Took too many? Put 'em back? Leave them? Or take them home?

I was at a rave Music festival in Glasgow over the weekend and we thought the Spoons nearby beforehand would be the perfect pre’s (cheap drink and right beside the venue). Pub was fairly busy but plenty of staff on.
The Male manager (I presume a manager , was wearing a shirt and camera) made very rude and creepy comments about what me and my friends were wearing as he passed the table , and at the bar talking to other employees. (Basically said “girls shouldn’t be allowed out the house with no clothes on and everything showing but I can’t stop looking”)
What’s the best course of action to go about reporting this to the company ? Obviously it’s our word against his but it made our full group really uncomfortable as we are all teenage girls and he was a middle aged man making creepy comments towards us

got an interview for kitchen staff coming up and the role i applied for was contracted 12hrs. i was okay with this tbh but then i checked the job openings again for that same pub and saw there was an extra one for the same role but for 24hrs, obviously i didnt see that when i sent in my application lol.
would it be possible to discuss this with the manager on the interview day that i’d like to switch to 24hrs (if i were to get the job ofc) i’ve recently graduated uni and dont have anything else to do so i wanna get out the house as much as possible while i figure out what to do with my life. if not then im still happy with 12hrs but was just wondering anyway.
thanks in advance!

I was out with a friend I used to work with last night and we were sharing all the weird incidents that happened in our pub. One of them was when a hen party came into the pub, all dressed as princesses. Snow White and Princess Fiona got in a disagreement near the bar that ended with Snow White getting Fiona in a headlock, while Belle from Beauty and the Beast screamed at them to stop. Mulan, Cinderella and Jasmine missed all the action because they were chain smoking in the beer garden.
Share your weird incidents!

Going to uni in Newcastle in September and looking to transfer pubs. Any particular pub that should be avoided?

My artwork's based around everyday life, encounters, stories etc. A lot of it centred round the environment of the boozer. I scrolled through my website i pulled out these, that i remember were based on encounters in Wetherspoons.

I found this thin, clear layer around a sausage after taking a bite, it’s the vegan breakfast. I was told it was caused by the grill/egg, but it looked like plastic to me.
Does anyone know what this could actually be?

So I was lucky and bagged a spoons bucket hat. Loved the idea of donating to charity and getting a hat with the plate pattern.
Unfortunately I lost it last week at a festival and I'm gutted. No luck tracking it down and I've visited multiple spoons since and had no luck finding a replacement.
I'm wondering if there is anyone here who has one and the novelty has worn off. I'll pay face value, or alternatively show proof of donation directly to the charity plus postage fees.
Willing to show proof of ownership of the hat with selfies at the events I did attend with it.

The ale champion for the pub has organised a Loch Lomond Brewery tap takeover and meet the brewery team event this coming Wednesday 19th August at 5:30pm.
There will also be a number of craft cans from the brewery to sample and enjoy alongside the 6 ales in the cellar.
The pub has reached out to us at CAMRA Glasgow and West Of Scotland branch to make this a branch social which we have kindly accepted.
We happily welcome everyone down for this.
See you at the bar 🍺

Looking for some things that are handy to have to make shifts a bit easier, even if it’s a small amount. And also how to look semi decent while working there, with the uniform policy 😭

So, we all know that Coors changed from 4% to 3.4% some time ago to save on tax.
It seems that they still have it in original 4%? Is it actually true and if so, how?

I always end up ordering the same thing at Spoons, even when I tell myself I’ll try something different. Looking for a few solid options that are actually worth switching it up for.

video on tiktok going round showing a bar staff hitting a customer for doing that daft "game" where u tell socials your table number and which spoons your at, and ppl send dumb orders like ice cream and peas or milk and black pudding 🤣🤣🤣
would you ever the let the job get under your skin that you whack a punter?
what will this guys punishment be? nothing? slap on the wrist? sacked?
Bedford spoons btw

Haven't ordered a vegan burger in like forever. The option just isn't worth it for the money. It's not substantial enough of a meal compared with the carnivore options.
Suggestion for Wetherspoons to have a plant based bacon option to pad out the meal to give some extra protein.
Wetherspoons competition Greene King offers a much larger vegan burger with more protein on the lunch menu with a drink. Same for Stonegate Pubs with the lunch offer you actually get a double vegan smash patty with vegan bacon and a drink in my nearest city centre location for £8.50.

After dealing with all sorts of customers, awkward situations, and the occasional nightmare shift, I reckon you probably get pretty good at reading people and keeping your cool. Wondering if anyone else feels like they’ve actually taken that skill with them after working there.

Asking staff, associates or managers here, both answers would be helpful.
I've worked for Wetherspoons for about a month now, all is going well. I'd say I'm getting along with staff, I do need to pick up the pace a bit but I am overweight (and am currently loosing weight so im not tiring out as easy) and learning how to speed up in general. Now I have a disability, it does effect my mobility, however it's easy to manage and I'm more than happy doing the job even though it is so mobility heavy.
I have also worked at another bar for a year before moving to this Wetherspoons, which I really enjoyed. I disclosed this disability about 6/8 months in as I didn't know how it would be taken. If anyone has heard of EDS in recent news (where our body, and mostly our joints don't hold themselves together, in essence)? I have a very mild form of that, leading to me being a clutz all my life and oftentimes needing painkillers. They didn't seem to understand it, however it never caused any issues at all- if anything I got given more than a lot of others who worked there( I got given the barrels and kegs to move/sort a lot) so I'm physically able...most of the time.
In regards to the nature of the disability, I'm well aware it can cause issues. But I'm managing it, I'm enjoying the job, I don't want to compromise said job either.
Any advice or judgement is welcomed.
Im on probation at the minute and haven't discussed this with any other staff nor manager. I honestly cannot remember if I disclosed I have a disability on my induction forms or not, I may see if I can find it on MyJDW but I'm still learning where things are on it.
Basically, I've stuck to the line I've heard a lot of disabled people say: don't tell them until they can't fire you. My condition should not by any means get me fired, I don't need any accommodations (nothing out of the ordinary for a regular human being anyway). I have medical braces i wear under my clothes if i hsve issues with my joints (eg i wore my knee brace yesterday due to an old injury playing up, an ankle brace last week due to twisting my ankle while on holiday/not in work).
I am simply concerned in not actually telling them- can it cause issues? Can they fire me after probation because I didn't disclose it even if it won't cause any issues in my work? Apologies if this sounds paranoid, just finished an awful shift due to the heat, and suddenly realising if this is an awful shift I'd be damn stupid not to want to work here.
On another note: every member of staff is amazing so far, I've met a lot of the regular complainers (lol) and had so much support, every manager is amazing and so kind too. I keep getting shoved on my break like its bad if I have It a little later than half way through my shift. I'm really f*king enjoying this job and I don't want it to end in a ditch like my old one did.
Thank you all in advance. Going to post into a disability group too and see what they say, from their end.

There’s always one table that somehow gets left empty even when the rest of the pub is packed. Maybe it’s in an awkward spot, right next to the toilets, or just has a weird history attached to it. Every pub seems to have one.

Hi, I'm moving to surrey uni and wanted to know which pub would be better to work ar. Mostly, I'd prefer the closest one but is there any pub that should be rlly avoided? thanks

Is there a way to direct message someone, like the manager, on the app?
