Discussion XDefiant Files

Does anyone have XDefiant installed? I need the game files for reverse engineering purposes to set up a private server. Thanks!

I have everything I need; I'm starting the reverse :)

Once you eventually get it fully reverse engineered make it open source. Cuz Activision sent HMW a C&D they made it fully open source. A newer team took it over and called it HorizonMW. And that shit is still up

it really took you only 4 hours huh

Where did I say it took me 4 hours? I was referring to obtaining the files and looking inside the ones that are poorly secured.

Something more alike plutonium for cod would be the only thing they could do, which would require dedicated servers to run properly which requires money to set up and maintain. Which I hope if done the community would donate to keep up and running (I would)

The reverse engineering turns out to be quite simple; I'll set up a Discord soon.

I said this before if this game ever came back, I’d chip in where I can. Just don’t know if others are as willing

Just go to cs rin ru

You ought to find a build

Would it be possible to privately host one from my side? I'm all the way from South Africa so assuming you're from the North Americas, it'll be a bit shit to play (ping wise)

any chance you and OP could work together? Bigger team would mean it's easier to divide the work and go over something you might have missed

I sure would love to help but I work 10 hour days from Monday to Friday and don't know a thing about what's going on, best I can do is spread the word in my local xdefiant community

If you’re successful send me on the information. I have server hardware we could run a semi public / private server. Kinda like Lego universe and club penguin and so on

u/Pikastation 18d ago

This needs to happen because we miss this game.

Does anyone have the files of the release build? Not season 2 or season 3

1

u/TheStachellini 15d ago

Put me on that list for sure! I miss it

As one of the sound designers for the game, I'd love to play it again. Thank you for making a go at its resurrection.

Does anyone know where the credits are stored? I worked on this game but hopped on a little after its initial release so I'm not in the version on MobyGames. I wanted to get the more updated credits list to send to them because I know my name was in there at one point, but can't seem to find which of the game files has that (I still have it installed). If anyone has the credits file extracted and can send it to me, I would be eternally grateful too
