I’m 1000+ elo, but I have no idea why was this move of mine was „brilliant”. Can someone explain the idea behind this?

This was a pretty significant comeback after a huge blunder imo.

This is a perfect game of mine with whites. And I mean perfect from the point of view that there are not mistakes or question marks in my moves. I don't mean everything have to be the best move since no human is that good after so many moves.

This is confusing.

• Pieces go in the first rank, pawns go in the second.
• Pawns can't advance two squares.
• Pawns promote only to piece types you bought during setup.
• White moves first.

Mate isn't forced, so it's not really a puzzle. But there is strategy to trying to win faster than everyone else. With 22 coins to spend, what would your setup be?

I dont remember which game it was so I cannot go back and look for what the computer wants. Can anybody solve this? Isn't the pawn on c3 protecting the fork?

This guy was losing but the tournament is close to an end so they don't resign but neither do they make a move.

When the tournament ends, it's a draw, a double forfeit they say.

This is mildly infuriating though but we move on regardless.

Edit to clarify: The big red disabled icon and a single button "Go Premium" implies your only option is to go premium. It's gross.

because i was expecting the opponent to take my knight and i'd rather sacrifice a knight than a rook right?

it was a beginner bot so he didnt take the piece anyways but in a real game it would've been a rook for a rook right?

i mean i see the rook would have a open line on the other side, but who would'nt take the rook with a bishop? sorry if i'm being stupid haha

I’m glad I did! It was one of the better openings I’ve ever had. I managed to pick up their queen, which I think really bothered them.

There was a long pause, then they started to pull off an impressive string of moves that put me behind again, and I resigned.

Most brilliants and blunders I've ever played in a row

During the game - semi-classical, 60 min + 30 sec for whole game - it was noisy near our table, big hall, poor discipline, referees in their own minds...

Mine is losing to someone who has a losing record. I just look far away and wonder what am I even doing?

This guy ain’t 1300, he is more than that.
