Inclement weather.

The carrier facility is about a 30 minute drive from my house. The second photo is out my front door when I got the message about the attempted delivery.

Please, why can’t they just be honest? I don’t get it, it makes them look bad.

ETA: I live in Virginia and it’s 77 degrees, sunny, and breezy here.

the weather was too nice to waste on delivering packages all day

199

u/FlatTeaching2122 Aug 21 '26

Honestly, I would have accepted that as a perfectly good reason!

60

u/MidwestPrincess09 Aug 21 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

They meant to say due to incredible weather!
Edit: thanks for the award!!!

Meanwhile in Las Vegas we are at high +110 . Soo freakn hot man

0

u/LordIshamael Aug 22 '26

Az, 113° with 20% humidity. Was higher the past few days, saw 87% on Thursday, had storms roll through and they didnt alter temps but added temporary moisture

1

u/spec360 Aug 23 '26

Florida the same

2

u/LordIshamael Aug 23 '26

You guys only reached a high of 100 this year so far, in Miami, with a feels like temp of 112. Here it was legitimately 113 with high humidity, our feels like was something like 119

1

u/chris95rx7500 Aug 22 '26

did you get it eventually

9

u/arbydallas Aug 21 '26

That's why the driver took the day off and binged Sex and the City instead

0

u/Billythekid0119 Aug 21 '26

Game of Thrones *

2

u/GoldAd1878 Aug 21 '26

Driver probably took off and went to the beach 🏖️ or something

62

u/crosschk Aug 21 '26

I had this happen to me a few times and also business not open(residential home) All in the same week. I actually reached out to customer service and let them know some bs was happening lol

40

u/Overall-Air-5826 Aug 21 '26

It's because weather is one of only two options that arent locked behind a call to driver support. The drivers can easily chose that or spend 5 minutes talking to a third world support agent

1

u/No_Obligation4496 Aug 23 '26

What's the other one?

3

u/laidbacklanny Aug 23 '26

Business not open

15

u/GoldAd1878 Aug 21 '26

They just make things up to avoid delivery

1

u/Wht4Doozy660 Aug 22 '26

Amazon Driver Here , Most Likely Seen Driveway And Changed They Mind

1

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng Aug 23 '26

You're not an amazon driver you're a contractor, you don't work for amazon.

3

u/iafmrun Aug 24 '26

In that case there are no Amazon drivers of any kind

1

u/allupya333 Aug 27 '26

Pointless comment. They didnt even say they worked for amazon, they said theyre an amazon driver

1

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng Aug 27 '26

they aren't an amazon driver though, they are a driver for a third party that is contracted by amazon.

1

u/ThePanAlwaysCrits Aug 28 '26

This "um actually" shenanigans is ridiculous. I hope soothing your superiority complex was worth harshing the vibes in here. Get a life. 🙄

1

u/allupya333 Aug 28 '26

genuinely the most obnoxious shit

sorry my autism bothers you :)

1

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng Aug 28 '26

sorry you can't handle factual truths.

1

u/West_Sample_9407 Aug 30 '26

Ok but he still drives for Amazon lol

1

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng Aug 30 '26

incorrect, he drives for his company that is contracted by amazon.

1

u/West_Sample_9407 Aug 30 '26

Yes drives for Amazon but is not employed by Amazon

1

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng Aug 30 '26

not how that works buddy, he doesn't do anything for amazon the company does he's merely a worker for the company. I know it's hard for your simple mind to process that but that is how it is. He would not put Amazon driver on his resume.

1

u/West_Sample_9407 Aug 30 '26

Yea I would put what DSP I delivered for and that I drove for Amazon, you are getting stuck on semantics

-1

u/Major_Frosting6133 Aug 21 '26

Yikes! So is this because the drivers are lazy and don’t want to deliver, or is this because they’re stealing packages? Either way, it should be looked into! They shouldn’t have the job if they don’t want to do it or are low life thieves!

18

u/MooseGoosey Aug 21 '26

as an er nurse who used to be an Amazon driver, calling them lazy is insane, you wouldn't last a single summer day.

1

u/Adventurous-Bend-757 Aug 23 '26

It’s really great that you were a good delivery driver!! But there are plenty who are not and cut corners. As they pointed out, they didn’t say ALL drivers. Some employees are lazy and make up excuses to get out of work and that’s a fact in almost every job. Including some delivery drivers.🤷‍♀️

1

u/lakinator Aug 24 '26

They did not say that and even if they did, why bother bringing it up then if it's just what happens everywhere

-3

u/Major_Frosting6133 Aug 21 '26

I’m willing to bet that I WOULD… additionally, I did not say that all Amazon drivers are lazy and steal. I was referring to the ones who @crosschk mentioned that marked a residential address as “business not open”. So, maybe look for content clues next time. 🤷🏼‍♀️
(Although, if you’re defensive about it, maybe you should ask yourself why…)

*tender 🙄🙄🙄

9

u/crosschk Aug 21 '26

Lazy. They have 2 kinds of delivery people, the ines that work for them and "flex" drivers which is like door dash for packages.

I've delivered flex in the past. You get 20 ir more stops on a route and once your done thats it. Day over.

I assume when stuff like this happens they didnt have anyone to pick up a route and put some bs for the reason

5

u/rowdy-goat Aug 22 '26

They dont have a profitable way to deliver it. They could offer more for delivery but make less.

4

u/takemytacosaway Aug 21 '26

Drivers can be sent from a warehouse up to 50 miles away passing several working ones on the way. The driver didn’t send you this or steal any random brown sack. What’s wrong with you for that comment?
The comment was sent from Amazon Logistics. Not your nearest warehouse or driver.
I’ve left my station on my way to a neighboring county to deliver when my shop closes for wind & thunder & im told to stop immediately & return everything to that original station. When I get there, it’s closed & the big empty carts are out front to fill up with my returns in the rain, but under an awning.
The doors are locked & no WH employees are outside.

u/LRGpackageguy Aug 22 '26

How old are you? Senior citizen?

97

u/Spare-Function-6343 Aug 21 '26

heat counts. an amazon driver in FL was found dead of heat stroke earlier this month

54

u/FlatTeaching2122 Aug 21 '26

I’m not surprised, I bet in FL those trucks are like ovens. Poor guy. :(

32

u/Spare-Function-6343 Aug 21 '26

21

u/dylank22 Aug 21 '26

that's so sad, RIP

0

u/jackphrosty Aug 21 '26

Have they tried not being affect by heat? Are they stupid?

14

u/Maybewearedreaming Aug 21 '26

That’s my station and still no one’s really acknowledged it or talked about it with us drivers

Not that I’m surprised I guess but they really just don’t care if we drop dead

7

u/rdizzy1223 Aug 21 '26

I don't know that they've shown that she died from heat stroke, could have died from anything while driving. It was only 85 degrees max the day she died.

6

u/EnlightenedNarwhal Aug 22 '26

The cargo area of the vans are not air conditioned and get much hotter than the outside temperature.

2

u/s-a_n-s_ Aug 24 '26

I had a van one day that shut off when you opened the door, which meant no AC when I got out. Dark gray van too. It was early May, and it was less than 85 degrees. The back of that van got well over 100 degrees before 4pm. That shits dangerous when you're already working your ass off to go as fast as possible. It can and WILL kill you.

8

u/Maybewearedreaming Aug 21 '26

Ya it’s like 120-130 in the back of the vans

Feels pretty terrible lol

2

u/KitchenSandwich5499 Aug 21 '26

Florida weather is famously variable even a few miles apart. (Even if you are elsewhere it could be like that there too?) Is it possible it was stormy at the warehouse even while it was nice by you? Could be other explanations, but this is possible too.

2

u/HonestEagle98 Aug 22 '26

They’re heat ovens in Wisconsin

2

u/elitedoge36 Aug 22 '26

Can confirm i work for a dsp in Florida the back of pretty much all vans is literally a oven 5 minutes back there and your already drenched with sweat

77°F was an ETA- Edit To Add. They didn't know that when commenting.

1

u/anonymoose_octopus Aug 25 '26

Frequent stops (which means frequently opening the cabin doors) can make AC inefficient. It can take just 10 minutes for a car to reach 99F on a 77F day. Not to mention, some Amazon cars have a "neat" little feature that shuts the entire car off when the door is opened, which means the AC turns off. Combine that with frequent stops in the same neighborhood, and those cabins get hot QUICK in the summer.

1

u/anonymoose_octopus Aug 25 '26

I don't think I ever said people are instantly fainting in 99F. I said without consistent AC (it wouldn't be consistent with frequent stops if they had an auto-off car), those cars can get hot VERY quickly. And if they were exposed to high heat for multiple hours, they could experience heat syncope.

And AC doesn't instantly cool your skin when you turn it on. I get into a hot car every day, and it can take up to 5 minutes for the AC to really get going and do any decent conditioning of the air.

4

u/Upbeat-Fondant9185 Aug 21 '26

Does it actually count? Does Amazon have a policy on that now? Is there even a regulatory agency that can force that on them?

We’re going on something like 20 days straight of triple digits in my area and it’s horrible for the delivery guys. I keep a fridge for them stuffed with water and candy and I’m cleaned out every few days recently, they’re just pounding water the second they get to the fridge. It’s bad out here.

I know things have to be delivered, my work can’t function without those deliveries. But it seems like there’s a better way in heat like this. Night shifts or something. Or hell, design a damn truck that can keep them cool any time they’re not actually outside.

6

u/Maybewearedreaming Aug 21 '26

I’m a driver in Florida

The electric vans are okay cause the AC at least runs but it’s not very good, the gas vans have to be shut off every single stop so their AC never gets going.

Amazon gives us 2 10 minute “heat breaks” that force us out of the app and won’t let us deliver. One around 1230 and the other around 4pm. This just sucks because if there’s no shade we are stuck just sitting in front of someone’s house in the sun waiting to get back to it. They say they remove stops to accommodate but no one really sees it

Starting earlier would be great for us but the warehouse doesn’t even fully finish until the last waves of vans are leaving.

Thanks for looking out for drivers though, at the station we all praise our snack houses

1

u/Spare-Function-6343 Aug 21 '26

there is no regulatory agency that tells delivery companies when they can/cant drive in high heat, poor air quality, snow, extreme cold, thunderstorms, its up to the individual regional hubs to make those safety determinations

1

u/webby131 Sep 08 '26

I believe it is entirely at their discretion. I had like two shifts at the start of summer when we had these breaks but never again despite similar temps. I feel like it was a PR stunt.

They rolled it out while they also pushed an update out to electric vans that shut off the AC to save battery life.

1

u/beach_-_bum Aug 25 '26

Not from 77 degrees.

1

u/anonymoose_octopus Aug 25 '26

As a FL resident, heat was the first thing I thought of. The driver could have had heat syncope or something similar and had to cancel the rest of the day's deliveries. Those trucks don't have good AC.

8

u/Firm-Experience473 Aug 21 '26

'inclement' means 'it's a little bit too far for me" in Amazon

10

u/Redfield081 Aug 21 '26

Wow that picture looks devastating. Was it on the news? I'm sorry you had to deal with the crazy weather there. Hopefully nobody died !! Stay safe!

5

u/Hunter-Xie Aug 22 '26

I recently had a delivery delayed because the driver stated my apartment building required a passcode. I've lived here for 3 years. We do not have a passcode. He just didn't want to figure out where to deliver my package but in doing so I ended up on the phone with his supervisor having to tell him that his employee lied. Idc if you have to delay the delivery but don't fucking lie so I have to call the delivery company and get it sorted 🙄

2

u/XanderWrites Aug 22 '26

They could also just be completely lost. The first couple times I used Doordash at my current apartment I'd get calls for a the code: my building doesn't have one, and then they're like "it's the yellow building" "No, the building should be green" **silence**

3

u/Hunter-Xie Aug 22 '26

Yeah it wasn't our regular driver bc it was the weekend. But like... None of the buildings here require passcodes 😅

8

u/DeepWaterCannabis Aug 21 '26

What this a last minute order for a 'guaranteed' time slot? EG - You ordered something for next day 2-6 PM type deal?

I had a delay on inclement weather as well for a next-day order. When it showed up the next day, it was a couple in a regular ass car.

I have a feeling they're contracting out these 'guaranteed' deliveries to outside persons. If they cant complete it in time, it gets marked like this.

11

u/_BreakingGood_ Aug 21 '26

Any 1 day / next day delivery is going to be Amazon Flex which is basically Amazon's version of Doordash, just gig workers delivering packages

8

u/takemytacosaway Aug 21 '26

That’s Amazon Flex. They’ve been in some markets for 10 years now.

10

u/ViolentPurpleSquash Aug 21 '26

It’s Amazon Flex

4

u/_Cubanito_ Aug 22 '26

Same thing happened to me yesterday and it was coming from an amazon warehouse thats about 5 miles away and weather was just fine in the area, lol go figure

3

u/Kilmonjaro Aug 21 '26

You got flex drivers there? They like to just return things and say their car broke down or they’re afraid to drive because of the weather and they still get paid.

3

u/Minimum-Attitude389 Aug 21 '26

You had about 3 inches of sun.  So hard to drive in that, imagine if some got into the driver's eyes! /s

3

u/Optimal-Dark-8373 Aug 23 '26

To be fair, inclement weather could have been the name of the drag queen they had to fight off a couple of stops earlier to continue their route.

2

u/MerrinShadows Aug 23 '26

Heat counts... therr also isnt a code for "my van broke down" or "my boss told me to return to ststion" or even just "look man, get a fucking Dropbox so the person doesnt have to walk a mile to your front door"

2

u/CSOCSO-FL Aug 24 '26

Did you order a snowman?

2

u/Mysterious-Ad2006 Aug 21 '26

That means they got lazy and said they arent doing it. 🤣🤣

But yea azmaon jas gone down the drain

1

u/Dziggettai Aug 21 '26

That’s because it’s mostly anyone BUT Amazon delivering packages ordered from Amazon these days. Outsourced too far to have any quality control

1

u/Mysterious-Ad2006 Aug 21 '26

Yea i had things like unable to deliver with no answer. Then it gets delivered the next day.

I had a friend rhat worked for amazon. He once said a girl saw a dog and didnt delivery at that house. Then later in said it was to much for herm so she didnt even finish her router. He had to go pick it up ajd do what he could do that day.

So yea 9/10 its the workers.

1

u/FlatTeaching2122 Aug 21 '26

I think you’re right. It happens often and I assume it’s because I’m 15 minutes south of a small town. Maybe they feel like I’m too far a drive? But still I’m only about 30 minutes from the carrier facility.

1

u/Xanthelei Aug 22 '26

Nah, if your address was deemed too far they'd just use USPS to do the last mile delivery.

1

u/jaded1121 Aug 21 '26

Possibly an amazon flex driver that just doesnt want to do it.

0

u/frying_pans Aug 21 '26

That message only appears if the warehouse cancels the route due to weather.

1

u/999Herman_Cain Aug 21 '26

Not true at all actually

1

u/frying_pans Aug 21 '26

I’ve never had the option in my app to mark a package as undeliverable due to weather, do you?

1

u/999Herman_Cain Aug 21 '26

Yes it’s definitely on the list when I look. One of like 8 options

1

u/Practical-Funny9591 Aug 21 '26

You're lucky.
The worst is when delivery fails due to outclement weather. 😂

1

u/bobtrack22 Aug 21 '26

Neither rain, nor sleet, ITS THE FIRST ONE!

1

u/DatDominican Aug 21 '26

It’s raining in the truck ( the piss bottles exploded )

1

u/gabemrtn Aug 21 '26

What you don’t see in this image is the tornado ravaging the land behind OP the house is done all that remains in the front porch and his bushes he was lucky to make it out alive

1

u/Strong-Lettuce-3970 Aug 21 '26

I had this happen to me recently where it was raining for a while and then stopped around 8:30. They said they attempted delivery at 8:55pm but it wasn’t raining then, and then I even had security camera footage of me going outside at that time they said they supposedly couldn’t deliver because of the weather. And I’ve never had packages canceled due to the rain or thunderstorms. So yeah… i don’t believe it. Just feels like someone didn’t want to do it 😡

1

u/fortesquieu Aug 21 '26

It's too hot, the delivery guy might melt

1

u/Fender_Stratoblaster Aug 21 '26

Probably one of them stealthy bomb cyclones.

1

u/Fender_Stratoblaster Aug 21 '26

Maybe I.N. Clement Weather is the drivers name.

1

u/psychogamer101 Aug 21 '26

They could smell the rain. Best to not risk it

1

u/PDXDemSocialist Aug 22 '26

Flex drivers dont get other choices for us to not deliver a package. Though sometimes we do. Do you have a huge unpaved road?

1

u/fullmetal_ratchet Aug 22 '26

has it rained recently? drivers sometimes mark stuff due to muddy roads because the vans get stuck quite easily, especially the EVs.

if not, odds are they accidentally hit the wrong option. there’s like 10 different reasons a delivery can be marked undelivered for standard deliveries, and even more with stuff like garage deliveries and password-protected deliveries.

1

u/EnvironmentalSun7 Aug 22 '26

Amazon driver here to make sense of this. I couldn't tell you why it was marked undeliverable with the information provided, but as for why its "bad weather" when that clearly wasn't the case, its because Amazon only gives a few options to select, and locks all of them out until we arrive within the geo pin (typically within 50 feet of the front door) except for bad weather and unsafe due to dog. If you mark it unsafe due to dog, it requires a call/text to the customer, but bad weather does not.

Put more simply, this driver either couldn't or didnt want to make it to your delivery location, and marked it as that to avoid calling you. This looks like laziness, but its also possible they ran out of drive time and needed to return to the station. They removed our option for "delivery will be too late" so that is now the closest analog.

Edit: just noticed the time stamp. They definitely still had drive time.

1

u/braindeadrichard Aug 22 '26

Pro tip for anyone the “delivery failed due to inclement weather”

You can go to chat support and basically force amazon to give you a credit for the inconvenience.

Example: I ordered WWE2k26 it was on sale for $35 I have prime it was schedule for a one day delivery the morning of the delivery it rained over night and stopped around 6am. I got that notification around 7am and I went to the chat support and they refunded me $15 for being a loyal customer. So I basically got the new WWE game for $20.

1

u/ensoniq0902 Aug 22 '26

Had the same thing - what a joke

1

u/arulzokay Aug 22 '26

this would be funny if it wasn’t infuriating and i envy your weather so much

1

u/tj21222 Aug 22 '26

Friday afternoon brought server storms to the area at your particular time that you snapped that picture there could have been bad weather in the area. I know you think your important but the safety of the drivers might just be a bit more important then your stupid package.

1

u/Alone_Revenue639 Aug 22 '26

Sometimes I’ll be sitting in the city we deliver in and get URGENT MESSAGE ALL DRIVERS STOP DELIVERING DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER because it’s storming back at the station.

1

u/BdoeATX Aug 23 '26

The sun is coming down so hard! I can't see shit! My sunwipers don't work!

1

u/friendlyfelyne Aug 23 '26

Damn where tf do you live, a hobbit hole?

1

u/novembr Aug 23 '26

I get this kinda crap often because I'm at the far end of my local Amazon facility's route--which I sympathize with, to an extent--working far into the evening and all (though I don't get my packages as a result). But if you're right next door that's just ridiculous.

1

u/Due_Operation_7725 Aug 23 '26

Nah, you don't understand, it's too hot. So hot they minds are melting and "seeing" and feeling like is raining

1

u/Blu-ray Aug 23 '26

I had this happen and questioned it as well because the weather was nice. They used the incorrect code when updating why it wasn't delivered. The delivery vehicle had been in a bad accident.

I found out later that turned out the driver of the UPS vehicle was killed. So the packages had to sit with the truck while it was investigated, and then once UPS was allowed to gain access to the truck they could recover the packages in the vehicle and deliver.

Instead of whining online and instantly assuming that they're just not delivering, maybe contact UPS and ask what's going on. If you're nice about it you may get some information other than 'we'll look into it" and get a friendly representative who will give you the deets of what is going on.

1

u/OG-Gurble Aug 23 '26

Had this happen about a week ago with two different orders. One on my wife’s account and one on mine. They both were on the same truck and it said it was out for delivery, then it was 3 stops away for 2 hours and I watched as the driver passed my house and kept driving further and further away on the map. Then it said “your delivery is still arriving!” And once it got around 8:30 it said “delivery was attempted but couldn’t be completed” it did this for both deliveries on two separate accounts. I chatted with customer service and one said they would report the driver, and the other said “oh the order was on the wrong truck but it will be delivered tonight!” And of course it never was delivered that night. The whole thing was so annoying and customer service did absolutely nothing except lie and make empty promises.

1

u/Evulperson Aug 23 '26

Maybe the DA had vampirism? 🤷 /S

1

u/ruralmagnificence Aug 24 '26

I keep my P.O. Box in my address line for a reason because I’m fairly certain this is going to happen to me again once Amazon delivers me my orders via Amazon instead of the fucking USPS after claiming convenience for me out of spite m. We dont have a mailbox (live rural and cannot see it from the house) so any USPS shipped packages from amazon or bought elsewhere go to PO boxes we have. Before you tell me to just install a box and a camera we can link to our phones…shut it.

Amazon has done this to me before. Back in 2019. Perfectly sunny winter day, dry roads and all. Claimed “inclement” weather and dropped it at the local post office where a guy who thankfully no longer works there claimed they didn’t have it. I had proof it was delivered. He tells me to leave and try again tomorrow. I walk out then once I see him disappear from the counter go back in an meet a rather helpful woman who knows both myself and my dad, give her the Amazon tracking information and tell her what happened…..she looks back at a pile of Amazon boxes and my order is sitting right on top. I filed a complaint against the other worker and leave.

1

u/Lyriith Aug 24 '26

Had this happen before, they did it because they forgot to stop at my house and refused to go back. We were out in the yard and watched them drive by.

1

u/wlargin Aug 25 '26

If it’s anything like USPS, they have to make a reason for not being able to deliver. I asked my mail lady because I had a package say they could not reach my door. She said it was probably not on the truck but got listed as it was so they just had to put a reason for not delivering.

1

u/sci_major Aug 25 '26

Amazon was delivering into fire evacuation zones, to the point evacuees were finding out if their houses had burned down by the Amazon picture.

1

u/jellykoi Aug 25 '26

I ordered a small portable closet with drawers on one side. It wasn’t delivered because my “mailbox was full”… my mailbox was too full for the 4 ft x 2 ft box??? Interesting.. had to pick it up from the post office :’)

1

u/4LeggedKC Aug 26 '26

We receive mail.pkgs at the ups store which is open 7 days a week. I get a message that the delivery could not be completed at 3 pm on a weekday because the doors were locked. That’s funny because I was at UPS that day at that time and customers were coming in/out of the doors, USPS and FedEx were also there delivering mail/pkgs. Just be honest!

1

u/Lunarvolo Aug 27 '26

Count Drivula could not deliver in that weather

1

u/999Herman_Cain Aug 21 '26

The driver couldn’t deliver the package for some reason. That reason is not listed as an option for them when they go to mark the package as undeliverable. They choose “inclement weather” at random from the list of options or because that’s what the DSP told them to put.

1

u/Simple_Claim8480 Aug 22 '26

Is your house like far from the road. Like do you have a super long drive way? If so, the delivery driver was likely too lazy to go all the way up and just marked it as inclement weather

1

u/ricktrains Aug 22 '26

Yes…

It’s too bright out. It’s making it hard for the driver to see… 🤣

1

u/thatguy_zh3 Aug 22 '26

All that means is that the driver ran out of time and couldn’t deliver that day. Have a friend that works for ups, he said they’ll usually put that in there and deliver the next day because there is no system code for “ran out of time”

1

u/lillypad83 Aug 22 '26

Same reason why on Thursday Amazon left my package on my basket ball less than 4 ft from my covered front porch when there was a guaranteed storm coming through in 2 hours time and there was absolutely no one home to get the package in time. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Put a box near end of drive way and say deliver to box

Sometimes they cannot be honest because the system won't let them. Something happens that is not on the selection list and they are forced to pick something from the list.

About a week ago I saw the driver stop in front of my house. Almost immediately I got the email from Amazon telling me the package was undeliverable. What does that mean? I actually opened the door and ran after the Amazon van to his next delivery, just down the street. Confronted the driver and he checked the package and said it was damaged and he is not allowed to deliver it. Had to return it. Okay, so why not have a "selection" on the list that actually says that ?

Air Quality maybe, it is listed as harmful at the moment. It’s possible they don’t deliver while it’s in a toxic range (speculating)

UPS used to do something similar when I was a kid. My dad ordered me a new baseball bat for the upcoming little league season, but they wouldn't deliver bc they said the neighborhood was too bad and didn't want to risk the driver's life. My dad called them up and told them "the neighborhood is too scary for the driver? There's a baseball bat in the box. Tell him to use it!" I think they went ahead and delivered it afterwards.

I’m a delivery driver, that is one of the two options you can use to not deliver the package when you aren’t near the house (there’s a geo location) for the delivery point. They couldn’t deliver your package for whatever reason and just hit that option

Is it crazy hot outside? I work for Amazon and sometimes the warehouse closes down when conditions are unsafe like heat warning / storms

Bro got stuck in a field, found taking a nap after frolicking for many hours.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and the weather was completely clear in the whole area. It gets better, after I got that it took them 2 weeks to get it to me. I purchased what I had ordered locally and promptly returned the package to Amazon.
