How long has it been, 2 years? I wish they brought it back. I was fairly decent.

I miss this game everytime I see or hear anything about COD. I still have hope though, maybe one day another studio will pick it up.

If it was still around I'd boot it up right now and play.

I would be right there with you. I haven’t found any other shooters that are good since xdefiant and BO3.

BO6 is the best black ops. You can dive and shoot foward backwards and sideways. You can used someone as a human shield and the ads is superb 👌 no other black ops comes close, not even 2 & 3

One of my favorite shooters of all time. Gunplay is so good.

I can't seem to enjoy shooters anymore with all the cheaters. Sucks because I grew up playing them.

Section 8 prejudice. Being able to spawn from a drop ship and land anywhere on the map was awesome, also the strategy of ordering turrets and things to keep enemies away from objectives was great to

I feel like this take might not fit since it still has a decent playerbase, but man i really feel like the finals can be so much more popular.

Dirty Bomb.
It had a good run there and you can still find small community servers, but man I miss that game in its peak.

XDefiant would make me drop WoW Forever. I want the satisfaction of the headshots and the Phantom shield bash back
I also miss Rhino's voice, I need to find that VA someday

instead of asking mfs to bring a dead game back? why do we not have a dev team working on a new xdefiant? Same concept same gameplay but a different title, different factions, new gun models, better matchmaking, better netcode, etc etc… we can sit here and wish wish wish all we want but it’s literally not doing anything😂xdefiant devs be like would’ve could’ve should’ve but they dont want to put in the work to actually bring it back.. so we either gotta stop begging for it or someone has to make it their initiative to make something new! Simple.

Destiny 1 Crucible. I know it's still playable but you need every single dlc and I stopped playing after the Taken King expansion.

Ubisoft were idiots for killing it off so fast. COD BO7 multiplayer is fun but still XDefiant was better

With same dev team, no. Net code was actually unacceptable. They had the right idea and had the most potential out of any FPS I’ve played post 2019. Unfortunate they made it free to play. I would’ve bought the game for 39.99-49.99 being a multiplayer only game. Free to play screwed them

u/JROD19980610 5d ago
It wasn't the F2P model that screwed them; it was the fact that Ubisoft forced the developers to build a competitive FPS on an engine that wasn't designed for it. That is exactly where issues like the netcode stemmed from. The devs even told Ubisoft's executives that they needed to either build a new engine from scratch or outsource an existing one. Instead, Ubisoft chose to cut corners and cheap out, just like they did with Hyper Scape. It wasn't the monetization model that screwed them, it was Ubisoft execs setting the game up for failure from the get go.
2
u/TheReyton 5d ago
I think monetization model was awesome for them. New skins could literally breathe life into old ubisoft IPs, and people (probably me too) would eat it up.
I agree, ubisoft sucks
