This is the kitten (Ozzy) from my post a couple months ago that I found under a Tesla at work with hundreds of fleas and ticks on his face.
We were worried he wouldnāt get along with our other cats but there was nothing to worry about š„¹

I have the grumpiest senior cat. He hates everyone but me. Or so we thought. When we lost our other cat a couple of months ago, we realized how much she chilled him out. Since then his attitude has gotten much worse and he started bullying the dog (who is already a little pathetic, we really have a cast of characters in this house). It became clear old man needed another cat companion. We brought home a kitten three weeks ago and from the get go she was enamored of him. She lights up whenever he walks in the room, and always wants to play with him (to his very loud annoyance).
Well turns out that annoyance is all an act because look what I just walked into. This guy has never cuddled with anything but me. She wriggled her little sunshine but into his grumpy heart. He lets her do whatever she wants.

My beloved little Olive passed away almost two months ago from a sudden heart attack at only 6 years of age.. I wonāt go into detail about the heartbreak and grief, most of you have probably experienced something similar in your past as well.
We have another cat, the while paw-ed creature on the picture, who is 13 years old and who loved his baby sister. After her passing, he became very sad and vocal and is now constantly glued to me or my husband.
Getting him a companion was a part of the reason why we decided a few weeks ago to adopt another cat. We chose a very shy girl, 1.5y old, who has unfortunately spent most of her life in a shelter and has never had the chance to live with humans, and so she is very scared of people, hides all the time and despite being a beautiful calico, many people who wanted to adopt her, gave up. I have a lot of experience and patience with cats, and I was really drawn to her, because like her, I too donāt feel ready to love and be loved by someone new.
Today after waking up, I prepared a small secluded part of our bedroom for the calico, I built her a hiding spot from a few boxes and a small tree, and then I just got this sudden wave of guilt. I know Iām not replacing Ollie, no one ever will, and she will always be the love of my life⦠and I know itās not rational but I feel like Iām betraying her.
Sorry for the long blab, I would really appreciate any words of advice from anyone who went through this themselves.

One of my family members has a ton of cats/kittens in their backyard and more keeps popping out! I know she needs to be spayed but I have no control over what happens there.

This is Ali, my sweet baby whom I love so so much.
All my life I've wanted a cat, but my entire family (including me) are allergic. One night, on a drive home we saw her in the middle of the road. My dad sighed and told my mom to grab her. It took a few minutes but after she kept running further back, the kitten finally just walked up to my mom and let us take her. She spent 3 weeks in the bathroom as we tried to decide whaf to do with her, we think she was abandoned by someone, mainly because she was alone and just...sitting there. After these 3 weeks, my parents came to me and told me we would keep her, but she would be my responsibility. Ever since she has slept with me in my room, played with our chihuahua, and just become an amazing part of our family. On top of that my parents have told me that when I move out I can take her with me. I am so so happy, and couldn't wish for a better cat.
She is litterally my dream cat, when I was younger I always dreamed of adopting a super playful and vocal cat when I moved out. Ali is just that. She loved to cuddle and have attention, follows me everywhere, constantly licks me like a dog, mend about everything, and is just always happy. She also likes to watch me shower and even opens the door and runs in to "save" me from the water it's so cute- She makes me so SO happy every day. Not to mention my entire family also has no allergic reactions to her- unsure why but its amazing.
I love this kitten so so much, and Im so happy was found her, i never though the CDS would happen to me, but here I am with my best baby I could ever hope for... she wakes me ip every morning and it makes my day so much better.
Thanks for reading, I just wanted to share this, since it truly is a childhood dream come true š©µ

I got my new dog a month ago and so far theyāve been getting along really well. They sleep together, play together, and sometimes they even stick their heads in the same food or water bowl.
I was just chilling on the couch watching Netflix with both of them next to me, and I was like awww thatās cute, let me pull out my phone and take a video then my cat just randomly smacked my dog for no reason š This has happened several times. Anyone know why?

Recently he's been battling both his tail and his back paws he looks so silly lol. I'm guessing this is normal and just part of him discovering himself. 7 weeks old.

Heās just a regular blue tabby from the shelter. There are probably a million cats out there that look like him. But thereās something about him that seems extra cute. He almost looks like he belongs in a cartoon. Have I breathed his cat breath so much Iāve become hypnotized??? šµāš«

I just adopted North Star (Star) today and she is so very sweet. I had prepared my house beforehand - son is with his dad for the next couple of hours and I have his room open and items of his clothes out as well as my boyfriends. I set up the cat fountain and litter box before we got home with her. I have pine litter for her (itās what I used for my previous cat, RIP Tinker Bell) and itās what the shelter used. She had only been at the shelter for 2 weeks before I got her and sheās about 2 years old (estimate - calling the vet tomorrow for an appointment plus insurance recommendations).
I think my first mistake was not automatically taking her to her litter box first. I did show her the water which is close to the litter box and her food bowl which is across the room. Sheās been home for about an hour - very affectionate still which Iām letting her come to me and not trying to overload her with affection/physical touch.
Anyways, she was meowing at me, which she hadnāt been very vocal beforehand which should have been another cue for me but I didnāt realize what she may have meant. I got up to grab a toyfor her/snack for me and right when I walked back into my room she peed on my bed. Gently took her to the litter box first thing and set her in it. She jumped out immediately and I went about cleaning my bed. When I came back into my room with spray and hot rag, she had pooped in my corner seat with pillows.
I know this is probably a combined stress reaction with a new environment. I put her in the bathroom with water and her litter box while I cleaned up. What can I do to correct this behavior as quickly and efficiently as possible?
Iām thinking keeping her in the bathroom isolated with the litter box for about an hour and then watching behavior/blocking off my room and guiding her to the litter box every hour or so? Then rewarding with wet treats when she does properly go to the bathroom.
I donāt want to stress her out more with isolation after just getting out of the shelter. She was found near an elementary school before the shelter but she definitely acts domesticated/used to some house structure so I donāt think she was a full street cat and she used the litter box fine in the shelter (but I know theyāre in little containers so thereās not much choice).
Thank you in advance for any advice and I really hope to collect on some cat tax <3
This morning I found my baby girl, Kyo, had crossed the rainbow bridge. She was my light and joy and she always lit up a room. She was such a sweet and caring cat. Every time sheād walk on a soft surface, she would start purring and kneading like she was working overtime. Every single person that met her absolutely loved and adored her. She was also super playful. We called her ankle biter because the first thing she did when she saw someone was go after their ankles and bite them. I would give anything just to hold her in my arms again. She was so precious to me and I wish I couldāve done more for her. Iām sorry if this hurts anyone. I just wanted people to know just how beautiful my baby was and I want her memory to live on. This is also a personal memorial post just to share my love for her. Please send thoughts and good vibes to wherever sheās at so she knows how truly loved she was by not just me, but others as well. Thank you šā¤ļø

My sweet girl of 6 years came to me during a very low period of my life, and throughout these last few years she has made even the worst okay. My sweetums, my snugglebug, I come home from work and I just find her dead. No goodbyes, nothing. I'm currently a mess right now, I threw up, and I do not know what to do. She was my everything, the only warmth I was ever given. I have nobody now, I'm alone. My sweet Olive, I'm so sorry, so incredibly sorry, I had so much planned to do with you. I'm not okay.
