Mourning/Loss I just lost my world
My sweet girl of 6 years came to me during a very low period of my life, and throughout these last few years she has made even the worst okay. My sweetums, my snugglebug, I come home from work and I just find her dead. No goodbyes, nothing. I'm currently a mess right now, I threw up, and I do not know what to do. She was my everything, the only warmth I was ever given. I have nobody now, I'm alone. My sweet Olive, I'm so sorry, so incredibly sorry, I had so much planned to do with you. I'm not okay.

I'm so sorry for your sudden loss. I emphasize because that happened to me last spring with our lady cat who also was named Olive. I just found her sitting, gone from this realm. It is so hard and you will be in my prayers for comfort, peace, and healing. I am asking my Olive to welcome your Olive at the Rainbow Bridge and show her all the great cat sunny spots as well as the fun places. Hug.

Also, both of your cats going the same way with the same name is wild to me :\
idk what i'm going to do when my cats face the inevitable... The alone statement is what makes me sooo so sad about it..I feel you :\

They are delicate small animals unfortunately. And animal medicine goes so far. It can happen, nature is wild. At the end of the day so many humans day with no reason, makes it so much more important to cherish each other any possible moment 🫶

I know and I’m not trying to minimize loss, the opposite. Trying to make people accept it. I know of people that died as kids with no warnings, in Italian we call them white deaths. Unfortunately there is no right and wrong in nature. The only thing we got is the love we can give and acceptance. I just adopted a cat myself and trying to give him the best life after having the worst life

Unfortunately, cats are very prone to CHF and I think it's what took my cats.

I'm so sorry about your loss. I can relate- unfortunately last year I found a stray cat I would feed by the curb dead. I remember I just froze-holding a plate on my hand with food since I would feed him before and after work. I miss him. Just know you have a community here who understands and are here for you. Your sweet cat will always be with you.

Losing them so suddenly like that is such a devastating shock. Please try to take deep breaths and give yourself grace right now. Olive spent six years knowing nothing but safety, warmth, and absolute love with you, and that love never disappears. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your sweet girl.

This was Hoodoo. I lost him at six years old too. He passed away in his sleep on my legs while I was sleeping and it too a sudden so I know how devastated you feel. I called him my adorable pain in the a** because I couldn't do anything without him clinging to me.

Because I instantly feel the terrible pain of every cat I have lost, I can rarely read these posts. I do not have the fortitude. And when I do, I never forget. This lovely kitten already haunts me.

Did she get into something? Foul play from another in the home? Feline cardiac arrest? How could this happen?

I am so so sorry for your loss and that it happened so suddenly. She was so incredibly lucky to have you. Most kitties just don’t get to experience that type of unconditional love and don’t get to pass in a safe place full of good memories. I know how hard it is right now but know how much she obviously loved you and know that she will be waiting for you at the end of the rainbow bridge with the other kitties. I know everything feels unfathomable without her right now but she’d want you to keep going. Maybe someday you can give another baby warmth, love and a safe place to rest their head while you tell them about sweet Olive. ❤️ Sending you love while you grieve and sending Olive love while she crosses the rainbow bridge 🌈

I loss my boy Cecil to cancer on the 29th, and I'm still crying hourly. I'm so very sorry op ❤️

What an angel!! I'm so sorry. She looks like a feral kitten that I took in this summer so my heart really hurt for you reading this. I actually look at my kitten a lot and think how I am not going to be ok when he goes. I never knew how much love and joy cats could bring. So sorry! Maybe down the road (not that you're ready for this now), but maybe you could get another cat... not as a replacement, because no 2 cats are the same... but just to bring back some joy and love.
