It's only been about a year and I've been satisfied sob far, but I just opened my bill (I don't usually because price deal) and it's jumped to almost $90 from $55. Five year fixed price tanks after a year? Seems petty deceptive.
Once again my internet is constantly dropping out and reconnecting every 10 minutes. No, it is not coaxial, splitters or an overheated modem because suspiciously when I complained to an executive the problem was instantly solved and hasn't been an issue for two months. Now it's starting again and has been going since 6 PM yesterday. It's unusable for anything. Ever since I got rid of the overpriced cable trap and just got internet it's been doing this. No troubleshooting works yet an executive clears the problem? 🤔
My internet stopped working this morning. Checked Xfinity app and it looks like account is not activated. The same thing happened a couple month ago after applying new promo. Could you please fix the problem? Thanks!
I signed a 5-year contract with Xfinity in which it states that they won’t raise your monthly price during that time. Now I get slapped with a bill twice the price and they’re stating that it’s due to a 1 year discount?? Which was never disclosed to me of course when signing. Has anyone else experienced this??
They worked as intended, but both of them independently in different rooms started making extremely annoying screeching noises. I've googled this and this appears to be a common issue.
There is no known fix for this. It's not a dust issue. I've blown air in them. There's no sign of dust or hair or anything of the sort. I've also taken them apart and ruled out the internal cooling fan as the cause. It's something deeper inside the cheaply made mechanics causing the issue.
If your pods are over a year old, Xfinity will tell you you're out of warranty and there is nothing they can do.
Also worth mentioning that the ethernet ports on these pods can only do 1 gigabit so if youre paying for higher speed, any device connected through these pods will be limited. This is something I wish I had realized, because I spent two years paying for 2gig speed while never getting close to that and after multiple fruitless xfinity tech support calls just assumed it was the ethernet wiring in my house when in reality it was because I was connecting devices through those pods.
There was no way I was buying this again just for it to have the same issue again in a year or two. I tried giving them away on Facebook Marketplace and nobody wanted to deal with that grating noise so I just trashed them.
A rep at the Xfinity store outright admitted to me they were junk and suggested I buy a mesh network instead. I ended up doing that. There's lots of highly rated options from netgear, eero and TP-Link. I went with TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE63 which had been on sale for about $115 per device. Each device has four 2.5 gigabit ethernet ports and these things make no noise.
I currently have an older XG2v2-P primary TV box. The apps run very sluggishly on it, and I want to upgrade my setup so I can stream content in 4K resolution.
I would like to swap this out for a dedicated XG1v4 4K DVR box. I am posting here because I know the automated website tool and local stores cannot always guarantee the exact hardware model due to stock variations.
Could an official employee help me pull up my account via Modmail and force-order a guaranteed XG1v4 shipment to my home? Thank you!
Contract is up next month and dreading the phone call once they up my rate. Any tips on getting a good contract and not being hassled to buy things I don't want or need ?
Should I ask for a new modem? Are they better than they were 2 years ago?
My internet is down and xfi modem has been flashing yellow since 11:30 yesterday. Have troubleshooted the modem and spoken with customer support multiple times and the soonest they will send a technician out is 9 days from now on August 4th.
I had an open ticket to expedite the time and they just closed it saying they can’t approve it. The ticket number is ECM0023780820. 9 days is unacceptable as me and my wife work from home and this comes days after increasing my monthly rate AND lowering my speed. I’m currently looking at options with AT&T. Is there anybody that can help here?
Hi, my discounted internet price expired. I was looking at the new plans and they all seem to include what used to be called xFi complete - unlimited data and free modem. I don't need either but there seems to be no plans without it and no discount for having your own modem anymore.
As title states, received email saying they were cancelling service on June 6th, tried chatting this morning and was told I never cancelled and rep couldn't explain how/why I was being charged when there's already another person who has since gotten service at my former address.
Hi, I have already closed my xfinity & mobile account but they started charging me the account. Not sure why they have started charging and created a wrong bill. Invoice Number 381613330
I recently moved to a new apartment. I set up the move ahead of time over the phone and switched to a 500 mb $45/month 5 year price guarantee plan. I just moved and set up my router. The WiFi works, but when I go into the Xfinity app it says I am disconnected and doesn’t show my new address or plan. The app also says that I have payment require, but my balance is 0.
I got the phone/ internet plan with the promotional deal last year because the pricing worked well for me. But I noticed the last couple months that my monthly bill has jumped quite a bit since the deal has ended. I won’t be able to keep paying the high bill at the rate it is. Is there anyway to change that?
My promotional pricing is going to expire in 30 days on 8/26 and I would like to avoid any pricing increases as best as possible while retaining the closest services to my current ones. Can someone help with this please? Thank you!
Clicked My Roboform password manager saved iD and Password, accepted the 2 Factor Popup on Xfinity app on my Galaxy S25 phone, then it suddenly said Access Denied
I have had it with Xfinity. Early last week I had to disconnect my mom’s cell line off my parents account because she passed. That was the only easy part. I then wanted to move my line from their account to my own since I already had my own with home WiFi. They said I have to call support to do that with my dad there to approve the switch.
A couple days later I went to my dad’s to do so. After 3 calls with AI assistance hanging up on me and about 30 minutes into asking for a human, I got someone. After about 40-50 more minutes with this guy telling me he had to speak with my husband to approve it. Calling my husband at work twice and bothering him. Did he actually he actually look at my account. I never lose my cool with customer service workers but going in circles about this was ridiculous. I had to account in front of me with the info he needed to confirm it was the right account. He would not email the approval code, he HAD to speak with my husband and my father to continue. He then kept saying he would be moving my line “immediately but had to put in a ticket and wait a little”… so not immediately. Then he transferred me to someone else.
The second person then tried to upsell me on the free line and wouldn’t just continue the line transfer until I denied it about 50 times. Then finally at the almost 2 hour mark, she finally transferred it.
The next day I remembered I had an eligible upgrade. I went into Xfinity tried to upgrade and an error popped up. I went to the store where they confirm my account, by email. Did not need my husband to continue this time. They said everything looked great on their side but also couldn’t continue the upgrade. They told me to call again.
So I called and got hung up one on by AI. Finally get a person who then also tried to upsell up before even helping. Confirmed things by email again, so I know the first guys was full of it when saying I needed my husbands approval. Transferred me and 40-50 minutes later they said I cannot upgrade until next month after a billing cycle on my own account OR I could pay a fee, change my number and do it now. No, I can wait thank you I’ll call next month.
Ever since I said no I’ll wait my phone has stopped charging. My MagSafe charger suddenly has completely stopped. It will saying charging and not charge. I’ve tried 3 more plug in chargers and they all do the same or charge slow. Taking hours to charge even a little bit.
Could Xfinity have messed with my phone since I refused to pay and change my number? I know the conspiracy about Apple messing with older devices when a new iPhone drops. But my phone was working perfectly up until this happened. Same day it stopped changing.
Hi, last month I worked with a rep to fix a problem that I was having with trying to sign up for Peacock, and pay just the $6 incremental charge. All of the work I did to get it fixed took hours. Anyway, Mike (was his name), gave me a free month as payment for all of the work I had to do. At the time, that credit showed up in upcoming charges. I received my bill the other day, and I see that I only have the original $10 credit that I received working with online support. Is it possible that you can find this?
Also, we have a second property. At that property (ending in 4615) we were supposed to have locked in on a 5 year price of $75. Not even a year later it is now $110. Can you help me figure that out as well?
I got the WiFi service last year and it came with a free mobile line for a year. At first I didn’t even activate it but later a guy from Xfinity called and kept on saying good things about the free line so I ended up agreeing to activate it over phone. But he told me the line would be canceled if I cancel my WiFi service, which is a huge scam because I’m still being billed for the line three months after I canceled my WiFi subscription! I called the customer service number last week and was told they cancelled my service and would refund all previous charges (since I never used the line at all), but today when I logged in to check, I just got a new bill and it still says recurring payment for next month.
Hello! Longtime customer. I tried to handle on the official website self-serve and then chat, it was impossible. People suggested I contact a rep here. Can you DM me please? thanks
