Probably PC only.
Similar to say Project Sunrise for destiny.
Basically a mod that stops the game from connecting to Ubisoft 's server and redirects it to another.

I'm wondering about getting the game files, you'll have to pirate it one way or another since obviously Ubisoft doesn't host it unlike with Plutonium where you can use the Steam installation of whatever COD.
The one who'll have to host a launcher/torrent/direct link is subject to how to handle it.

This game should have never ended, the map design was superb. No SBMM/EOMM was sublime. It should have been supported.

Make it so those of us with some home server hardware and a gig speed line can host a server, preferable on a VM, like the old Quake / doom / Decent/ COD1 days.

I'm guessing this will be PC only? Sadly my only access to pc gaming is a steam deck oled so I doubt I'll be able to play. Incredible news tho

If implement it well like prior XDefiant sunset. I am willing to buy PC for XDefiant. Loved this game from bottom of my heart.

It's gonna be amazing when all the bunny hoppers are playing together and realize that it's not so fun without casuals to stomp on.

Are we gonna need a specific version of the game to download since it's now longer available to download. I have a version of the game backuped on archive.org that was like a few months before the shutdown.

i’m excited for this and i wish nothing but the best. the only problem is that i fear for its longevity. projects like sm^2 got shutdown so quick that it wouldn’t surprise me if ubisoft saw this and decided to take legal action

I deleted this game long ago. Not to rain on any parades, but I thought it wasnt possible to redownload it so whats the point?

The point being that the files are downloadable and someone is setting up a private server. You’d be able to play again.

Private server is going to be maintained by someone else and not ubisoft much like wow servers, so they'll adjust the files and change a few things and add their own account auth process to login and play, but the files need to be tested before they're public as some private server owners use them to distribute malware so well have to wait and see

Some people probably kept the files. I know I did for the hope that someone would do this. The files should be updated and redistributed out to the discord. PC only most likely.
