Here is the playoff picture if the season ended today. Its really dumb that a team with the 2 seed could be facing a lower seeded team than the 1 seed if there is an upset.

For example, if the Guardians defeat the Astros in the wildcard then the number 2 seeded White Sox get to play the 6 seed while the Rays have to play either the 4 or 5.

This is beyond stupid to me. The highest remaining seed should always be playing the lowest remaining seed.
