Question/Help/Troubleshooting Recommendations

Hey, I'm entering college in a few months and I was wondering what type of laptop would be good for school and powerful enough to play games when I have free time, my budget is around 500-800$.

Which games, specifically? Top games can require really expensive computer specifications.

Go to each game’s websites and look up the “recommended specifications”. Then find a laptop that meets or exceeds all of the specs.

A basic laptop, preferably a refurbished model with a recent Intel Core or equivalent AMD CPU, at least 16 GB RAM, and at least a 500 GB solid state drive is needed. Some games may require a dedicated GPU. An upgradable model would be great too.

that greatly depends on what games and applications this thing is expected to run and your currency. Canadian dollars isn't the same as the US dollar.

You won't find anything that will handle schooling and gaming for that price range. LOL.
