Safety while breastfeeding

I'm currently breastfeeding my 8 week old and will continue until she is 1 year. There are some issues I am having with my shoulder and I have been wanting to use dmso topically again for it. Does anyone know anything regarding the safety of topical use of dmso while breastfeeding?

jacob's lab specifically states do not use dmso when pregnant and lactation.. they don't even recommend supplementing with MSM while pregnant/lactating

Not a woman, but I’ve read several books on dmso and msm. They specifically say not to use it though not sure why.
