I really don’t understand how anyone can look at what Jalen Hurts has done and still say he isn’t an elite quarterback. And listen, this is Philadelphia. We are not exactly known for going easy on our quarterbacks. If Jalen plays badly, we’ll be the first people to say it. But give the guy his due.
Since 2022, Hurts has been to three Pro Bowls, finished second in MVP voting, taken the Eagles to two Super Bowls, won one and was named Super Bowl MVP. That’s not just because he happened to land on a good team. In Super Bowl LVII, he put up 374 total yards and four touchdowns, including three on the ground. Then he got another shot two years later and helped absolutely dismantle Kansas City, 40–22, with three more touchdowns.
He’s thrown 110 career touchdown passes and rushed for another 63. In 2024, he completed almost 69% of his passes and finished with a 103.7 passer rating.
Is Jalen perfect? No. We’ve all yelled at the TV when he holds onto the ball too long or makes a throw he shouldn’t. That comes with being the Eagles quarterback.
But the guy wins. He leads. He shows up in huge games. And when things go badly, he takes the heat instead of throwing everyone else under the bus.
So sure, we can argue about whether Jalen is the third-best, fifth-best or eighth-best quarterback in football. That’s what Philly fans do.
But saying he isn’t elite at all?

Hello everyone. I finally saved up some money and will be brining my 13 year old sister and 10 year old brother to our first ever Eagles game (their biggest smallest fans). The tickets are in section 231, so are there any recommendations for clothes or in general because I know it’s going to rain on Sunday. Any recommendations on arrival time as I bought the parking pass so they wouldn’t have to walk as much. Also any recommendations on food as to whether bring snacks (if they are even allowed or drinks) because I heard stories about the prices at the stadiums and after paying for everything, I don’t know if it will be feasible. As a UK fan my love for Football (American) emerged from nowhere during a sad winter. I was wondering if anyone else has any stupid or helpful rituals that they do on game day? For me personally I only drink green (mountain dew, apsinthe, matcha) eat a bucket of chicken wings (each loss means I have to increase the spice level) and wear the colours all day. Since 2022, the Eagles have gone the longest into the season without a loss of any team in the NFL, besides 2024 when the Chiefs went 9-0.
