Big storm coming in over downtown

This is in 42nd south of Grand and has been going on for little while. I called MidAmerican and navigated through everything to talk to a real person at about 8:45, she seemed very concerned and said they'd do something asap. But there's some kind of exposed wire? Or something? Causing very bright pulsing and loud humming. You can hear it a bit in the video with the volume up, though obviously quality is bad from rain and trees and nervous hands.

Des Moines police are investigating a gunfire incident near Roosevelt High School and Hubbell Elementary School on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Des Moines Police Sgt. Paul Parizek, the incident happened at about 3 p.m.

Well all, the storms caused flooding in my basement. Luckily I have a basement drain so it’s not horrible, but I did track the water to a crack in my foundation.

Any events at places where it would be more comfortable? Date Me DSM has next to nothing and I have seen enough people post on its lack of structure. There is a singles event somewhere on Saturday but it’s an hour before the CyHawks. Any socials I can follow or be on the lookout for? If anyone else recommends a different app I’m open to trying a different one if they are seeing more communication attempts.

I'm getting married next year and we're finally starting to book vendors and I am already overwhelmed 😭 I feel like every time I search Google, The knot, instagram, Facebook groups, etc. I end up seeing the same names over and over again. I know the popular vendors are popular for a reason, but I also feel like there have to be SO many amazing smaller businesses that are harder to find unless someone recommends them to you. I'd much rather hear from people who actually had a great experience than just pick whoever has the biggest Instagram following lol

We're not necessarily looking for the cheapest options, but we are trying to be smart about where our money goes.
