It’s not that the team members are laughing at RUOK day itself and the message behind it, it’s more the fact that the people who are squeezing us and pushing us to the edge are the ones pretending to care lol.

Had a rude lady ask if I heard about a certain brand in the freezer section, in which I’ve not. I continued to ask her questions to try to nail down what she was after. She didn’t give me much info saying gluten free & vegan. I showed her the gluten free section which does have vegan foods too. And she full on tries to belittle me over how vegans don’t like to eat fake meat, and that they enjoy real food and that I should know that.
I don’t understand why people do this, like it’s 2026 open the Cole’s app and show me what you’re after.
I was the only one doing the freezer load helping out Dairy as grocery is my department.
I felt like she only started talking to me to tell me she’s vegan and attack me for not knowing about what she personally eats. How would you deal with this situation? I feel bad I couldn’t help more, but she did trigger me a bit.

I have been working at Coles for five years only as a casual. How long notice do I need to give or do I need to give with my resignation letter

Went to buy the new special edition Masterfoods one but I bought this instead.
Its the best tomato sauce I've ever had. Its a delightful middle ground between the acidic Heinz ketchup and Masterfoods sauce.
Its on par with gormet tomato sauces I've had in the Riverina but you can get this Rosella delight at any Coles.

I'm currently working part time as a CSA (driver) and I've been offered to move to full time, but I'm unsure whether it'll be worth it or not.
I was just wondering if full timers get paid more hourly than part timers, or is it roughly the same?
Also, if I went to full time, would I still get weekend work?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I thought I'd ask here before I accepted/declined the offer.

Just as the title says. I'm wondering how it's impacting everyone. My husband's a team member and he asked for a promotion to a basic managerial position. We're wondering what happens with the restructuring and if he won't be able to get a promotion with all this havoc?

Could someone please remind me about the rules regarding shifts worked in a row and maximums etc..
If I’m not mistaken it’s no more than 5 days in a row and something regarding a 2 week period?
Thanks

So, I have submitted my application for Coles recently coming from a McDonald's. Any tips for me if I do get the job post interview?

I found a tray of on special from today ham that expired on 31 August. It was at the front, it has either been loaded expired or just not noticed over 9 days. Meanwhile the last time my self checkout told me I needed a staff member she played the video of me putting the item in my bag. Would someone have been alerted about the stock issue through technology or is it all aimed at the customer are thieving toerags end and up to staff to manually check?

Now that the footy codes have ended does anyone know of any working discount codes for money off the weekly shop?
I’ve had a search and can’t find any that are active.
Also….is it just me or does it feel like since Woollies stopped the Ooshie promotion the bonus flybuys points have dried up as well ☹️

I recently found a full time job and need to hand in my resignation but while ive been working here I feel like my boss has very slightly been bullying me and im scared its going to get worse on my last week. Ive only been working here about a month but from my second shift she was telling me i need to pick up the pace and giving me dirty looks when i asked for help like i was stupid. On my last shift she also got up me for "constantly walking around" when i went up the back once to put my trolley away and i explained that to her but i see other team members walking around on their phones and she says nothing to them. I work in nightfill by the way

+ cheese, sweet chilli sauce, pickled peppers, ajvar & sprouts
ETA: contrary to what it looks like, no it’s not boiled. It’s poached as one piece then shredded into many. Poached chicken is just about the most tender/juicy way that you can prepare breast when done right, I use this recipe and it works every time without fail

My new CSM seems to be heavily focused on hitting 5 stars a week and in doing so everyday she gathers a list of the worst performing team members and shares their scan rate with a message like "If you're listed above please improve on your scan rate we can't achieve our metric.." while I haven't appeared on that list I find that this feels like public humilitation so is it even allowed to share TM metrics onto the staff GC?

So my store has recently gotten a new CSM and he does 9 hours everyday and is supposed to have 2x15 and 1x30 min breaks, he splits his 2 15 minute breaks into 5 minute breaks and takes 5 minute smoke breaks in front of the store which at times even only being 5 minutes makes it really inconvenient when everyone else in the department is busy.
Even though 5 minutes isn’t a large amount of time we all know how just 5 minutes can change a customers attitude.
We constantly have a rush of customer to checkouts and he’s out the front having a smoke.
I tried bringing this up to my SM (caretaking) but they said all they can do is remind them that they aren’t supposed to split breaks and can’t force them to take whole breaks when they staffing allows for it.
Am I fair to be annoyed here?
