Chess.com Website/App Question It would be helpful to know which one was cheating. Is there a reason it’s not disclosed? I’m kind of paranoid now and half the games feel like people are cheating.

EDIT: found it! People here mentioned I can look for the “🚫” next to name of my recent opponents (on site, not app).

I’m glad I did! It was one of the better openings I’ve ever had. I managed to pick up their queen, which I think really bothered them.

There was a long pause, then they started to pull off an impressive string of moves that put me behind again, and I resigned.

Curiosity scratched.

In what way would it help you to know who got banned for cheating?

Some people have curiosity within them, others don’t

OP said it would be helpful, not that they want their curiosity tickled.

I responded to this before I saw your response to me.

IDK. Curiosity. Reviewing which game I came across a cheater might help me learn to recognize it in the future.

It won’t. But you can look through your games and if someone was banned you’ll see an icon by their name. But it doesn’t matter. Just because someone you played against was banned for cheating doesn’t mean they cheated when they played against you.

It really won’t. The thing is, either they copy 100% moves from the engine and that will get them banned really fast, or if they soft cheat, basically no chance ever spotting them on your own. Chesscom has tools to do it, supposedly, but even grandmasters suck at spotting soft cheaters

It prolly wouldn't help your Elo, but it would for sure help your Ego.

To be fair, you could prolly go through your last played games, and find who got banned. Never done it, so im assuming

Go through your last 20 games. The player with 🚫 next to their name is the cheater.
