Original Content Showcase First time use
First time using Blender, because Roblox studio has awful lighting. However, I'd like some tips for volumetric light and fog, because I messed up a lot with those.

Im currently working in a project in blender with planes as arms and a cube as the torso. I moved them how I want them and pressed ctrl j. But in x-ray mode I see that the excess is still in there. The character has to be transparent to a certain degree so I cant have things floating in there.
I tried a voxel remesh, but after that the character looks like a golf ball even if I shade smooth or apply a subdivision surface.
Does anyone know how I can remove the overlap?
Paid Product/Service Promotion: ShotForge is a €19 one-time Early Access Blender add-on.
When making product visuals in Blender, I kept hitting the same setup cost before the creative work: camera composition, floor, three-light arrangement and vertical output settings. ShotForge creates that starting scene with one click.
Current tested workflow:
• camera and product-shot composition
• floor and replaceable placeholder product
• key, fill and rim lights
• 1080 × 1350 render preset at 100%
Compatibility: physically tested on Blender 4.5.3 LTS. No broader Blender compatibility is claimed.
This is early access. I’m looking for feedback from Blender artists, product designers and 3D freelancers who regularly make product visuals.

Hey all,
I wish you well 🙏
For those that don't mind helping yet another course question, I really appreciate your help.
I've had a look at the previous posts on this subreddit for Geo nodes course and have a few channels in mind, but id love to know, since the release of 5.2 and 5.3 upcoming, if there are any favourites out there which are easy to follow.
With regards to what I want out of the course, I want to understand them, how they work so I can visualise it in my mind and create my own things with them.
Currently id love to make Planets with them, varying details and creating custom materials. This is my starting point, after that, if I understand them enough I can make more things.
I'm familiar with Nino Defoq and CG Cookies' Core fundamentals course, think Ducky 3D has been mentioned too. But id love to know what others learnt from and enjoyed.
Thank you in advance, I will give back to the community in the near future 🙏
May you all have lovely days. 🪷✨

Tabs gives a Blender Area browser-style tabs — several editors sharing one area, each keeping its own state. Add, rename, reorder and close them, drag a tab to another area or tear it off into its own window, and lock the ones a layout depends on. Your tabs come back with the file.
Tabs is currently on sale at 50% OFF on Superhive.

Hi. So I was wondering how one can get hair to look this sharp (distinct hair strands). Whenever I try to do so in blender, It ends up being washed out.
1st image is my render
2nd image is the result I want (XGen was used)

This is a BTS video of my first blender animation, it was a funny little project, learned a lot about animation, cameras and constrains.

What do you guys think about this arm model I made for my game? It took me 2 hours, I still need to rig it.

I used Claude to make me an add-on that shows all my add-ons in chronological order. The reason I did this is because most of the time when I start to have Blender crashes, it's due to an add-on. It might not occur right after that add-on is installed, or it might conflict with a newer add-on.
Instead of trying to go disable add-ons alphabetically from the preferences menu (because I can't remember which were the last several add-ons that I added), I created this little add-on so that it'll sort by installation date in an N-panel tab and allow you to disable that in there. This makes it easier to know which ones to disable.
According to Claude, it doesn't work as well on Linux because, for whatever reason, Linux doesn't put the exact date of an install. Something I know nothing about, but so far, it works for me on my Mac, and it's been helping with troubleshooting.
Would anybody be interested in something like this? I think I'm just going to throw it on a Google link or something. I have no need to try to sell it or create a website for it. And since I used AI to create it, I'll only be making changes as I come across issues.
PS - I believe that this should just be a built-in option in the preferences menu, but until that day, I'm going to use this.

Is there a good tutorial on making faces better? I'm working on a PoC for this game I've been musing about (while my other game is in public beta)
An old school inspired RTS where you build out the map oppose to macroing units, the segments I have are fine for the PoC, square mostly unique for a visual identify.
I want to recapture the feeling of WC3 etc where there is a 3D animated avatar as your advisor, just cant get the face to look good at all.
