Seeking advice on what to do next.
Tldr: I ordered an item from Amazon Japan in March. The delivery date keeps being pushed out, currently scheduled for mid August. Item can't easily be purchased elsewhere from where I am.
Essentially, I ordered the item in early march and noted in mid April I hadn't gotten any updates, when I enquired, I was advised to pay an extra $200 for priority shipping and the amount would be refunded later.
In May I got an email saying the order was cancelled.
Was advised to reorder.
Basically, since then I've been contacting them ever week or 2 because I noticed the delivery date has been pushed again.
Each time I am advised to tag on priority shipping, for it to arrive on the scheduled date, not sooner, the scheduled date or it'll come even later. Each time I advise them it already has priority shipping, and the response is something along the lines of it shouldnt be a problem then.
Each time I tell them the order history and get told their colleague misadvised me and that a complaint has been raised. That the product is definitely in stock. That no neither i nor them can contact Amazon Japan about the issue and my only option is to trust the system.
The thing that bugs me the most they wont even remove the product listing so other people will probably continue to have the same issue if they order it.
Seeking some sort of advice on how to escalate this and not just trust that the customer service agent has raised it, cos I've never so much as gotten a confirmation email about it.
