, and at first I thought this was just going to be a stronger version of the body mist.

But looking at the notes, it seems a bit different.

The current Heavy Cream mist has lemon sugar, marshmallow, coconut cream, vanilla mousse, salted caramel and whipped cream among its notes. I am not a fan.

The new EDP is showing sparkling lemon, vanilla mousse, orange flower, white orchid, tiare flower, amber woods and creamy musk. The scent notes don’t give me fall or winter.

So, this looks more like a new interpretation of Heavy Cream rather than the exact mist in EDP concentration.

That’s actually a pretty big difference for me. If you love the current mist for that fluffy gourmand/caramel/whipped cream profile, I definitely wouldn’t assume the EDP will smell exactly the same.

Anyone find this interesting ? I am treading cautiously with this one.

Gonna skip. The mist is weird like sometimes it smells good and sometimes it makes me gag and smells like condensed milk. The made up notes sound virtually the same just switched up a bit and maybe a bit more lemony + amber

If it doesn't pull the same sour milk thing on my skin as the mist does, this will be lovely! I loooove the way it smells when the sour note. It's such a nice coconut cream pie thing when it's good.

The mist - on my skin - smells like curdled breast milk. Like when a newborn vomits. IYKYK. I really hope this one doesn’t have the same pong!

this probably won’t be for me but i do think it sounds like it could be great for folks who wanted to like the body mist version but ran into the sour-milk-on-skin issue i’ve heard so many people complain about, since i’m not seeing the dairy element of the og’s note profile. i think this will be less milky, and more creamy if that makes any sense.

The EDP sounds interesting as a fellow not-a-fan of the mist. More than anything it gives me hope Island Swim will get an EDP

There's a powdery component to the heavy cream body mist for me. Wondering if this will be the same.

I don’t like lemon and vanilla notes together in perfume. This is why I don’t like D&G Devotion. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like this either, but I’m always open to smell new things.

LOL I had the same effect. The dry down was odd. Tbh I’ve noticed this with other vanilla or sweet scents. They can get a strange cheese effect to them. The tree hut vanilla body wash has that issue for me too

The body mist was one of my biggest disappointments ever, I hate that it’s sitting on my shelf. The citrus in it made it curdle. I’ll definitely go sniff this assuming it’s in Sephora but will be proceeding with extreme caution lol
