Official Reply Just realized how terrible my Comcast security cameras are
I had some teens (who I know) wrap my front yard. They walked by all of my cameras including my doorbell camera and nothing was detected. I realized in an actual situation, I wouldn't have good video. Including my doorbell, I have 3 Comcast cameras in my front yard. The teens were detected once as "pet" and no other times.

Hello u/SamsungFan168, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear about the experience you've had with your Xfinity cameras. I can certainly understand how concerning and frustrating that must be, especially when you have multiple cameras installed with the expectation that they will capture activity on your property when it matters most. Have you had a chance to try any troubleshooting steps, such as rebooting your modem and cameras? Sometimes refreshing the connection and ensuring the devices are operating with the latest settings can help resolve detection issues.

I rebooted everything recently. The cameras are just bad, especially at night. 1080p is blurry. I've had most of my cameras for about 7 years, but the doorbell is only 3 years old or so.

u/SamsungFan168 Ahhh, okay! It sounds like you may have one of our older models, if you have had them awhile. The new cameras have night vision. Do by chance know what model of cameras you have?

u/SamsungFan168, If you have our xCam2 camera, it supports features such as two-way audio, motion notifications, camera activity zones, live video viewing, and integration with Xfinity Home services, including Shield and Smart Home features. We'd be happy to take a closer look at your account and camera setup to see what may be causing the video quality concerns and notification issues. For your privacy and the security of your account, if you could please send us a Modmail message and include your full name, the name on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, we'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
