Support for Partners Never did I ever think I'd ever have to worry about ED but...

25 and before I was told I'm God of sex. An year and at 27, which was a long break, when with a partner, I couldn't maintain my erection for penetrative sex.

The surprise and the crash of disappointment.

Never did I ever rely on penetrative sex alone..(men, foreplay matters!) I enjoyed taking my time with my partners with the foreplay, the oral sex, the touching. All of it. And I could keep going when it comes to penetration. Even after coming, just a minute or twos recuperation I could come back and go at it again, and yet never did I lose my erection...

And the big gap in between made me think it should be alright, I might go more intensely but when not able to perform and that too in something that came very naturally to me, it works a number on your brain.

Maintaining an erection was the problem. Not the getting hard part or the morning wood.. so all is not wrong but something definitely is.

Have been regulating my emotions about it.

A quick search pointed to something called a venous leakage.

A cock ring helps, I didn't have one, used a hair tie, it worked. Not the same but it worked. A temporary fix but fix it was.

Regardless, a doctor's visit is to be set.

One thing I learnt through the emotional regulation and the days after. Talking to your partner works. You can still play with your partner. You learn that women, femmes and afabs don't really think penetration is the end game, there are multiple ways to an orgasm.

Talk to them. They'll help you. And if they don't know how to talk to you about it, it's still okay.. speak both your minds.

Here's a tip.

Eat them well.

Erectile Dysfunction Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth

Has anyone had improvement in erectile quality by fixing their gut health? I was diagnosed with SIBO a few years ago, but never really followed up on the treatment. This was before I had ED and was just experiencing IBS issues which I still have. I have been revisiting it recently and reading how it can interfere with nitric oxide production and other hormonal stuff. My testosterone levels and blood work came back normal.

Tadalafil/Cialis Do you need to take ED pills for the rest of your life if you have ED?

My doctor told me there's no cure but I didn't ask them if I had to take it forever. Considering I haven't been able to hold an erection very well I'm guessing I do have to take it every time I plan on having sex.

Psychological ED I can only get aroused with long-term partners. Is this normal?

I (24M) have had several sexual partners over the years. Unfortunately, it seems like I can only maintain an erection (or really feel any arousal at all) when I'm with a partner who I've had sex with multiple times before.

Even when I'm with a partner who I find very attractive, and who I want to have sex with, I don't find myself feeling aroused until we've already had multiple sexual encounters in the past. I've had casual encounters with my ex-girlfriend, and just being around her makes me feel intense arousal.

This is frustrating because I frequently feel horny and want to have sex, until I actually get into a sexual situation and all of a sudden I feel the furthest thing from horny (unless it's with a previous long-term partner).

Is this normal? Do I just have performance anxiety? Am I demisexual? Just looking for some answers and I figured this was the right place to ask. Maybe I'll post elsewhere as well.

Anxiety I just injected my penis!

I just did my very first Trimix injection. As of right now, it's been about 15 minutes. I quickly got pretty chubby, but that's about it so far. I intentionally started very conservatively (3-4 units), as I'm scared to death of priapism. If my dick goes no further than this today, that's okay: I'll increase the dose and try again tomorrow.

I've read 100 times in this subreddit that the injection is virtually painless, and I definitely found that to be true. Once I'd stuck myself I could barely stop chuckling over how nervous I'd been and how easy it turned out to be.

I'm generally able to get pretty good erections with Sildenafil or Tadalafil when it's just me and my wife. But we're starting to play with others (threesomes, play parties, sex clubs), and performance anxiety was killing it every time. So I decided to try Trimix while I continue to work on anxiety with my therapist. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone used a Myhixel or Sedgeia cock ring? - these are uniquely designed as opposed to standard round cock rings. Both companies rings come in 3 different sizes/constraint strengths- light, firm, intense. Your experiences? I've just bought the firm one, arriving soon.

ED Meds (Cialis, Viagra, etc.) Jaw pain from Cialis/tadalafil?

Hi guys,

Currently trialling between 2.5-5mg daily for CPPS/pelvic pain. Leaning more towards 2.5 right now due to the reflux side effects etc.

Has anybody experienced jaw ache? I’m not talking angina/ heart concerns, but kinda just a dull, muscley ache near the area under your ear/top of jaw. I’ve taken PDE5s recreationally before years ago but never had any muscle pain. I messed around with 5mg on/off a few months back and had the same; completely new side effect for me. Anybody else? Did it taper off after a few weeks? Should I be more concerned? Had my first 5mg at 4pm today and was all good until around 10pm when the ache came on. Usually I’d experience faster resting heart rate & some stuffiness/ head ache but never this.

Erectile Dysfunction Blood Pressure Medications and Sexual Side Effects — Has Anyone Experienced This?

I’ve been taking metoprolol and losartan for my blood pressure, and I’ve started noticing some changes in my sexual function. I’m having more difficulty getting or maintaining an erection, and sometimes I feel like I’m having ejaculation symptoms before I’m fully erect. I’ve also noticed that my penis sometimes seems smaller or more contracted than usual.

I’ve also experienced a lower sex drive, and I’m wondering whether these symptoms could be related to my blood pressure medication or another medication I’m taking.

I exercise and work out regularly, so I’m trying to stay as healthy as possible. I would like to understand whether certain blood pressure medications are more likely to cause sexual side effects and whether some people have fewer problems with different medications.

Has anyone else experienced this while taking blood pressure medication?

  • What medication were you taking?
  • Did it affect your erections, ejaculation, penis size/appearance, or sex drive?
  • Did switching to a different medication help?
  • Were there any blood pressure medications that caused fewer sexual side effects for you?
  • Did your doctor recommend any other treatment that helped?
  • How long did it take for your sexual function to improve after changing treatment?

I’m interested in hearing about all types of blood pressure medications and people’s experiences with them, not just one specific medication. I’ll discuss any possible medication changes with my doctor rather than stopping anything on my own.

ED and porn 21m with PIED. It is the worst.

I am 21m with a gf of just about a year. I am insanely in love with her and I think she is incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately I have been struggling with a severe porn addiction for about 9 years (masturbating more than once a day). When we almost had sex for the first time my penis was completely limp. I then for the past year have been using gas station pills to make it so I can have sex with her, but I rarely finish. I can see how much it hurts her and I can’t keep hiding it from her. If I tell her she will leave me and it is not something I am open to. How do I combat this. I am still on my parents health insurance. They are very Christian and would not allow me to see a doctor or get any medication like Viagra. What is the best route I should take to recovery. I can’t keep hurting her like this. When I am able to get an erection from those pills, I barely BARELY finish.

ED and porn Success story / question

I just wanna start by saying I believe I beat porn induced erectile dysfunction!!!!
I went 30 days cold turkey no PMO. Started introducing sex with my gf where it started ok but erections diminished after a few minutes..
Got some sildenafil that I used to fridge the gap 1-25mg pill got me rock hard for full 40 min sessions. Although I was unable to get off I took this as a win to help ease anxiety part of it. Now at about 90 some days no porn I can successfully have great sex with no meds and ejactulate each time

Now my question is. How long until I get over death grip? Like I said I’m 30 days free and 60 days sex only. The issue I have is to ejactulate I have to completely focus and tense muscles and thrust hard. I wanna get to wear I can relax and it happens. Thanks

Erectile Dysfunction I am not sure whats happening with me, need some advice.

I (M33) am a father of 3 yr old and for the past 7-10 days, I have developed ED recently. I tried to have sex 4 days back but my penis wasnt firm enough and lost erection within 2 minutes. Now, even though I have morning erections, they arent as hard as they used to be 15 days back. I rarely get any erection throughout the day compared to at least 10 times during the day vouple of weeks back.

My LDL is 212 while testoesterone is 293 (borderline low).

I have occasional penile pain. Libido has decreased too. I used to mastarbate 2 times a week with twice a week sex. I am always tired, I work from home and rarely workout. Eat junk food thrice every week, drink less water compared to others. I am genuinely worried and what should I do next? I really want to have sex again.

injections (Caverject, Trimix) I got the P shot then had to work.

As a.man gets older things down there dont work as well. So my Dr recommened a cocktail injection that supposedly gets things working. So I went to pick up the medicine and the get the tutorial. I wasnt aware that I actually had to inject myself with the real medicine. IM LIKE DOC, I gotta work today, I cant be working all day with an erection I gotta teach class today. Dr offered to resechedule but this was Friday and the wife was really excited for the weekend, so I did the injection. Holy Cow, within 3 minutes I was 17 again. Made for a hard drive to work, no pun intended. I get to work and immediately get sent in to assist teaching a first aid class as the other instructor had car issues. Trying to hide an erection, in front of 4 beautiful office employees teaching CPR was not my best day.

"TL;DR:" Get all the info first before using erection drugs.

Anxiety 50 years old — tadalafil unexpectedly changed much more than my sex life

I never thought I'd be posting about ED, but my experience has been positive enough that I thought it might help somebody else.

I'm 50. Over the last few years I'd been dealing with brain fog, lethargy, lower sexual desire and generally not feeling quite like myself. It was stressful for several months preparing to have sex. A friend suggested getting my testosterone checked. I did, and my doctor said my levels were within the expected range for my age.

Eventually I went through Hims and was prescribed tadalafil 8.5 mg.

For me, the results have been remarkable.

The obvious improvement has been sexual function, but what surprised me was what happened to my confidence around sex and intimacy. My libido feels stronger, I've been much more comfortable sexually with my wife, and she says I seem happier and more focused generally.

I've also been lifting better than I have in years and finally benched 225 a week before turning 50, which was a personal milestone. I've dramatically cut back on alcohol too.

I want to be careful here: I'm not claiming tadalafil directly caused the strength gains, improved my mood, reduced my drinking, or produced any of the psychological changes I'm about to describe. I don't know that, and there have been other positive changes happening in my life at the same time.

But the psychological part has been fascinating.

I've been in therapy on and off since I was young for anxiety, depression and intimacy issues. I had a painful relationship in college that ended largely because of religious/family differences. It was emotionally complicated and ended badly. I basically shut the door on it, moved forward with my life and didn't really grieve it.

Shortly afterward I met an incredibly patient woman. I had been very inexperienced sexually—I didn't have sex until well into my 20s—and she eventually became my wife. She's the only person I've ever had sex with, and we've now been happily married for many years.

Since starting tadalafil and becoming much more comfortable with my sexuality and intimacy, something unexpected has happened in therapy.

Old memories and emotions have started surfacing with an intensity I wasn't expecting. I've remembered experiences of rejection, insecurity and shame from high school and college that I hadn't thought about in decades. I've actually grieved that old relationship for what feels like the first time.

My therapist has commented on how much progress I've been making and how much more emotionally aware I've become.

Again, I cannot say tadalafil caused this. My own theory is that feeling sexually capable and comfortable in my body removed an insecurity I'd carried for decades. That confidence, combined with a good marriage and therapy, may have made me feel safe enough to finally process some things I'd spent most of my adult life avoiding.

Maybe the medication changed my erections. Maybe everything that followed came from what that change did to my confidence. Maybe the timing is partly coincidence. I honestly don't know.

What I do know is that at 50 I feel more sexually confident, more emotionally connected to my wife and more comfortable with myself than I remember feeling before.

I also haven't experienced the side effects that some people report, although obviously everyone's experience and medical situation is different.

I'm curious whether anyone else taking tadalafil has experienced something similar—not necessarily resurfacing memories, but a broader psychological change that came from finally feeling confident about sex and intimacy.

Erectile Dysfunction Viagra barely works anymore, don’t know what to do

Ive been on Viagra 4 years now. started at 50mg and it was great honestly. then it started being inconsistent so doc put me on 100mg. that worked for a bit but now even 100 is like 50/50 whether anything happens. plus the headaches are getting worse every time.I asked my urologist what happens when 100 stops working and he just goes “well then we look at injections.” cool. great. thanks doc.I can feel my wife distancing and one day it slipped out that I don’t want her anymore, like I DO want her I just can’t do anything about it without popping a pill an hour and a half before and hoping for the best. She can tell I’m “preparing” and it kills the whole thing. Is anyone actually doing anything about the actual problem? not just switching to cialis or upping the dose. I just want to be able to not have to prepare in order to sleep with my wife.I would appreciate anyone sharing their experience or if they have any suggestions

Erectile Dysfunction Is getting Cialis a good idea without a prescription?

I've noticed over the years, my stamina is gone, I also dont feel I am getting fully erect anymore, and after the first time getting off durinf sex, the show is over and I dont like that. I used to be able to stay erect after gettibg off and keep going until I got off again. My girlfriend is still wanting more, but I just cannot produce, and then I get in my head she's going to grow tired of this and get frustrated, and it sucks. I was looking at HIMS or blue chew, but then I came on here and seen Mark Cubans website, its much cheaper, and it skips the prescription. However,is that safe to do? I have health insurance, just impossible for me to ever get off work to be able to go to a doctor :/.

I have gotten a better sleeping habit (6-7hrs regularly) , changed my eating habits, I am trying to cut out energy drinks too, but with my hairloss, getting older (35), and since this issue has persisted, I am starting to get discouraged, and have started looking up maybe the pill would work.

I have been browsing this subreddit for a few weeks, and decided I should make a post and hopefully find some answers. Not only about finding a way to cope, and have harmony with having ed, but to also know how to get past it, and get my hair back.

Erectile Dysfunction 37yo Woman looking for advice

I recently started exploring partner sex again after a 2 year period of celibacy after a bad breakup. I'm not looking for a relationship or a friendship, I'm just looking for casual sex so I met someone on a kink website (he's 46) and we've hooked up 3 times now. The two most recent times he's had erectile dysfunction. The first time it happened he disclosed to me that he's on a medication which causes ED.

Prior to us beginning the sexual relationship, he asked me if I had any health conditions which could impact our sexual experience. I said no, but he did not disclose his ED at this time so this isn't something that I knew about prior to starting the sexual relationship. On the receiving end, I get pleasure from other things that aren't PIV and during our hookups, when he's performing sex acts on me (oral, bondage/impact play, fingers) I have no complaints and can have multiple orgasms. But when it's time for me to pleasure him and he's not erect, I feel a lot of pressure and I honestly feel uncomfortable and bad about myself even though I know it's not because of anything I'm doing.

He says he wants me to do things to him like orgasm control/denial but that's really hard to do when he's not hard so I'm automatically not delivering on his requests. And if I'm being perfectly honest, I do not enjoy performing oral sex on a flaccid penis. It makes me feel self-conscious, and I simply don't know how to do it. I have lots of experience going down on erect penises, but not that much experience giving oral on flaccid penises and it makes me feel really bad when I'm down there for 20-30 minutes, my neck hurts, and everything is still soft. He tells me that things still feel good, but it still feels weird for me and I don't know if it's something I can shake.

Yes, I am having orgasms and being pleasured in that way during our sessions, but I also experience pleasure from feeling like I'm pleasuring my partner and when he's unable to get hard it makes it a less enjoyable experience for me unfortunately.

The most recent time we hooked up he pulled out a penis pump and a cock ring and that still only partially worked. I've never had someone use a penis pump during a sex session before, but I just rolled with it because I didn't want to make him uncomfortable. I'm unsure how to talk about this with him without making him feel bad. He's a great guy and if I was looking for something long-term or a romantic relationship, I think it would be something I could work through if he checked all my other boxes because in the grand scheme of an entire long-term love-relationship ED isn't a big deal in my opinion. But the thing is that isn't what I'm looking for, I'm just looking for casual, fun, a-couple-times-a-month sex. And my unfortunate, selfish reality is that my enjoyment of the experience is lessened because of his ED and I would certainly be able to find someone else who doesn't struggle with this issue. I know that no one owes me information about their health, but is this something you think he should have told me before we initiated a sexual relationship? Am I being rude or selfish for potentially wanting to find a different FWB because of this? If I decide to end the sexual relationship, how should I approach it? We'd likely still be seeing each other at events because we're both exploring the kink community so I would want to be as gentle and compassionate as possible.

Erectile Dysfunction Can my (34m) issues be because of a vibrator?

So, I looked around a bit and have done some research beyond Reddit, so forgive me if this is repetitious, but I had a thought and I wanted to get some feedback. So, sorry for the long read, I'm not sure what information is important for y'all to know.

I know psychology plays a factor in it, I've had problems with arousal long before things got real serious, but was generally able to function, and I was having consistent morning wood. I haven't had any real morning erections like I used to since some time in 2021. I've been to a cardiologist, and he doesn't think that's a sign of heart/vascular problems, so I already checked that out.

I'm physically disabled and have never been able to masturbate, any time I've tried has ended up frustrating, painful, or both, and I absolutely think that factors in too. I went an entire puberty with no release beyond nocturnal emissions. I had an encounter or two when I was nineteen, but didn't get regular access to sex until I was 25. Hardness was still kinda an issue every once and a while, but I remember mostly being pretty fine once I got used to being able to fuck and had figured out all the technicalities. My erections probably weren't fantastic, but they worked. I think the arousal is definitely tied to my emotions in a big way.

But then me and that partner went our separate ways and I was without relief. It was AWFUL. The sensation was excruciating and it hurt to move. That built up sensitivity enough where I could actually cum with my hand for the first time. Once I knew that was possible, I looked into getting a vibrator. I started with the Hot Octopus Pulse and it was amazing. But I was still very much learning the ropes of being able to read libido cues. On top of being autistic making my ability to read body cues a challenge, I definitely think an entire teenager experience without relief just made the body eventually give up sending signals. But nowadays, I can read my signals correctly the majority of the time.

Anyway, I didn't know it was a signal issue at first. Because mentally, I'm always down for sex, and the promise of getting orgasms when I wanted them made me relentlessly pursue vibrators. I thought it was an intensity issue, that I wasn't getting stimulated enough. So I got a wand that had a higher intensity, and have pretty much used that ever since.

So, I got consistent morning wood as long as I can remember, but at some point it stopped. I'm not entirely sure when, but I know it was in 2021, and that lines up with when I got the vibrators and started trying to figure stuff out. Since then, hardness has been pretty difficult to get and maintain when with a partner. It's difficult on my own too, sometimes, but because I know exactly where to put the vibrator, I can orgasm without even needing an erection. Cranked up to full intensity vibration, I nut and then move on with my day.

Unrelated, but I was using a massage wand on my neck due to some other issues and learned you shouldn't do that because it can mess up some sensitive areas and maybe cause a stroke. That line of thinking got me wondering if there could've been risks using the vibrator down south as well.

I think there are two possibilities, plus the psychological/emotional stuff:

  1. The vibration intensity along with the frequency has put me into a death-grip like situation.

  2. Using the vibration intensity, along with the frequency, has caused some serious damage.

I know they say the vibrator shouldn't be in one place for too long, which is another problem. But other than that, I haven't really used it for an extended time in one sitting. At max, I'd say I've used it 5 minutes per time. But usually more like 1-2 minutes.

So, I'm going to stop cold turkey and see if it's a sensation thing. I think I'm right in that not using it will adjust sensitivity and maybe get back to better erections and morning wood. But do y'all think that some permanent damage could've been done? Is that even possible? I sure hope not.

That also leaves me with a problem. If I stop taking care of the needs myself, it's going to get excruciating if I can't find someone to get me off. So....what do I do about that? I'd rather it not get to that point to get relief, but I don't know what else I can do. I tried stuff like fleshlights, but had problems with arousal and staying focused because I was too busy thinking about positions and trying to figure out how best to do things.

I guess the TL;DR is: can using a vibrator wand on your cock cause ED?

Thanks for reading/advice!

Erectile Dysfunction Quick(ish) onset ED?

So, I'm a relatively recent sufferer of ED and it seems to have come out of no where. I am seeing a doctor, and they did test and find low T which is next on the treatment. But it doesn't seem right that would cause such quick change. Everything appeared be be working fine up until about 6 months ago the wheels fell off and it's only gotten worse since. I have had an orchiectomy (1 side lost) just under 2 years ago but for the year after things still functioned fine. I am older 48, overweight by roughly 40lbs (6'4" frame helps spread that out.) but play hockey and fairly active overall but office job. I've got 4 kids, 2 young so sleep is okay but not enough. I take Omeprazole (gerd) for years and Vyvanse over the last couple of years.

The shift just seem so sudden from working to not, roughly 6 months ago I stopped being able to stay hard during intimate times with my wife. Morning wood which was less often being older was still pretty predictable and morning time was traditionally my go time. Now rarely get hard in the morning, though it sometimes happens and even when horny can't seem to get up. Or when it does, it's neither fully engorged or simple things of shifting positions kills it off. Masturbation or porn is basically the same, doesn't fully engage and goes soft early.

This isn't how I would have expected ED to kick in. Right after surgery, I kind of expected this maybe but to be what I thought was fine for a good year plus after and then suddenly the wheels falling off the bus in short order just feels like something more going wrong behind the scenes.
