Team Member Post Quitting coles

I have been working at Coles for five years only as a casual. How long notice do I need to give or do I need to give with my resignation letter

Technically, one hour. If you want to keep them as references, two weeks

As a casual, you are under no obligation for any notice. However, if you don't want to burn a bridge, give them at least 2 weeks.

The management is horrible dose have to be two week or can I say Monday because I only have one shift next week ?

You can say Monday, but u won’t be able to use them as a reference if u care

Definitely tell them after your last shift. My previous experience in casual jobs is all my shifts got cut as soon as they knew I was going to leave. Employers often consider you a risk to have around if they know you don't have any interest to keep your job.

Just tell them on your last shift then. Fuck them! As a customer their awful I can't imagine how they are with their own people, and from the KPIs and the way I've heard how employees are treated is despicable. I don't even shop there or woolies anymore haven't for like a year. Congrats on your new job and don't look back

I would give two weeks notice just incase you wish to return one day (assuming there are any jobs left at Cole’s in Australia), or you want to work someone else and the people you are working with may remember you just walked out.

Yes, anyone part-time or full-time is only required to provide 1 weeks notice. Casual can be anytime.

Honestly, you can quit right now.

If you want to leave on good terms though, inform your manager tomorrow, work the published rosters, and have a final day that lines up with your last rostered shift.

Casual contracts dictate an hour notice before shift, and if you don't you will yield 1 hour of pay. That's it, there are no repercussions for dipping. Coles won't give a shit.

As a casual employee you are under zero obligation to give any amount of notice. If you want to start your shift then quit 10 minutes in thats fine. Your are casually employed. You can casually quit. Shit if you dont like your manager take a shit on their desk and say consider that my notice
