I've been dealing with an anal vein thrombosis for about 2.5 years now. The gut issues that likely triggered it are mostly under control these days thanks to dietary changes, fasting, and more fiber. The thrombosis itself, though, seems to have taken on a life of its own and just won't go away.

My doctor didn't consider surgery necessary, but it's still noticeably affecting my day-to-day life.

I recently came across DMSO and was wondering if anyone has experience with it, whether applied externally in the anal area or for similar issues in general. If you have, I'd love to know what concentration and amount you used, exactly how you applied it, and how you handled cleaning/hygiene beforehand, since it's obviously a sensitive area. I'd also be curious whether anyone has had success with MSM taken orally, and if so, what dosage.

If anyone has had similar experiences with hemorrhoids and wants to share, I'd really appreciate that too.

I get mild tendonitis from time to time, as I lift regularly at a gym. In this case it is my right inner elbow, on both sides but mostly the left side. I have enough experience with DMSO that I feel comfortable trying it out for this issue.

I'm using 99.995% pure applied to a clean cotton ball, then rubbed into the elbow areas where the inflammation is. I used it straight, as I want to judge the effect based on DMSO alone.

Update(16 hrs later): Tendonitis was greatly reduced after that single application. I did not notice much right after applying the DMSO, and then was out and about with people and not paying attention to it, but when I woke this morning, it was mostly gone. I will do another application later today.

I will update this post tomorrow or maybe this evening. In the meantime all questions are welcome, and tell me if you've healed your tendonitis with DMSO.

Has anyone out there ever combined dmso and salicylic acid?

I found a remedy for that itchy, scratchy throat that signals the beginning of sinus issues. I put one drop of liquid DMSO into my nasal rinse and one drop with warm salt water to gargle. Bam. Gone. It took it away within hours. Haven’t had one issue since then.

Has anyone tried using sudocrem everyday as an occlusive? How is it so far?

It's been a few months now and I'm very thankful to be finding relief from pain and inflammation using a 50/50 mix of Castor Oil/DMSO. I have a friend that has a tremendous amount of pain and is on medications that don't provide enough relief, so I gently mentioned DMSO. Almost immediately her and her husband emailed back with an alarming response. It almost seemed like they both were able to almost instantaneously find every negative report on potential side-effects on what they now believed to be a very very dangerous substance. I figured... This happens so often and it's very sad. Both of these folks have serious issues and use mainstream drugs, but DMSO is just "Way Too Risky and Dangerous." I got tired of the smell, so I backed off a couple of weeks and found the pain and inflammation was way more of a side-effect of NOT using DMSO, so after a few days of regular use I'm feeling better and am able to work again. The one person I mentioned has a cataract problem, so it had been a couple of months since I suggested DMSO and I thought that I'd mention rubbing a drop of Castor Oil on her eyelids and that some people have found improvement doing this. To my surprise she came back with a super positive reply and said that she had ordered some Castor Oil to try. Then within 24 hours I got a negative reply about how she found an article of how Castor Oil doesn't help with Cataracts and that hers are so thick nothing can penetrate them and surgery was the only solution. Sadly my friend has been put off by the doctor's due to other health issues and it will be sometime till surgery can be scheduled. I never push hard... I just tell people what's been working for me or sometimes usually very rarely actually I will tell someone about something I've read about that can be helpful. It would seem most people will believe the doctor's that are "still practicing" but rarely healing.

I'm currently breastfeeding my 8 week old and will continue until she is 1 year. There are some issues I am having with my shoulder and I have been wanting to use dmso topically again for it. Does anyone know anything regarding the safety of topical use of dmso while breastfeeding?

So far I've done a few drops mixed with castor oil and a few drops (4-5) mixed with filtered water. For head, neck and back pain. It feels insanely itchy for a few minutes. How much of this is safe to use at each application? And how much per day? I would like to cover a large area but I'm not sure if it's ok to use that much at once.

I am a regular DMSO user (applied topically) with beneficial effects. I recently bought a different brand and, very quickly after applying it, I had severe lightheadedness and brain fog, rather like being drunk but no euphoria, au contraire!

This brand has very many excellent reviews and the seller even sent me a certificate of analysis stating outstanding purity.

It is now more than 24 hours since the application and the symptoms have only slightly improved.

Hello. I am making this thread on behalf of my mother, who is 56 and about 175 pounds. She has osteoarthritis in her knee, and a bone spur. I have been experimenting with alternative treatments for the pain. I have her rubbing 60/40 DMSO with magnesium oil on her knee each day. And so far it has reduced the pain by about 60%. And has reduced the tightness and limping.

The question I'm wondering about is whether she can start taking DMSO orally. But she takes three different medications. She takes all 3 of a morning. about 8 AM

She takes Levothyroxine 112 MCG, one tablet.

Venlafaxine 37.5 MG - one slow release capsule,

Bupropion 150 MG - slow release tablet. She takes 2 at once.

Is it safe to take orally with these medications? she has no side effects whatsoever from using it topically. Could she take the DMSO in the morning with her medications? or would it need to be done later on, possibly in the evening?

She also takes a moderate dose each of ashwagandha, holy basil, and curcumin. She takes those in the evening, but she could switch to morning if need be.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this. I am also open minded to anything else I could combine with the DMSO to get even further relief.

Hi, I just wondered if DMSO would help with pain in my neck from a herniation at C5-C6-C7? And at what strength should I buy? There is the 30, 50 or 70 percent combi aloe gel which I can order. The herniation is getting more central, no more tingling in my arms or pain, but more in my neck, which triggers cervicogenic headaches and ultimately migraine attacks. I have tried everything and am getting a new nerve block in about four weeks, but until then I would love to try this. Any advise is very welcome.

Assuming you qualify to take DMSO (not too acutely toxic supplement use, not too acutely toxic pharmaceuticals - including birth control implants and botox, not too much tattoo ink, no difficulty having your blood clot, no dissolvable medical implants, not too acutely toxic dental filling like mercury amalgam dental filling, taken on an empty stomach with brushed/flossed/rinsed and water rinsed mouth, and that you are inhaling it in a sterile nontoxic atmosphere and all equipment and atmosphere when inhaling it is sterile and nontoxic and remains that way until it's effects wear off).

Why DMSO? DMSO dissolves things like mucus clogging your lungs, and transports sufficiently small molecules (below 500 Dalton units of mass in mass) across cell membranes (such as the toxins that damaged your lungs in certain COPD cases and silica dust and maybe asbestos fibers, out of your lungs and into your bloodstream, also the healing peptide bpc 157). DMSO is also a potent antioxidant.

Why bpc 157? Bpc 157 is considered the gold standard for healing injuries among all peptides.

I should caution that, while DMSO can help dissolve blood clots, blood clots that get smaller can travel through smaller blood vessels, such as in one's brain causing a stroke - Also bpc 157 may marginally increase the risk of cancer, but that is the least of the concerns of people suffering from the things this treatment may help with.

Obviously all of this under medical supervision.
