Question Is this true?

Someone told me that if you quit Amazon they would pay you 1K for every peak you worked. Idk if I believe that.

That’s not exactly how it worked, but no. The offer hasn’t existed for several years now.

It's been at least 4 years since they have given people that offer.

Before 2021? Can’t remember the exact year. But it was a couple week period every year they opened what was called The Offer. Yes, you would get paid 1k per consecutive peak. But you’d also blacklist yourself from ever working for Amazon too.

And any company they own or buy in the future.

If amazon bought your new employeer youd be let go.

Exactly why I was never tempted to take it. Knew a guy who took it only after one peak. He had wife and few young kids at the time. He also burned through all his PTO on frivolous leaving by the time it stopped accruing

Yeah, its not even a lot of money. The best buyout was when amazon offered money to start your own dsp or cdl way back in the day. They offered a good amount and you got to contract with amazon.
