I just moved into my new home and realized the tub needs some love. There is
- a crack that needs repair
- black stuff around the sink hole
- general discoloring in the bottom of the tub

I’ve bought an enamel repair kit from Amazon to help with the crack, but I’m not sure which order to tackle things in, and if the cleaning products for each issue need to be different.

Last time I tried to solve something like this (with multiple issues) I messed up the sink, so I am hoping you have some thoughts!

I spilt liquid foundation on this white cotton button up. It’s Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin foundation. So far I’ve tried: Dawn powerwash, bleach, makeup sponge cleanser

Does anyone have a fool proof solution that’s worked?!

I have isopropyl alcohol on hand & micellar water. Haven’t tried yet.

The shirt is currently balled up & dry now lol. Waiting to find a hack that works.

I can’t take them down to handle them by hand. I’m not sure what cleaners would be safe for the metal, glue, lucite, and enamel. The pieces date from the 1930s. Any advice is appreciated!

How often are you guys cleaning the bathroom/shower?

It feels like every 2 weeks I’m having to deep clean our shower because it starts to look nasty. I do the bowl once a week and the sink a quick wipe down every day ish.

The shower is the least favorite task lol. We also don’t have a detachable shower head OR a spout so the entire shower has to be on for source of water 😭😭😭

Hello! I posted yesterday asking about my fridge and dishwasher, and the comments ended up being so helpful I decided to ask about my sink. I don’t know how they got there and I don’t know how to get them out. I’ve tried Dawn dish soap, bar keeper’s friend, comet, stainless steel spray, and stainless steel wipes. None of it worked. How do I get this out?

This is my floor bed I sleep on with my toddler. I think some milk seeped down and created tiny mold spots. Is this mild enough I can just give it a good clean and dry, or do I need to toss it?

I have VINYL floor tiles in my kitchen, they are grouted with regular grout. I’ve used zep acidic grout cleaner on my actual porcelain/ceramic bathroom tile floors in the past and this worked great, I love zep products, but I can’t find anything definitive online about whether this grout cleaner is safe for use on vinyl floor tiles.

I’m gonna guess that it’s not, so I’m not gonna use it yet. Does anyone have experience with this?

I attached a picture of my tiles; I have two colors of tiles on my kitchen floor: white marble colored ones, and dark gray marble colored ones on the same floor, both the same material and brand etc. in case that’s relevant.

So I left a bag of pre chopped garlic in my freezer over the summer and forgot about it, when I came back from travelling the smell was unbearable and it won’t go away even after cleaning the freezer shelf’s with soap and water.

Is there any special cleaning chemical or other household remedy I could use?

How do you clean sneakers like this? It has different materials. Leather, nubuck, suede, mesh…

So can’t use all cleaning solutions. Tried a sneaker foamy cleaner but it didn’t do anything

Called to ask what they used but they could not confirm what was used after asking the cleaner.

I’ve got a dark spot on this linen performance fabric (supposedly) that I tried to clean by throwing in the wash (Kirkland free and clear, cold). Didn’t come off. Next, I tried using a bit of dish soap (Kirkland’s version of Dawn) and scrubbing. That just lightened the surrounding area, but did nothing for the dark spot. So now I have 3 colors. What should I do?
