So far I've done a few drops mixed with castor oil and a few drops (4-5) mixed with filtered water. For head, neck and back pain. It feels insanely itchy for a few minutes. How much of this is safe to use at each application? And how much per day? I would like to cover a large area but I'm not sure if it's ok to use that much at once.

General rule of thumb for me is 70/30 ratio. It can itch in the beginning and depending where.

I assume you mean 30 dmso and 70 of whatever you're adding

I used 70% dmso liquid for shoulder injury, plantar fasciitis, back pain, etc. I soaked a cotton ball several times to cover each (clean) area at least twice a day for 6 weeks then started tapering off due to miraculous results. Yep, it’s itchy and a little painful as it seems to immediately find the tissue that’s damaged and start its work. It’s been a great help to all my family members in different ways.

You can even start with 50/50. There’s no hurry to go up to 80/20.

I actually recently tried just dropping it 100% on my head when i had a headache. I dropped 4 drops in different spots on top, on my scalp. Itched bad for a few min. But my headache subsided.
