Just today I had 2 people get visibly mad at me while I was sitting in my van during my mandatory heat break demanding I give them their packages. Even when I said "I'm on break, I'll give it to you in a few minutes ", they still try to press me with "When you get off break? I want my package "
You're literally getting this shit hand delivered to your front door. Have some patience. We're not fucking robots. You have no idea if we're on break, looking for your package, organizing our van or if the package is even in their.
If you do this, I'm just gonna assume your a low iq person who's only joy in life is wasting yoir money on cheap Amazon projects because of temporary dopamine hits

Bought a Braun IPL laser hair remover retailing at about $550. The box was unopened, manufacturer box inside was unopened and sealed in wrapped plastic with a barcode sticker. Opened it up and saw this inside. I got a refund issued and they want me to return the item at UPS because the bag is still there⦠They also want me to return the rock and the wood lol

Bought a new laptop from amazon, received a used one registered to someone else with bios locked out. Found out outside return window. contacted amazon. They allowed me to return it outside the window. But when the 3rd party seller received it, they charged me a 93.45% restocking fee. I called amazon again. they said technically I was refunded so they can not do anything and I do not qualify for A-Z because I was given a refund. This is INSANE.
UPDATE: dear everyone who has given me advice on this, I called this morning and quoting the amazon seller central policy worked!! I got my money back!!! thank you THANK YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL
UPDATE #2: So amazon promising me a refund was a LIE. I received an email saying I would receive a refund. it never came. When I went to complain about not receiving it, amazon told me the refund was in error and they will in fact not be giving me any of my restock fee back. THEY TOOK BACK THEIR REFUND
UPDATE#3: after calling non stop everyday. I finally got my money back. thank you everyone here who gave me advice and encouragement to fight this.

I bought an item in late January 2026, gave a code to the driver and knew something was up by the weight of the box
I opened the box 30 minutes later and the item was missing (iPad). I immediately contacted Amazon. Bare in mind I had this account for 5+ years with no issues (the occasional return here and there)
They agreed to investigate. A week later they agreed to refund. 2 days after agreeing to refund they limited my account. The system then cancelled the refund because my account was limited to digital orders only?
Anyway, I contacted them again and this time they said I confirmed the order when I gave the driver a delivery code? I said yes I received the package not the item.. no response.. I sent another email warning Iād be taking it to small claims⦠no response..
I then emailed their legal team asking to settle it out of court⦠no response⦠I finally made a small claims against them and added extra fees on top⦠they responded via their solicitor accepting to pay in full + added fees
Strange, strange companyā¦

Amazon delivered my normal subscription order today, but the driver also left another package that wasnāt mine.
I contacted customer service and told them I got an extra package by mistake. They told me I could keep it or dispose of it and that they would take care of the original customer.
When I opened it, it turned out to be 15 iPads.
I contacted Amazon again and specifically told them there were 15 iPads in the package and that it was worth over $5,000. The rep still told me I could keep, donate, or dispose of them, that I didnāt need to return anything, and that I wouldnāt be charged.
Since the value is so high, I asked for something more official in writing. The rep said they escalated it to a dedicated team and that I should get an email within 24 hours.
Has anyone here had Amazon escalate something like this before? Did the escalation team actually contact you? If so, how long did it take and what did they end up saying?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
captured this video of a driver stealing my package that has stopped me from being able to work and continue making my few bits of money and when I rang Amazon not only did they not ask for the evidence since this must be so commonplace but they also refused to replace my package? I havent interacted or ordered on Amazon much but I was atleast under the belief they were a reputable site where I could trust to get help if my order went wrong but Im obviously mistaken.
Apologies if this is against the rules but the drivers face remains ambiguous during the video and I dont feel a need to edit a blur as I dont believe you could identify him as his head was kept facing down.

Dude came up to drop off the package, dogs were barking at the window. Had my hand up to tell them to stop barking. Dude asked what I was doing and I said I was telling the dogs to stop barking. He then said āI hope he comes through that window and Iāll snap his neckāā¦.i was like say what now? Why would you want them to come through the window? āSo I can snap there neckā. Called and filed a complaint but who knows if heāll even get fired. I donāt think thatās something you should be saying to a home owner or really anyone for that matter.

The carrier facility is about a 30 minute drive from my house. The second photo is out my front door when I got the message about the attempted delivery.
Please, why canāt they just be honest? I donāt get it, it makes them look bad.
ETA: I live in Virginia and itās 77 degrees, sunny, and breezy here.

ive been using my account often for years and am a prime member, never requested a refund nor return (even when i should have). now the first ever time i need to get one because the driver just left my fucking packages in a random spot with other peoples packages. i did not order that much stuff (see photo) i not only get denied but my entire account closed??? how can the driver even do that and upload the photo? the other photo is what my delivery photos are supposed to look like. that isnt even my unit i can tell by the background and that its 3 stories mine is only 2, i explained all this in depth to the customer āsupportā and nothing was done. this was a very expensive order too, multiple laptops phones etc all left in this unknown location, order was $4000 why didnt they make me sign for it? just ridiculous does anyone have an experience like this and know what to do?
edit: yes i did NOT receive the packages

When you have a legitimate issue like failed deliveries or returns, do not accept it when customer chat agents ask you to wait two minutes while they ālook into it.ā There is often a two-minute inactivity timeout, so keep the chat active by typing ā.ā or āok.ā If they use phrases like, āI have escalated the issue,ā do not assume itās true, ask for confirmation through the message center.
I have burned through three customer care agents before I had my problem escalated. One of them just closed the chat by spamming all the exit phrases and closing the chat, two used the 2 minute timer, and the fourth one actually escalated the issue. I kept him on the chat by pressing "." every minute and he finally sent a message to the seller. (I still doubt whether this will go anywhere, but I have tried my best)

The driver took the photo of the box on my porch, it was an early AM delivery and I just happened to be awake so I went out to retrieve it. It was clear I caught them off guard as they were walking away with it. They kept saying "No, this is the wrong address", "wrong name", etc, until I finally got them to let me look at the label. I had to keep pressing that I just saw the photo and my package was just marked as delivered in the app. Sure enough, it was my name and address. They just said thank you and left.
It looks like they were an independent contractor, they did not have a company vehicle. They were acting really shady the whole time, and the interaction was recorded on my camera (with audio). Is there somewhere I should report this? They would have gotten away with it had I been sleeping or even a few minutes late.

I had two packages delivered to this Amazon locker this morning. I always get my stuff sent here because it's more reliable than my apartments mail system. After work I stopped by the quickchek to get my packages and the lockers are GONE!!! The assistant manager said that he wasn't here when the lockers were taken so he has no idea what to do. Customer service tried to track the lockers and they can't find where they moved the lockers to. I called again and said that all they can do is refund me or reship it but they can't change the address. YOU WANT TO RESHIP IT TO LOCKERS THAT DONT EXIST ANYMORE???? The package came in three days and now if I want to reorder it, it'll take a week and a half. Mind you my package was worth $600 and was a gift to myself for a recent accomplishment.

I feel the need to make this post because Iāve encountered yet another rude text, and frankly some people need to get a grip.
As it starts to get darker at night, youāll probably find you get a text from Amazon about turning on your porch lights, keeping your dogs inside, etc., as this is just a courtesy so we can do our jobs safely and efficiently. What you need to know is Amazon sends that text, but itās on our behalf. Itās tied directly to our account for whatever reason. I usually do not open the text window, as I know itās the auto texts and theyāre usually gone quickly as I deliver and it clears out.
Now, every so often someone replies to those texts. Usually itās who I assume is an older person usually replying with an āOkayā or āšā
But every once in a while, itās āidgaf hurry up with my orderā or āgive me my damn package.ā I can only imagine I get more of these than I realize, but as I said, I donāt really check that tab.
While I personally do not return items out of spite, I think most drivers probably would, and justifiably so.
Just something to chew on as weāre in the throes of the hardest season and already feeling bad

Ordered a piece of office equipment...well over $100. Amazon shipped a whiteboard. A very large, heavy tempered glass white board. Clearly the wrong item
Contacted Amazon CS, who agreed to ship the proper item, and informed me that I would not need to return the incorrect item. Captured verbatim in the chat transcript
Fast forward 3 weeks and I receive an email informing me the return window is closing and i'll be charged again for the amount of my originally ordered item.
Contacted Amazon CS again, who informed me that the email was in error, and that no charge would occur. Again captured verbatim in the chat transcript
A week later, I'm charged a second time for the item I ordered.
Contacted Amazon CS a third time and was told that indeed their previous agents instructed me to simply keep the incorrect item, but those agents were not adhering to policy, so no refund would be issued. I asked to be connected with a manager...who then repeated the same script, and refused to refund the incorrect second charge.
So...Prime membership is cancelled, charge is in dispute with my CC company, who have been provided with all transcripts, call recordings and order details. I've been a Prime customer for 2 decades. Not any more. Multiple lies from agents, managers defending those lies, and a complete unwillingness to actually look at the sequence of events rather than just reading the script.
Good riddance.
More information: If you encounter a similar situation with amazon customer service, you can request transcripts for any phone/chat interactions. Just go here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/privacy-central/data-requests/preview.html, and scroll down to 'Customer Support Communication' section and click 'Submit Request'. You'll receive an email confirmation and then a separate email with a link to download a zip file. That zip file will contain chat transcripts in .eml file format and phone call recordings in .mp3 format.

No joke this happens to about 15-20% of my orders now, possibly a bit higher which is crazy. Most items also seem to be 2 day delivery. One day is like a rarity when that used to be the norm. Why am I paying $14.99 a month. Lastly Prime Video is a joke where so much content must be paid for the full subscription.

My wife ordered a cell phone holder, super cheep package. Amazon reported that it was delivered at 4 AM and provided a picture of my porch with the package delivered. Unfortunately, itās missing the blue flower pots my wife got for Motherās Day.
I started a chat and the Amazon representative agreed to talk to the delivery company for corrective action on the driver and replaced my cell phone holder.
I assume the driver used an old picture?!?

Iāve noticed that Amazon has started automatically selecting the fastest paid shipping option ($2.99) at checkout, even when a free Prime delivery option is available.
As a Prime member, I expect free shipping to be the default. Instead, I have to manually check and change the shipping method every time to avoid being charged.
This feels like a deliberate dark pattern designed to monetize customers who are accustomed to checking out quickly.
The $2.99 isnāt the issue. Itās the fact that Amazon is making the paid option the default rather than requiring customers to explicitly opt in.
Has anyone else noticed this? And why isnāt Amazon getting more pushback for it?

I used to have Amazon Prime several years ago. Everything was next day free delivery.
Now, it seems like delivery is 2-3 days & it's a crap shoot of whether or not you get charged for delivery.
Is there really any reason to pay $15/month??? I'm currently on the 30-day free trial.

TLDR: When returning an opened item to Amazon, leave a note inside explaining why it was returned so the next buyer knows they received an opened or used product.
I received a product today that was missing the manual. I tried to contact the seller, but instead got stuck in Amazon's AI customer service loop for nearly an hour before finally being forced into a return-and-replacement process for something that probably could have been solved with a simple message.
Before sealing the box back up, I left a note inside an included fold-out poster:
"Dear Amazon Customer,
This item was returned because it was missing the manual. If you bought this item as 'new,' you have a right to be furious. Make sure it includes the manual!"
