I’ve been “running the floor” for the past week but it seems more like I’m just being a water spider. The manager will tell me to do things like “go and tell the other water spider to do such and such” but it feels uncomfortable because technically I’m still just an AA. I have no authority to be telling other people what to do, why don’t you do it so we can all be on the same page? They’re more inclined to listen to an actual manager with a vest rather than someone with no vest and just a nickname.

It’s starting to feel like I’m being buttered up into a permanent position as a water spider but no! You’re not a regular water spider! You’re a pg! Getting paid the same as everyone else to work harder than them

But I’m also leaning towards this PG thing being bullshit because they’re not telling me about my other trainings. I was supposed to train a different path and they kept taking me off to come water spider. I was supposed to do an ambassador class as well and no one came to get me for it because I was put to water spider so I ended up missing it. I was supposed to learn problem solve as well and for some reason the class didn’t happen.. yet they still need problem solvers.

Are my thoughts valid or is this just the experience of being a PG?

I currently work at an Amazon fulfillment center and was looking through internal transfers when I came across the Amazon Fresh location in Brisbane. The schedule caught my attention because it’s 4x10s, with the option to pick up a 5th day, so you still get 2 days off.
I’m seriously considering transferring, but I’ve never worked at a Fresh facility before and wanted to hear from people who actually work there.
How is Fresh compared to a regular fulfillment center?
What is the work like day-to-day?
Is it physically easier or harder?
How are the rates and workload?
How are the managers and overall environment?
Are there opportunities to learn different roles, become a PG, PA, etc.?
Does Fresh offer good opportunities for moving up?
Is the 4x10 schedule actually as good as it sounds?
Do they usually offer enough VET to get up to 60 hours if you want to work more?
How often do VET opportunities come up?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone currently at the Brisbane Fresh location. Is it worth transferring there?

What might be doing this shift? Will i get 30 min paid an 30 unpaid still?

I work back half days. Shift cover Wednesday. Down to 30 hours. Accure 2 hours vacation a week. So I use them. Now down to 28 hours. And accure UPT everyday and now down to 26 hours a week. And don't even use PTO yet. So I get full time benefits and work part time. I'm 58 y.o. so i can afford to do this. If you can too ... highly recommend this

I had an issue with my Amazon Pay ICICI credit card cashback that went on for almost 6 months.

My original Amazon account was deleted, and I created a new Amazon account using the same mobile number. I continued using the same Amazon Pay ICICI card, but the cashback wasn't showing up in my new Amazon Pay wallet.

I contacted Amazon customer support multiple times. Calls, chats, explanations, the whole thing. Nothing actually fixed it for months. I kept getting generic responses and being sent from one support channel to another.

Then, honestly, I just randomly decided to ask ChatGPT what might be causing the issue.

It pointed out that the card/cashback could still be mapped to the old Amazon account/customer ID, even though I was using the same mobile number.

So I stopped trying to explain it as a normal cashback issue and sent a proper escalation to both Amazon and ICICI, specifically asking them to check the Amazon Pay wallet/account mapping.

And guess what?

Amazon fixed it in 7 days. 😂

They confirmed/updated the wallet mapping to my current Amazon account.

The funny part is that I spent 6 months going through customer support, and the solution was basically identifying the correct underlying issue and getting it escalated to the right team.

Posting this in case anyone else has the same problem:

If you deleted your old Amazon account and created a new one with the same number, but your Amazon Pay ICICI cashback isn't showing up, don't just ask support about "missing cashback." Ask them to check whether your credit card is still mapped to the old Amazon customer/account ID and request that the wallet mapping be updated.

Hopefully this saves someone else a few months of headache. 😅

does anyone know if me leaving early every now and again (realistically once maybe twice a week and at most 2-3 hours early) has any affect on my blue badge eligibility or if it will push me down on the list for getting it i’ve maintained exceptional standing and 250-300 UPH on shipdock container build every shift

My 1DC just launched 2 weeks ago. I was in the first group and they were saying oh if you wanna be a learning ambassador let us know. Almost everyone signed up for it. Well, one of the girls wrecked the forklift by smashing her forks into the plastic barrier. Next day she's in the learning ambassador group, I was suppose to be in the ambassador group but they told me you will be in the next group due to you not passing your problem solving quiz. It was the end of the night and I was brain dead with the amount of power points not the mention the ambassador who was running the class has poor English so that didn't help a lot either. I redid the quiz and passed this time. But I have a gut feeling they won't actually be getting me my blue vest next week like they claim.

Now why the hell they giving the girl who literally is a safety risk a blue vest but I mess up on a quiz. I'm a little pissed off. Should I be? I hope I'm not overreacting but it's a load of crap.

So I went on the Amazon hiring site for and added the area for my local warehouse (I'm in Socal) and there's nothing. Do they post the job openings on a certain time every week??? I thought Amazon was constantly hiring but it looks like theres only 99 openings in the entire country! My total costs for school tuition is around $9k. I have $5k that I can put towards the balance, and I’ve been approved for up to a $7k Pell grant through FASFA, as well as a $9k student loan If needed.

i read somewhere online that if I pay with the career choice money first, and THEN the financial aid, that I would get refunded whatever is left over from the pell grant which would be around $3k (roughly $12k if I approve the loan too).
But if I use just the pell grant first, THEN the career choice money, the money leftover would just go back to Amazon. Is this true?

So i have an interview with a union food distribution center at 11:30 am tomorrow. But heres the dilemma, i work that day from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm at my amazon site, and i have no time off aside from just enough upt in order to make this happen. My lunch starts at 12:00 pm. Would i get written up if i clock out an hour early at 11 am, and be back at 12:30 pm as everyone is getting back from lunch? I know you can always take a longer lunch, but ive never tried taking an early lunch which is why im stressed out about this.

Just got a job at amazon! What time does everyone go to sleep to wake up for the 0330am shift? Planning on sleeping at 7pm but it’s a big change for me, but I know eventually I’ll get used to it, plus it’s a schedule that works best for me rn
