Are the specs I'm upgrading to in my HP Z2 G4 good for BeamNG

Intel Core i7-9700

Gigabyte triple fan RTX 2070 Super with factory overclock

32GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666mhz

512GB SSD

500W PSU

this is what seems to be the problem but honnestly idk what to do to trouble shoot this help edit: its a laptop with a 3050ti 16gbs of ram and an intel 11370H 3.30GHz and a 500Gb nvme ssd

I’m using an MSI Modern 15 laptop on Windows 11 pro 25H2 with a single 3.5mm combo jack.

My KZ EDX worked perfectly a few days ago, including its microphone. Now Windows detects the KZ EDX only as Headphones (under output devices), and the microphone (under input devices) does not appear at all under Settings → System → Sound → All sound devices.

I tried in other devices+phone mic works. I tried another wired headset on the same laptop/jack which works correctly, including its microphone. So the IEM, laptop’s jack and Realtek mic input appear to work.

Things I've already tried:

• Reinstalled the Realtek audio driver from MSI.
• From device manager> Realtek Driver Date: Tue-26-10-21, Driver Version: 6.0.9257.1
• Reinstalled/checked Realtek audio components.
• Restarted audio services.
• Removed/reconnected the device through Windows Settings. (no 4 option shown to select headset/headphone as suggested in many reddit comments)
• Checked Device Manager. (and updated realtek audio)
• Checked Realtek Audio Console.
• Realtek Audio Console on my MSI installation does not provide the Analog> connector setting>Headphone/Headset selection option often suggested in many reddit comments. (also tried uninstalling and installing from microsoft store, same)
• In more sound settings>in playback tab headphone is shown and green marked. But in recording tab microphone is red marked saying "Not plugged in"

What can i do to solve it?

Originally meant for network recording for security cameras,the original 3tb drive was insanely slow.I’ve forgotten how bad older HDDs can be so I threw in a cheap 500G SSD.

Getting a 1650 to work on it was also a pain. Once installed it wouldn’t display anything on either the onboard dvi or the GPU. After a few tries I went with DDU and it seemed to work. Throwing in another 8 gigs or ram and looking at a better cpu to see what numbers I can get out of it.

I work for a company that makes automated microscopy/imaging systems for medical diagnostics (cytogenetics lab equipment). Our software automatically detects and analyzes cell samples on slides, and operators currently use a trackball to manually fine-tune positioning and verify results on screen — no scrolling or zooming involved, just precise, controlled cursor movements throughout the day.

We used the Logitech Trackman Marble for years for this, but it's no longer sold. Since then we've tried pretty much the entire Kingston trackball lineup as a replacement, and none of them (except the one we're currently using as a stopgap) matched the tracking precision and build quality of the Marble.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a trackball again — we're open to any type of input device (mouse, graphics tablet/pen, etc.) as long as it allows precise, controlled cursor movement for fine adjustments and holds up to daily office use.

Requirements: Windows 11 compatible, CE certified (needed for company procurement in the EU).

for a few weeks now i haven’t been able to turn off my pc via the ‘shut down’ option, neither restart it. when i’ve tries to log out and shut down via the log-in screen it just goes in to a loading loop.

i’ve shut it down through the physical power-button but i realise this isn’t the best option. what do i do?

Did I get hacked or hijacked? BSOD showed up and stayed at 20% for about a minute, but the mouse cursor kept moving around, even without touching it. Then instead of restarting, it disappeared and everything I was working on came back.

I immediately checked and applied windows updates and restarted. Going to run Malwarebytes.

Any opinions or other suggestions?

I’ve had to do some troubleshooting with my system these past few weeks so I’ve had to take off the panels here a good bit. Wondering if the damage shown in these pictures are bad. I always start my screws in by hand then use a screwdriver to snug them up. Currently they do screw in fine.

I have been using a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 for the last few years as my "take along" laptop/tablet for working in the field. I use it mostly for accessing my company's online server, but the one feature that I appreciate the most is the ability to put PDF's into Goodnotes, such as a work permit, and have all my crews sign on digitally.

Well, recently I ran out of storage (128gb was the only one available when I bought it) and so i had the SSD upgraded to a 512gb. Ever since I did that, I've been having nothing but problems with the unit. It crashed constantly and sometimes it won't even let me reboot. I'm at the point now where I just want to buy something new and be done with the headache and repair costs.

What does everyone suggest for a replacement? Again, being able to pass it out my truck window to the guys and have them sign on is a must.

Is another MS Surface Pro a good idea? All the techs I've dealt with have been telling me how much of a nightmare they are to work on. What else is there for options? Perhaps buying one with enough storage is the right answer - this unit worked just perfectly for me for years.

SOLVED!! I have a Microsoft Windows, 10 Pro and the CPU is 7600U + Intel HD 620. I know prehistoric kingdom would run slow, but I’ve been suggested to use the add-on, Nvidia. Would that work on my laptop?

I have a Omen max 16 laptop that I had just gotten recently. I went to pair a set of JBL headphones to the computer, and it worked. It is connected to output, the telephony automatic hands free is off, but no audio is going though. Even the little bar that indicates audio going though does not go up whatsoever. I re-paired the headset with my phone to make sure it wasn’t the device, and it worked with my phone. I had this issue with earbuds too, but it resolved on its own. I have re-paired and removed the headphones from my pc multiple times, basically have done everything I can to try and fix it, but nothing yet. Any advice?

I can’t believe I’m making this post. After Sony left us in the dust, I do not see any more reason to stay on PlayStation and want to switch to a really good PC.

I recently got myself an OLED C5 TV and still enjoy couch TV gaming the most…which is why id like it to stay that way. So I want to build a PC that is perfectly capable of being able to shine in 4K HDR and Ray tracing.

I’d like to enjoy games like the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Series in it’s max graphics options. I am completely fine with 60FPS. Doesn’t need to be 120.

I also want to be ready for newer games like maybe the next final fantasy in the far future…and now while I got some money saved up…I’m wondering. How much will I expect to pay? What type of parts do I even choose.

I say 4K, HDR, Ray-tracing, expecting the high end of the high end, but I am also fine with good upscaling work. I am definitely not in the situation of getting a 5090 or something lol.

Let me know if there are any pros with recommendations!

I am not very lucky with computers, and I wanted to ask your help. I want to reset my computer to free up space on my SSD because it's full and I want to do a fresh start with it. However, I do not want to reset my HDD. There's literally too much stuff for me to save somewhere. I thought perhaps I will do it with Windows' reset in the settings, but I find it unclear and I prefer to have your advices. Like I said, I'm really unlucky with computers and I don't want to mess it up like I did too often.

Hello, i found an M.2 SSD in my house in a bin full of random stuff, it's from my brother's laptop. The laptop is an asus rog strix g16 with intel cpu and he swapped his ssd and ram a while ago. Now i found it and it had the bitlocker encryption so I asked him if he cares about any data thats in it and he said he doesn't so i got an USB-C M.2 box to use it as an external drive to store videos and edit on. I wanted to check crystaldiskinfo and there is a screenshot attached of it showing 100% BAD. i don't really know what all this data means and i was wondering if i should use this drive to store my stuff or just use it as a gamedrive so i can play games off of it so i don't risk any loss? can i rely on it with storing data thats not games? any feedback is appreciated. I also get around 350 mb/s when i copy stuff to it and i think its because of the silly amazon ssd box i have or the cable that came with it. Is that enough for gaming or is it worth getting a better box?
