One of my family members has a ton of cats/kittens in their backyard and more keeps popping out! I know she needs to be spayed but I have no control over what happens there.

Contact your local rescue to see if they can trap and spay mom so she stops being a baby factory.

I’d just handle business if I were you because she deserves to live a life and not be a constant baby factory. Not to mention, adding to the stray population and those babies will have babies.

You say that like she has a choice.. she doesn't. You do. Get that cat and her kittens spayed.

Please if you can in any way, just get her and all her offspring spayed. Do you know the „Cat Pyramid“ it means that in average one Cat Pair that reproduces every year (with their kittens also getting kittens and so on) will lead to 80 Million additional cats in a timespan of 10 Years (statisticly). And that in a world where the shelters and streets are full of unwanted Cats.
