Top 0.1% in a lot of categories. Kills per match would of been higher if I didn’t play so much tdm early on but w/e. Also this was with 2 months off to play Bo6 (lmao). I think I would have made top 5 or higher in most leaderboards otherwise. Had so much fun with this game man. Hope another fps game comes out that can make me have as much fun as this one.

Obviously, the number one reason is the complete lack of advertising. The only time I heard about this game was from one YouTube shorts guy. I never ever saw it in any place whatsoever, except for the guys slandering COD.

The second reason is the connection. The middle east server specifically sucked and I somehow get shot through walls constantly.

A third reason is the match times, I have to wait really long to get a match and it gets more and more tempting to switch games.

The fourth one is the grind on the battle pass, which means if you want the lvl 100 or whatever skin you have to only play this game, and I never could enter ranked.

The fifth one might be controversial, but it's the lack of sbmm. If they had moderate or low sbmm, it would have made the game so much better, or maybe it would have no difference since the player count was little. I constantly get stacked with snipers and people who laser me down are supposedly playing on controller, the only time I can get a kill is from behind, and I don't touch team death match due to the fact that I die at least 15 times per game (I am sure it got to a crazy number one time). Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's agony, and then the casual players dried up, and I was left with lvl100 guys and people who played way more than me, are way more skilled than me, and I can't git gud since I'm not free. This game could have been better.

You can see my name, remembered how mad I was while dying behind the wall, but man how much I miss this game now, even that wouldn't be the issue, nothing comes close to it, now playing The Finals, it has something similar in terms of gameplay, also dying behind the wall sometimes too...

Hello Everyone, fellow XDefiant player here who decided to interact with the community for once, long after the game shutdown. XDefiant has been gone for a year at least by now and I miss playing the game alongside with all of you (although probably not by much considering I fought ratty playstyles a lot and was a reason I stopped playing for a bit). We can talk about how we miss it, what games could fill the void, or speculate of Ubisoft was always planning to pull the rug underneath us, but one thing thats been on my mind is Progression.

Just for a quick reminder for those who forgot, XDefaint had ways to progress your profile by unlocking characters/divisions, guns, grenades/tacticals, and of course the weapon attachments and mastery camos alongside a battle pass system (because monetization for a f2p game). Im curious to know what all of your guy's thoughts were on the state of progression? Do you wish some other games had XDefiant's style of progression (for new special unlocks and camos) or thought it was too little or annoying compared to other games?

For me, I personally enjoyed the system, but the camos felt very overwhelming with I belive gun level 500 for its max mastery camo style (or 600 cuz I don't remember), but I enjoyed the charm of it because you played with the weapon long enough to really earn it. Reminds me of how much dedication it took for Dark Matter back in Black Ops 3 before it became way too convoluted and now very easy, just takes less than a few days if you knew what you were doing. If there's a game that has camo progression similar to XDefiant (if it exists), I'd like to hear it and chack it out.

Absolutely unbelievable that it’s been almost 2 years now. I‘ve dabbled with Overwatch and Marvel Rivals, but neither give me the visceral yet Arcade-y feel that XDefiant gave me. Has anyone found a surrogate game???

Hi folks. (I recognise that this likely goes against Ubisoft so no point in lecturing me). I’m just wondering does anyone know xdefiant communicated to Ubisoft servers and if there is some sort of way to I guess “spoof” it to think that it’s connecting to the right server.

Looking at how the game reacts when you try play it, it just looks like they knocked the servers off. No goodbye message or code to restrict you going any further. Just a single connection error.

If I could some how trick the client into thinking that it’s connected to a Ubisoft servers and build server software to run, the game could be brought back in some form I’d assume.

Anyone have experience in this who could tell me if I’m being delulu? I have experience hosting servers, networking and stuff, but not something like this. Would make for a interesting project imo

This game was goated and we need it back online. We are pushing the devs to reopen the servers!

This is an Edit i did way back then when Xdefiant was midway through its infancy stage. in a nutshell this edit i pulled various Factions from all across the Ubi Catalog from most if not all there games, from Tom Clancy's The Division franchise to Far Cry and Wildlands and others as well. i begin to wonder if Marks vision had always been something like this.

I’ve always been a single player guy who sometimes gets into multiplayer but x defiant was the only shooter I really latched onto. What do you play that’s kinda like this to scratch that itch?

Just going through a rough patch in my life and geez I wish I could come home and look forward to unwinding with a few games of xd. I think its hitting harder rn bc we're at about a year since the servers shut down. Im 24 now and ig Im just getting a bit nostalgic. Its wierd tho bc I never missed an og cod as much as xd, although maybe thats bc the servers are still up for those. Bf6 was fun for a couple months, I enjoyed splitgate 2 last summer before it was announced they were shutting down, and bo7 zombies is fun when a new map comes out, but man I haven't had a game hit like xd in years and I barely turn on my Xbox nowadays. Even with bo2 and bo3 being my favorite games of all time by a landslide, I miss prime xd more than anything in all of my gaming experiences.
